After coming here to IHOPKC 21 years ago to pour out my life in prayer, I have turned in my resignation because silent compliance, once you know the truth, is agreement and support of it! My family and we’re part of ihopkc for years. We actually just moved from there in June.
I have taken the position I will not even allow my children to attend signs and wonder camp there. I can not and will not invest into any of their programs.
They need to completely clean house and remove all leadership!

When you’re a young woman and a strong older man who you respect and admire offers you a close relationship and mentorship not to mention admiration- furthermore this man seems so close to the Lord… things they do will seem like it’s ok because he is your leader and you want his validation. We need to teach our young people how to recognize these predators and we need to raise our leaders differently.
Raise the leaders? Bickle is 100 percent responsible for his behavior.
@@bordendonnaright, but I think they mean there are aspects to the way we raise up people to be leaders that lead to this kind of behavior. For example, I once went to a leadership conference where the pastor said he had a “yes” policy with his staff members. Whatever he suggested for a sermon series or event or marketing or whatever, he expected his staff to say an enthusiastic “yes!” And THEN figure out how to make it work. That sounds kind of fun and positive - yes, let’s work from can-do attitudes. But also, no - every leader NEEDS to surround himself with people who will say NO to him. When we teach people to always say yes, we end up with abuse. When we teach people to demand a yes, we end up with abuse. Consent is not exactly a hallmark of churches these days.

This leader chose a different path--one riddled with manipulation, coercion, corruption and indulgence, not to mention strange doctrine--like his “intimacy with the bridegroom” teaching he undoubtedly used as a tactic for sexual abuse. I hadn’t gotten very deep into the actual allegations and statements and all that, so I wasn’t expecting to read that kind of statement (I mean, intimacy with the bridegroom in terms of his behavior - it’s just sick). How gross is this entire story? So gross. How can men BE like that? It makes me fear for my own kids as they approach marriage. How do we protect our kids from men like this if we don’t even know who they are?
It helped me a lot to read a book by Dr. Kevin Leman by the title of "The Pleasers; Women Who Can't Say No and the Men Who Control Them." I've read it three times and got more out of it each time. After the first time, I realized I should have gotten a raise at work months ago, asked my boss for one, got it, and then immediately went to my church to make appointments to see the church's counsellor. Freedom felt wonderful and I wanted more of it. I think that a copy of that book should be given to every female 12 years old and older.

I'm very close to people who are active in this organization and my heart bleeds for them. My heart bleeds for the victims of Mike's actions and the absolute train-wreck of a public statement he put out.
The idea of his actions being covered with the blood "20+ years ago" and therefor not damaging and destructive to the victims and people still with IHOPKC is unconscionable.
Why is this happening 40+ days later? Why is he doing more defending than actual confessing? Does Mike think himself so above reproach that, as he puts it, his "indiscretions" are somehow minimized?
This is anything but a confession but more damage control to protect a multimillion dollar organization that has a long history of clergy abuse and mistrust.
Maybe it’s because he believes he is a “ manifest son of god” in other words deification of man. Which is latter rain which is IHOP from its inception.

When he gets right with God his victims will feel heard, genuinely validated, and publicly exonerated.
They will feel like they matter .
Infact they will matter to him instead of him caring only about himself, his feelings, and his fame and public influence and public financial support. He won't just say sorry to the many he harmed but he will be sorry and people will know it.
He will be ashamed and he will humble himself before the Lord
And he won't care about his future prestige and we'll being but rather he will care about people's souls.
He won't be able to stop.lifting up Jesus, and salvation and the power of the cross and show public remorse for hurting Jesus and the people for whom He died.
The pride and arrogance will be gone and the stupid claim that God is protecting him from public righteous anger.

I grew up in church almost 50 years now every time a pastor or leader of a ministry admits to moral failures he is always brought in front of the people he leads and confessed in person. Why is Mike Bickle allowed to write a letter?

40 years ago my youth pastor got up and apologized in front of the church then tried to run off with the 16-year-old he was involved with.
An admission, not a confession. He only admits to the stuff that can be easily proven by records and witnesses. He admits to the bare minimum now that he is caught. No remorse of the victim...in fact still calling her a liar. MB the narcissistic liar...its the only language he knows. What a disgrace!!!

