Carol is a true artist. Her choice of paint and other design modifications show that. I need to find me a girl that is so excited about cars that she taught herself to hot wire, right?
My mom drives a 2010 Camaro RS with a 304 HP V6 and seeing a mother driving a hot rod is cool enough but a grandma driving a hot rod is even more awesome.
+Yannick Bislin Agreed! I don't care if it looks like crap, got rust, and the paint is flaking off. I still love my car. Busted knuckles and all,for that killer cruise down a long country road,it's all worth it. Go drive your car!
+Yannick Bislin Kinda ironic because this car seems to be more about how it looks than how it drives, I'm sure it drives just fine though. It kind of is a status symbol due to the whole comment about not wanting any other car on the road to have the same paint as hers. No hate at all, love the story, love the final note, but I don't know if it really fit in this video.
+PhattyMo I had a 2000 Ford Explorer, with a pushrod 4 liter V6. Not exactly an ideal vehicle for having fun in the corners but I still did. To me, a true car enthusiast is someone who can fun driving no matter what car their in.
I think I love this car more than all the others you've shown so far. I love love love the cars that aren't massively hopped up but are just made better.
Carol is awesome. What great car! It is so cool to see this kind of ride and this kind of owner featured on big muscle. She seems like the kind of classic car owner that truly loves her car. Love is what will keep this hobby alive. 9:55 is spot on. Great quote Mike.
Best paint I've ever seen on a custom car! And wow what a colour, you can tell out in the sun it would look even better. A credit to the owner and as a hobby painter myself what an amazing job the painter has done.
Watching this video has just made me happy! Very hard to explain, but I've literally been smiling the whole entire time! Beautiful car with a lovely owner.
+Mister mood totally depends on how much bodywork it needs in preparation for paint. If you email me at chris@westcoastautocraft.com i can give you sone scenarios.
+Mister mood just guessing from a Bodyman perspective, your looking at anywhere from 4-10 thousand or more, labor to take it all apart, make sure all the parts will be able to go together easy, primer, sandpaper, time/labor, paint materials, colorsand/buff/denib/buff/buff put it all back together, make sure gaps are correct. just a full paintjob can take nearly a week if the car doesnt need cosmetic work and everything is there.
one day I'd love to own this car... as a collector you can appreciate the story that comes with a vehicle and that's what makes them truly special and one of a kind. cause without a story, its just a 44 ford with a nice paint job. well done drive!!!
I know times have changed and things will always change because time keeps moving but my god! The curves, the humps, the wide running board, that grille, the profile, what were they thinking, how did they even come up with a car design like this, what was it about the 40s that made them think of a design like this and why can't they do it now, this car is just beautiful. So much charisma, so much character, so weird, so cool.
I agree 100% Mike, drive to drive. Enjoy the experience, it's not about how much $ you can dump into a vehicle. It's more about seeing how little you can spend still making it a reflection of you. Enjoy the build as much as the drive.
I was thinking I have seen that car a few times before. That is one great paint job and I normally don't like that style of paint. I am from the Livermore and Pleasanton area also. Glad to know the who is driving now.
I really miss this series - Mike Musto has to be the best car show host ever. Just a nice guy and not the loud mouth show off type that we've had to get used to. First class chap.
I put 80k+ on my work truck a year, and at the end of a long day, I just want to hop in my Subaru and blast around or just cruise about. I've personally logged over 2million miles, and the drive ain't over yet :).
Love the car; paint, wheels/tires and stance are professional and locked in. The only thing I would do? Smooth tucked chrome bumpers. That's all, though.
Beau Lancey yep If you like PickUps Trucks then go to Icon For example New *Icon Thriftmaster* or Derelct! Old New Ford Coupe 30's Made by *Factory Five*
+Aki Ami Masen thanks man, but I relized its not for me to justify because insurance would be too high for a couple reasons, so ima have to get a ranger or something which is fine because it will be able to haul my bike and my kayack hah
10:40 I get the feeling that she might not mind, too much. You might even get a smile out of her. (as long as you didn't break anything!) Besides,I bet she's done a burnout or two in her day! :)
Beautiful Paint Job. Good Clip. As the Years have gone on I've since started to favor the Street Rods & 40's era cars.rather than the 60's & 70 muscle cars. So much more of an attractive car.
Smiles per mile ? Infinite ! Thank you all for the eleven minute grin ! : ) Huge respect to Carol and admiration to Mike for showing his respect for her for not jumping on it. It wasn't needed because the car and it's family couldn't get any cooler.
This may be the best story you guys have ever done. That little woman is awesome!
+n7hevn Yep ain't that the truth ;-)
Car enthusiasts come in all shapes and sizes.
and ages
One of my favorite Big Muscles. @8:31 I wanted to hug this lady, lol. Awesome 40' Ford!
+Groovy hippie (Groovie Hippie) Me too, I want her to be my Grandma
Carol is a true artist. Her choice of paint and other design modifications show that. I need to find me a girl that is so excited about cars that she taught herself to hot wire, right?
You are right stingray. She was so active and very involved in every aspect of the build process. I mean REALLY active. She made ever decision.
The worst thing she could say is, "Mike, I am disappointed." lol Beautiful car, great video!
My mom drives a 2010 Camaro RS with a 304 HP V6 and seeing a mother driving a hot rod is cool enough but a grandma driving a hot rod is even more awesome.
I enjoy watching your videos. Kool ride and I love the paint job. Very Nice!!👍
Now you just need to find the little old lady from Pasadena with a super stock Dodge. lol! One of the best episodes yet.
9:55 best final sentence i've heard in a long time!
+Yannick Bislin Agreed! I don't care if it looks like crap, got rust, and the paint is flaking off. I still love my car.

Great paint
+Bob Johnson It's beautiful.
Thank you. As nice as it is in the video it really does not capture how beautiful it us in person. It is the prettiest paint job i have ever done.
+Mister mood totally depends on how much bodywork it needs in preparation for paint. If you email me at chris@westcoastautocraft.com i can give you sone scenarios.

The paint job fits that car very well.
Oh my God, that paint is beautiful!
Thank you Alex. It is the prettiest paint job i have ever done.
I love the body shape of the car and the paint job is one of the best I've seen. I think she could make a lot of money designing cars.
I agree 100% Mike, drive to drive. Enjoy the experience, it's not about how much $ you can dump into a vehicle. It's more about seeing how little you can spend still making it a reflection of you. Enjoy the build as much as the drive.
