Just a small update: Do not convert too much money in India. Just take some 400-600 Ringgits for 2 person and then carry the rest in Indian Rupees. You will get better exchange rate in local forex in Malaysia.
i will pin it so other people can benefit. :)
@@khushboo.vasudeva Update: Came back today even 400 is too much. I used Thomas cook in India and 1 MYR cost me 19.1, in KL local it was 18.18INR per MYR. You also get good conversion rates if you directly swipe your credit/debit card. Just check the conversion charges from bank website before leaving. I took 400 MYR and 20K INR with me. When I returned I had 17K left in cash. Used my cards in most places. Even if you take 100 MYR from India its enough, the rest you can convert from KL. You only need MYR for street vendors who don't have POS machine.
Where can we find those exchanges

Hi bruh,
I’m travelling to Malaysia tomorrow and trying to fill the arrival form today. It’s asking for departure date and last port of embarkation before Malaysia in the form so I’m bit confused here, which date should we put here ? I mean date of departure from india to Malaysia or return date from Malaysia to India?

Hi will my jio mobile network work there with international roaming or i have to buy a sim there? Whats better? I will be visiting langkavi and kuala next week
hi, you check the charges of your jio international roaming and compare with the charges I mentioned of buying a SIM.
and then compare if your work happens on phone calls only then international roaming is better even if its costing you 200 extra.
So, totally you have to decide what to go for.
I took the local SIM, as my calls were happening on WhatsApp so I just needed internet.
Also, you will rarely be calling anybody in Malaysia, but you will require the SIM for booking taxis on GRAB.
Is bank statement mandatory to show at immigration?
thank you for the details..did you booked the hotels for all 7 days in advanced for different places or just did for kuala lumpur only and then booked hotels for rest of days later?..
hey.. back then I had to apply for an E-visa with all documents uploaded so I did not have the option of booking on the go. Stays were booked in advance.
But if you don't want to book all, book with 100% cancellation before a certain date (which is 2 days in advance you can cancel with 100% money back). In this case you only book kuala lumpur as your 1st 2-3 days will be there only. And rest you can cancel and book on the go or as you like.
Hope this helps.
thanks for the video..may i know how to leave the luggage at kuala lumpur itself?
hey.. wherever you stay in Kuala Lumpur, just ask them on 1st day itself 'if we leave our luggage here, would that be fine'. (Nobody says no as they have a store room for sure, but even if they say no - ask them for an alternate way)
Thx ❤
Thank you Khushboo ji about Malaysia information next week I will be in Malaysia 😊

Great video Khushboo! What would be the best time to visit Malaysia specially West Malaysia? We are thinking to go in August
it will be hot in august, if that is bearable for you, you can consider visiting.
I visited in July and it was hot and humid but since in the afternoons you can be indoors in Kuala Lumpur visiting malls or tall towers so it becomes bearable.

Glad to hear that! Thank you 😁🙌🏼
Nice blog. Will July be unbearably hot? Will there be rain?
I went in July beginning only. It was hot but not like you will die. You can keep yourself hydrated and make the most of the morning and evenings as the afternoons are only hot.
Mane aur Asia flight book ki Jaipur to kuala lumpur but usne only cabin bag 7 kg show Ker Raha hai chek in bag allowed nhi hai kya
nhi. cheap flights mein sirf cabin baggage included hota hai. checkin baggage alag se lena hoga which might cost a lot in air asia. better deals dekho ek baar skyscanner pe and other websites pe.
Nice explanation. For a family of 3 (3 year old kid included), how much do you think would be the cost estimate excluding flight and hotel charges ? We have planned a 5 day trip to KL and nearby.
Same! Just leaving a comment to know when the reply comes.. 😁
See, it depends on your plan. But if you are taking outstation taxis then I don't know how much it will cost. If you are travelling in a mid-budget range,
food - 10,000-12,000
GRAB taxi (within city travel ) - INR 3000-4000
Intercity transport - INR 5000
SIM - INR 500
Travel insurance - 500*3 = 1500
Activities/Tickets - INR 10,000
total - INR 30,000 (these are some rough ideas, as I don't know your style of travelling. there is scope of saving on the above on food and taxis.)
Hope this helps. Consider subscribing to the channel 😊

