Mike's whole sense of humor revolves around mundanity. You'd think Scott would get that by now. Even when Mike plays John Lennon a lot of his stories are purposefully boring. And he loves to shoot down "yes and" setups.
Also, I've noticed from many other pods that Scott has an extremely short attention span and has zero patience for digressions in stories. So I don't think his annoyance is just something he's playing up for laughs.

What makes this even fucking funnier than it already is, is the fact that literally no one in the audience or ON STAGE got the joke that Calvin's "allergies" is actually him being allergic to hay which is his entire career...
Most improv comedians follow the rule of "yes and." Mike Hanford's whole sense of humor is based around refusing to do that.
This is one of the greatest things I've ever heard from cbb
One of my faves of all time.
"...I don't have the hay *with* me."
I love that Scott hated this character so much and Mike decided to just play again...in the same tour.

1:37 Was that a subtle Peter, Paul, and Mary reference? "If you haven't got a ha'penny then God bless you"
I love when PFT throws out the obscure reference that no one picks up on

This is my favorite example of “Anti-humor” being such bullshit. Funny is funny. Love this.
How does the idea that "funny is funny" prove that anti-humor is bullshit?
I was involved!
That was funny.
Calvin Redding or John Lennon?
well you know you can come back any time you like
