gran turismo is also a good game to learn how to drive a car cause of the driving schools it has you take to unlock new races that show's you how to turn a brake properly so you wont spin out and even though its a little easier that DIRT cause you get a mini map instead of some guy talking in you ear.

This is how I drive in Dirt Rally, in my imagination. Actually, no, I couldn't even imagine driving like this.
I deleted this game 2 days after installing it was so hard to maneuver the car, it just wouldn't stop sliding and slipping out of control.
Kudos to her, that was a very impressive run!

well i mean you dont have to be scared you can just go as fast as possible not being scared because if you keep going fast then you will lose your fear of crashing and you can become good. That's how i drive anyways and it works for me but idk if it will work for you

Although I love to watch many kind of motor sports, this probably proofs to me that rally is the best spectator sport. Definitely when seen in first person view, like your videos. It’s mind boggling, insane, scary and epic, all combined!

I watched this video before I started playing the game. I was pretty impressed but now that I’ve played the game I watched most of this video in shock.

I'm 23 years old and I was never into cars or racing, but I was recently introduced to rallying by my girlfriend who got me a full day at silverstone rally school. I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie so I like to try these things and move on from them to do something new, but I genuinely fell in love with this sport after that.
Unfortunately I'm buying a bungalow for myself as my first house and I'm probably going to be broke for the next few years unless I can get a better job. But when I do, I can guarantee that a lot of my money is going to get invested in starting my rallying hobby/career.
Watching you race in real life and watching your videos on this game, I can certainly see that spending a few grand on this equipment is well worth it. So I suppose I'll be putting money towards a good cockpit in the future too.
I guess what I'm saying is thanks for fueling a passion in me for this sport. And also I kind of hate you for ensuring that I'm going to spend the rest of my life penniless because of how expensive this sport is to get into.
bakersmileyface same man! I just got I to it on dirt rally 2.0 a year ago. Hopefully gonna buy my first hot hatch as a daily and then buy a Subaru to start rallying! I’m 21. You can do it!! Follow your dreams. Plus I live in the USA so rallying is not popular. Most people say what is rallying around here. Good luck!
You can pick up a decent rally car with a spares package to boot for well under 5 grand.

I recently finished paying for my other car and I've got this mortgage to worry about. I don't think I'm going to be saving enough to get a second car, even a cheap one. I'm simply not getting paid enough. 21,750 a year pops me down to 17,500 after tax. The house is my priority right now because house prices go up over time and car prices go down.
But I appreciate the call out. If I manage to save enough, I'll go for it.

I love this stage so much, it’s a great combination of high speed thrills and back-to-back hairpins. And that was certainly a masterclass in how to drive it!

I'e been trying WRC 8 and 9 and they feel so much less arcadey than the previous WRC titles.
DiRT series may have advantage in gravel due to the mud deformation engine, but WRC feels so true on tarmac. WRC 8 was when the proper tyre model feels like a real car on tarmac.

It's fun, but it'll test your courage. You can't hesitate, you have to just go, hard.
Just got my G29 setup, and I've been terminally smashing into everything for a solid week. Now, I'm not afraid to hit the gas while sliding, and I respect that pedal; not every corner needs to be flat out.
Hands down the most intense gaming experience, especially with VR.

I started playing this game on wheel after playing 150 hours ish on pad and its soooo nails, How do you make it look like a breath of fresh air. My senses are OVERLOADING. Also watched alot of your real rally videos your amazing

Genuine question : could you gain time by switching gears later so as to be in higher rpms?
It depends on the car. Most modern rally cars are power limited but there’s nothing to stop them making tonnes of torque through the midrange, so generally by redline it’s too late and all the torque is gone. For that reason you often want to shift early in cars like that.
For example, in my real car I make 316bhp, but 400lbft of torque. It revs to 7000rpm, but after first and second gear you actually want to shift at 5500rpm.

This so brings back memories of playing Gran Turismo 2 back in the day. I'm sure the way the game handled verses this one had many differences, but I absolutely loved it. Driving the Opel Tigra was the absolute best.

Tend to prefer Combat flight simulators but man you rally drivers are another beast 😀. Air is predictable terrain is not. At least for me apparently