If i enable international roaming for Airtel.... Will that not work in langkawi and KL?
Or is it compulsory to take a sim card there?
No, you can ask customer service if they support that country networks and enable international roaming.
I just bought the local sim because I feel that is more convenient and in budget for me.
Humm 190 days ki itinerary play kar rahe he, tum help kar sakte he
Hello, do I need an international driving licence to be eligible for renting a 2 wheeler there in Malaysia (even in Langkawi)?
Or my Indian licence will be accepted?
To be honest they don’t care about the license. I rented it from my stay in Langkawi, so they did not ask for anything as a proof. If you rent it from a shop (like i did it in penang), they will ask for a deposit and i think they took a photocopy of indian license because that guy was from India (btw we gave him indian rupees as deposit 😅)
If we book flights n accomodation from make my trip , will it be ok or should we book with travel agent? I want to travel in june
booking through makemytrip (travel agency) or travel agent both works. Whatever meets your requirement.
OR you can self plan the trip.
OR you can get a customised trip planned for yourself here - www.getsetyo.club/d/195381
Just wanted to know if you are going in a family or group of two three then also is it necessary for each one to have a certain amount of money in their bank account ? Or just one person can have it?
hey if individuals then everyone should have it (cash/credit)
in family, one can have it.
Hi frm 🇲🇾. Actually u could have covered the East Malaysia (Borneo) part which is more adventurous and naturally beautiful.

Can Grab app be downloaded in international roaming sim or is it necessary to buy local sim
Yes it can be downloaded and used as you can call/text the driver on the app itself so you just need internet.
Hi ma'am, I'm planning to travel malaysia this month for 4 days with my wife. So the trip clubbed with one travel agency. So flight, hotel bookinga and transport( to and fro airport & site seeing) is included in the package. So my query is how much indian money converted to ringgit we have to keep with us for the rest of the expenses over there.?
So what i think is that you will be spending on food and shopping.
Local food and shopping will require cash.
But if you will be eating in small restaurants then they will accept cards like little india I mentioned (in KL)
So, having a zero forex card would help save money as other cards charge 3.5-5% markup fees.
And rest having 10k converted into ringitts would be enough for food and shopping.
Just a suggestion if you are dicey on how much you will be spending take USD notes from India.
Keep converting them as and when required.
Hi 👋, where can we leave our luggage in Kuala Lumpur, apart from maintaining the hotel room?
Hey i don’t know any luggage storage place.
But if it is about safety, then i would say take the valuables with you or carry least possible valuable things on the trip.
To be honest everything will be safe only. Carry a lock and just lock the luggage and give the hotel person to keep.
Next stop Korea or turkey??
Nice info yr. We dont need google. Everything on would need for a trip to Malaysia..!! ❤
Turkey seems like a good idea 🫶🏼

Hi really helpful. Can u pls help me in process to travel malaysia through thailand. And back to thailand again. PLS
hey I travelled from India-thailand-malaysia-india.
Take a flight from Thailand to Malaysia. (depends on your passport, if you have an Indian passport then you will get a free visa for Malaysia otherwise you should apply for a VISA (i am not sure which visa process for other country passport holders). And getting back to Thailand you can either apply for a multiple-visit visa or you can check with some agency which can help you with information. check VFS global once for VISA process.
Perfect Itinerary great work
Thanks a lot, Aditya! 😀

MDAC form is important, apply it according to when you are travelling. (consider MDAC form as your VISA application)
uske alawa apko kuch nhi karna. (no form, no photo, no fees, just the documents required needed.)