When Mike threatened “someone” in his family “might” release her emails, I guess we all know that’s his bully son? Is he the one with April Rose? The lady who vehemently denied any involvement in this? If he is an abuser of wife, then where did he learn to be a bully? A narcissist? From his dad, The Mike Bickle? Is Mike abusive to Diane? Has any woman from church helped her? Everyone is talking about Mike, but does anyone realize that based on Jane Doe’s testimony to The Roys Report that she said Diane was NEVER at any of the gatherings including the frequent Pizza and Movie Nights? I truly believe that men who do what Jane Doe is saying, do not have a healthy marriage? Diane needs women of IHOPKC to help her.

Yes you raise good questions which are necessary so that we can take charge and change the culture of silence in the church. . Where's the true fellowship??...the gospel is all about relationships. We need to make sure that in our close family in Christ, our brothers and sisters are safe and sound.
We need to get to know the people that is surrounding us and truly fellowship with them, caring for them and love them!

Mike was confronted by a prophetic word of knowledge back then regarding this affair. God is the One Who gives Words of Knowledge so God is the One Who confronted Mike yet there was no confession or repentance.
The more you dig, the more I feel how deep and dark this deception went for years in the church system. Sad, but awake! This is the shaking some prophets have been talking about. We really need to have the fear of the Lord in us🙏
My son was inappropriately courted by a Christian School teacher. I was a teacher at this school . When I brought this to light I was threatened that I would be fired ....and the last day of school I found a pink slip on my desk. (Released from my position) WA State.
God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Mike is very charismatic. With that gift comes the ability to control people. A good looking guy who talks right, shows love, compassion…that’s exactly what people want…especially young girls in the church. Mike preyed upon young women, using charismatic charm. An older man, supposedly a Godly one, paying attention to you? Mike knew exactly what he was doing. I’m astounded what happened in Paris. I’m astounded church leadership did not know he took all young women and only 1 man on that trip. Mike was not under any authority at church…he did what he wanted and nobody said “boo” because Mike Bickle didn’t need approval to take trips and spend church money under “church work”. There are more women but some knew what they were doing and it was consensual. They don’t look at themselves as victims. Plus, if those women came forward, they’d be asked to step down from their ministries also. They aren’t going to reveal themselves either.

My 1st boyfriend was a good deal like this guy, I wanted to marry him but he kept changing girlfriends like socks each day. I became angry once and told him off, I think that was when I finally came out from under his spell! Boundaries are put in our makeup to protect us! Glad we didn’t marry.

Omg! I just realized that MB doesn’t say that he’s sorry for pain he caused Jane because he considers her a willing Participant in adultery! That’s why he had her pray psalms for them. Lacking in this statement is grief and sorrow for how his behavior has prought the shame and disrepute on the name of the Lord. If he truly loved Jesus, he would be sorrowed that because of him “the way of truth is blasphemed/evil spoken of” 2 Pet 2:2. I am a 68 year old intercessor from Texas. I applaud the 2 of you for standing up for all the Jane Does!! I highly encourage the stance you’re taking!! it is absolutely evil. His letter is vague and dismissive. The level of pathological narcissism revealed in this letter “confession” is disturbing. at many levels. I agree it is a concession not a confession. My heart aches for the women and their families. And his own wife.
I find it difficult to see his wife as a victim, too. I am sure she must have known what was going on, for instance him grooming so many very young women. My husband and I were in ministry, too, with students mostly between 20 to 25 years old. There were clear cut rules about how to interact with females. You were not allowed to meet them one on one privately for instance, there had always to be other people around, and there were no Bible study groups allowed with only females. If my husband had gone on a trip abroad with young women only, I would never have tolerated that, quite apart from the fact hat such a trip would never have been approved by the leadership. From my point of view, Bickle's wife played along knowing that something was off. And it seems that there was also no oversight and zero accountability for Mike Bickle, which should be a no go in any church environment.

