Wow great stuff, reminds me of an amalgamation of Keith Jarrett & Brad Mehldau. But he definitely still brings his own flavour to solo piano playing! Great transcription!
@@hvanngil9575he sounds a lot like Keith and Brad. But he has his own flare and approach too. Not a rip off of them. But you heavily hear his influences
Am I the only one genuinely left emotionally indifferent to shai's playing on that tune? (I don't mean to criticize his obvious talent or relevance - I even own a few of his albums - and I've been playing the piano for years with interest in any jazz piano player especially Jarrett and Mehldau - more of the latter in that song with the sparse pedal an intricate left hand... just that weirdest feel which makes me wonder if I should seek treatment)
Personally I've fallen in love with this piece since I listened to it for the first time a few days ago, I think it strikes a rare balance between virtuosity and emotional impact, and I'm a huge fan of Jarrett and Mehldau as well. It's all a matter of taste in the end, but to be honest if you are not moved in the slightest by this piece I do find it a bit concerning…
Great piece and transcription! Thanks!
So good !

Human Nature and Blackbird at the end! What a privilege to hear Shai do his thing. Amazing performance.
