    When I was in grade 7th,riding to school on a broken bicycle I always skipped lunch everyday (because my family was poor so I couldn't afford it at school). I usually drink water to calm my hunger. I'm so happy to see these students get their stomach filled ❤

    How wonderful. Customers have an opportunity to do a kind deed and give back to their community, Akira gets good business and has the joy of seeing people enjoy his food and give back, and of course kids don't go hungry and feel the love of the community. Everyone benefits, how amazing. 👏🏼

      and a big bonus is the kids are safe in an end environment to learn they don’t have to fear that somebody’s gonna do something bad to them. They get their bellies full. They get their mind full and they can keep going so that one day they can get reasonable jobs and good opportunities.❤

    My friend came here before last year and donated around USD1000 worth of food money. He said he will come back again every other month to visit and make sure kids could eat.
    When the owner asked why he said "Because someone paid for my meals when I had nothing."

      I read one article about that with the almost the same story about the store. The owner of Genki Curry said there was one kid that is a regular of his store using the free ticket. When the kid became an adult and already have a job he came to the store, the store owner at first knowing him as a regular even though he was already an adult the owner offered to give him a free meal but the person said he came in because he said the store helped him so much so he will give his entire one month salary at that time.

      There are restaurants and stores here, that do it for homeless people. We also have parents, staff and strangers, who put money on our student’s lunch accounts (anonymously).
      Also, when you watch these types of videos. The algorithm will keep generating more of them, for you to watch.

      Americans are the most genuinely giving people in the in the world. You just don’t realize it coz it’s not always in the news.     This warms my heart so much!!! We had something similar back at the height of the ottoman empire where a vendor would put a "charity basket" and those who are well off would buy twice the amount they need for their home and split what they bought between the charity basket and their homes. I thought that humanity will never progress that far ever again but I was pleasantly surprised today. May these beautiful communitites prosper and live in happiness ❤❤❤

    As an earning adult who can afford extra meals. I'd definitely go out of my way to go there and buy extra meals. It's zero extra effort for me, to directly support a worth cause.
    Better than giving money to a 'charity', where the money donated rarely ever actually gets to those in need.

We dont even have vending machine here because the contents will be stolen in 1 day. We dont have nationwide trains because the railways are getting stolen and sold as scrap metals.
      Japan has this samurai mindset. Honor is more important to them than wealth.

    another reason, there is not that many children in japan
    they are rare

    Yes. This prepaying for meals initiative needs to spread even more. I remember hearing about the "hanging coffee" place for the first time and wishing it was more widespread and in all places providing the things we need to survive. The way I'd spend so much just prebuying things for others 😢 I'd want my kids to have the opportunity if we were living in poverty. If I were able bodied I'd run a place my damn self right here 😭❤️

    What an absolutely amazing idea! In America, the tipping culture causes people to be cautious of extra fees - but Knowing you're helping hungry children would certainly change the dynamic.