Sometimes they do know, but don't want to face the reality --or the person they are in relationship with is so controlled in their abuses they gas light those around them to see them as victims or heroes. In Mike Bickles last sermon with what now seems like a manufactured prophetic word, he mentioned more than once that accusations will come from one's own family. He also stated that Davids own family came against him. I can't help but think behind the scenes his family may have have confronted him or he had an inkling someone in his family might speak out.

my guess is if Mike Bickle apologizes to Jane Doe or any of the women in this statement, he is admitting guilt. At that point, he is opening himself up for damages by the victims. Obviously this statement has been review by lawyers to make sure they are protected. The fact that Stuart greeves got a standing ovation is pathetic. That whole congregation is drinking the kool aid. The reason we need to talk about this is to make sure there are NO MORE future victims
Also that Volz was standing behind Stuart encouraging the congregation to continue clapping was revealing
Unless a community undergoes fundamental restructuring, profound repentance of all sorts of sin ( idolatry of leadership / lust for power / degradation of others / adulteries, etc. ), and humble openness to learning from their mistakes / pride / fears, there WILL BE MORE victims. Not necessarily of a sexual nature, but at least of a psychological / spiritual nature.
Interesting for me is that my hubby is a doctor. If a doctor EVER groomed a patient or a nurse, he wouldn’t just lose his job, he would lose his license and NEVER be able to practice again. By LAW.

We were in Bickles church from 1983 right after it started as KCF to 1992 when we moved away and then sent our oldest son to rh School of Worship in which for 3.5 years he played drums in the prayer room. We did let want to believe this about Mike but thankfully, we are very attuned to groomers and pedophiles and this kind of church abuse now 30 years later. I’ve known God was going to shake everything that can be shaken so this isn’t surprising. Still heart breaking for the woman(women) involved and all the fallout to everyone who LOVES the prayer room!

You can guarantee the men covering this up (and perpetrating the abuse) would have gotten out their pitch forks and torches if a teacher had done this with a student. But a Christian ministry leader? I watched the documentary of Hillsong last night. It opens your eyes to many things that these ministries will go to great lengths to cover any corruption. One thing that struck me was that Brian Houston made sure that Carl Lentz would be absolutely crushed so that he would never speak out about any shifty things Hillsong or Brian hid behind the scene''s and kept bringing it up on interviews. Carl did enough to discredit himself but it went much further with Brian to bury him. Bickle et al Corp. definitely will burn Jane Doe 1 so that no other victims would want to come out on the record. I left church/ministry in 2001 after 10 years in the prophetic b/c God showed me how it was no longer about Jesus but the Corporation. I could say much more but this is your platform. This all stinks and yes we are all sick of the Big Boys Club.

I am a Christian who believes the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still active today, but I am not wanting to be associated with the abuse and lies and distortion IHOPKC has been engaging in for YEARS. Sadly, many Christians will no longer be interested in the gift of prophecy thanks to people like Mike, using it for his own gain.

The darkness is coming to light. The false teachers are being exposed. The fear of the Lord is not taking place on the pulpit from these abusers.

I have a sense/thought that in the beginning of this process the 'victims' wanted nothing but acknowledgement of the sins against them and for Mike to step down from active ministry. I am so tired of Christians hiding behind ‘do not touch Gods anointed’. Who says he is Gods anointed? If he went near another women once or 50 times is irrelevant. I've been a KC resident for all of my life and my heart breaks for the people who have been deceived by Bickle and IHOPKC. Looking from the outside, reading quotes, and watching actual IHOP services, it is clear that Bickle and those that he associates with are false teachers and false prophets. My prayer is that everyone who attends IHOPKC will be drawn to Christ, leave IHOP, and join a church that teaches the bible instead of emotions, fake revelations, and demonic practices.

I was reading the letter from mike that I thought it was supposed to be a confession but it sounds like his relationship with Jane was a oops one and done mistake that he did over 20+ years ago, however when I read Jane doe account it was an adulterous relationship that lasted about five years. But I read how mike supposedly confessed to God of his indiscretion and God assured him they were good because he was going to live a holy life from that point on. but Mike didn't commit adultery on God he committed it on Diane, his children and the church so how could God be good with something that the victims of mike's indiscretion are not included in on that confession? splain it
His apology letter almost makes it sound like putting blame on people for bringing up the past, as well as not really naming whatever really happened. There was a lot of churchy kumbayah language but not a lot of content. I never thought we'd see behavior like this.

Far too common these days by religious leaders. Keep exposing the truth, cleansing is required. It is obvious that he's still hiding much. May the other victims have the courage to come forward. Other types of abuses must also be exposed in all circles. I hope those who hid him and his sins also have consequences. They badly mishandled the whole process from the beginning.