Mam for budget trip who will keep bank statement r60k to 1lakh, is it necessary to take bank statement to show in immigration??
No body mentioned about bank statement,,
And we can't keep such amt in bank,, a budget traveler,,,
Pls clarify it
Hey keep a credit card and atleast 200 usd you will require to get through the trip for food, transportation, activities etc. Rest your accommodation and flights which is the major expense would be covered anyway.
They did not mention the amount anywhere they just mentioned enough to get you through your trip.
So, if they question, you can say that this is my plan and way of travelling and it would not cost much this way. And I can use my card at most of the places so this much cash is enough for me to get through my trip.
How did you commute to Malacca and penang?
from kuala lumpur take a bus to Malacca (TBS station as mentioned in the video also)
Penang also you will get a bus from Kuala Lumpur - the main station is TBS only but still, but still check once for Penang which will be the station on redbus.my or 12goasia
Thanks Khushboo...really helpful...I have a couple of questions:
1. Which forex card did you use? Most cards don't seem to have MYR loading
2. Is there a google pay equivalent app , instead of carrying cash?
3. Do we need local sim for using grab? Will international roaming with Indian SIM work?
1. I actually lost my niyo global in thailand and malaysia was a continued trip so i did not use any. I had one card on which I paid 1% charges on every transaction.
But you can go for bookmyforex or niyo global.
2. I have mentioned in the end points that you can pay online through grab app as well so it is equivalent to gpay.
3. You can download grab app and check if you can signup with an indian number or not and then decide whether to go for a local sim or international roaming.
Hope this helps 😊

Hi, we are 3members traveling to Malaysia how much do we need to convert and were we can convert..
you can convert at the forex exchangers near you (call and ask at 3 places before you exchange)
for reference check the rates on bookmyforex, ya fir unhi se lelo usd ya myr. Or I would suggest take 5000 INR converted into MYR and rest USD so that you can get USD converted from the city to MYR.
if you are doing most of the transactions through card, then I think INR 20000 are enough for 3 people.
I had 10000 and we were 2 people for 8-9 days. Mostly done everything online.
You only need cash for street food and street shopping. And sometimes for buses if you are booking it from bus station.
Niyog global card chalega aur dollars leja sakte cash ma
Yes. Both works. Try to use the forex card as much as possible as there is no 3% fees anywhere in Malaysia. Save cash for the local stuff like shopping or eating at a night market.
And if you take a cab from airport then you can feed your card details and skip paying by cash.
Hope this helps 👍
Thank you for the information Khushboo, very helpful. I am an Indian national and want to ask if there are any charges for this arrival card as my travel agent is asking for rupees 499 per person for processing this. I am planning a trip to Singapore in April and am clubbing it with 3 days in Malaysia. So my itinerary will be India-Singapore-Malaysia-India.
hey.. there are no charges, no fees for the VISA as it is free. 499 must be the agent charge to do the work on your behalf.

2) how can you live stream as a traveller, is the local sim internet enough to live stream to youtube or twitch
3) From which Camera can you live stream directly to youtube ,
4) Also do you have to book all hotels in advance for all the days you plan to stay there

Hi, thank youuu 🙌🏼
To answer your questions -
1. I shoot with my iphone 13. And if underwater content is shot on gopro. (the thing with vlogging is that phone is more easily available than a camera. Although gopro is great for vlogging as I bought it for that purpose only... just convenient is phone).
Talking about mics, there are a lot of them available online ... but since I did some research recently for budget mics, you can check these -
amzn.to/3Xx6MSe
amzn.to/45sZ8dH
2. I dont know about live stream but thailand and vietnam you can do live streaming as they give enough data per day. Malaysia data packages are very limited.
3. any camera you can do.
4. I think yes. For vietnam, not required as you get the e-visa. For thailand and malaysia it is visa on arrival so totally depends on your immigration officer if they will ask or not. But online it says necessary.
Ty for the Reply Khushboo , appreciated.

Hello ma'am, i have planned to visit Malaysia for 4 days with my wife. I have already booked flight and hotel. Can you please suggest me how much i should carry ringgit for 2 person for 4 days ???? Please suggest me the range.
If you are carrying a forex card then 10-20k in cash is very good enough since you are travelling for 4 days. Even 10k would be enough as mostly everywhere you can pay by card and no extra fees is taken by any shop.
Have you visited and came back?

So Malaysia visa is not required for Indians right ???
Only return flight tickets, hotel booking n the MDAC form is required right ??
hey visa-free hai that means you DON'T have to PAY ANY anything. bas documents dekha doge jo b immigration pe maangenge (out of the documents I have mentioned sab bhi maang sakte hai ya 1-2 bhi maang sakte hai depending on the immigration officer). Fir wo aapke passport pe stamp laga denge which means apko visa mil gaya to enter the country.

Bank statement compulsory h??
According to the official website, yes, it is mandatory to have a bank statement, cash, or debit/credit card. This is to assure them that your trip expenses can be taken care of with the available funds.
A mix of debit card/credit card/cash would also do if you can't take bank statement. Take atleast 200-300 USD or equivalent malaysian ringgits. And debit/credit card too. (what I checked with the executive at the Malaysian visa website... it said that we don't have a fixed amount but it should be enough to take you through your Malaysia trip.)
Is there any showmoney needed ?
what's showmoney exactly?
Can i cover Kuala Lumpur with Singapore...in 5days tour.
I think yes you can.
Malasia visaa free h fr ap visaa documents k bare mai kyu btare???
visa free means ki apko paise nhi dene. But documents toh show karne padhenge jo bhi immigration officer apse maange (jo meine list di hai usme se).
MDAC form toh compulsory hai.
Few Questions:-
1. Sufficient funds means How much amount would be minimal?
2. I have a layover of 36 hours which places should I travel to in Kualalumpur?
Waiting for your reply on this , Thanks for the video!
1. Amount is not mentioned anywhere, on checking through executive on e-visa official website they said - sufficient amount to get through the trip.
2. Totally depends on your interest. You can go to mall and explore gadgets, or chinatown for shopping or bukit bintang for nightlife or batu caves just for experience or visit the tallest buildings.
you can also visit malacca like a one day trip (subah jao / shaam ko ya raat ko wapis. 2hrs way from Kuala Lumpur)
You can check these vlogs for more details -

What I saw in other videos they are not checking the bank statement or cash. But since it is a required document, you should either keep the statement or atleast INR30-40k cash with you (converted in USD or ringgits.)
Hey Kushboo, when you landed at Malaysia where you asked for the bank statement?
I am traveling this 18th to Malaysia so I appreciate the response. Thanks and a great playlist of Malaysia!
hey... I travelled back in 2023 so I had got E-VISA. So, about bank statement I won't be able to answer.
A mix of debit card/credit card/cash would also do. Take atleast 200-300 USD or equivalent ringgits. And credit card too. @@vinodkumar-v28
Basically, what I checked with the executive at the Malaysian visa website... it said that we don't have a fixed amount but it should be enough to take you through your Malaysia trip.
@@khushboo.vasudeva Appreciate the revert!
@@khushboo.vasudeva Hi and to all the folks planning a Malaysian trip now here is an update.
I landed in KUL on 19th Feb and during the immigration all I was asked was MDAC (Malaysian digital arrival card) and reason for entering. Apart from that I was asked nothing and my passport was stamped for Malaysian arrival.
One more thing for people planning to get or have International roaming to their Indian sim can easily access grab here after adding your passport number and card details through which you can load money to the grab wallet and roam around.
Don't forget your sunscreen, you will need it trust me 🎋
Just relax and have a great trip to Malaysia! PO:)

Mam I'm thinking to take 6/7k₹ cash, nothing else. Coz flights, hotels i will book from india. I'm going KL for 4 days. So i can manage to eat one meal a day. And I'll rent a scooty there (600/700₹) and petrol is cheaper there (35₹/litre). So, can you please tell me that if immigration officers will be agreed with this plan or not.
Total cash I'm going to take is 7k₹..
Hey I am not sure. If you are willing to take the risk, go ahead. Just consider taking a debit/credit card along so you can tell them rest you will withdraw or pay by card.
@@khushboo.vasudeva ok mam.,, should I kept 20k in card for emergency.? Will it be ok for a solo traveller. I'm alone only.
@@khushboo.vasudeva and mam one last thing, can you please type the full location from where you got the sim card. As there are many seven eleven. If you can text yours one , it will be easier to me.
@@richKIDS69 that would be great. Check the rules whether indian license would work or not or otherwise book your stay near the attractions so that everything is at a walkable distance. For Batu caves, you can use bus. And public transportation is great in KL, you just need a card which you will get at the metro station.
@@richKIDS69 I don't remember the shop to be very honest, you can ask 1-2 shops, they have multiple SIMs and understand which one best suits your needs and just buy... not to think much. Indian insaan ho toh ussi se puch lo aap kaunsa recommend karoge.
