As a newer shooter I appreciate these videos on how to zero your pistol/rifle optics, especially quickly and efficiently, can't wait to get a Sentinel 2 in green for my CR920XP 🔥
The "faster" way to zero your scope is to hold aim at the center bullseye, then without moving rifle, adjust the crosshairs so they're aiming at the points of impact in the upper left. Then shoot another two rounds and repeat. Or, since you have MIL graph paper, count the elevation and windage mils between the points of impact and the center bullseye and adjust the turrets accordingly.
8:20 Slowing the playback speed to 25%, you can see multiple dust clouds from the "full auto" impacts hitting the berm behind the target. Your setup in pretty rock solid, so it is possible they just went through the holes of the first two (semi-auto) rounds. Removing the paper target and looking at the backing material may have shown additional impacts.
great insight. we also compared some of the footage of the target before we shot and after, and did confirm that we found some extra 5.56 size holes above the paper. Confusing at first for sure!
Please post a follow up video on what was mechanically wrong with the trigger (assuming that was the component) that caused the full auto burst. Also, what trigger was installed in that AR. Of course, just for educational purposes.
We can do a video in the future, but check out our blog comparing the two in the meantime! www.swampfoxoptics.com/lpvo-comparison-arrowhead-vs-tomahawk-ii
Off topic, I saw Swampfox is partnering with Taurus. Ugh 😮, terrible move to me. They’re just a level above Hi Point and Kel Tec. Please don’t “partner” with a gun company with spotty quality. I think S&W, Cva, and maybe even Thompson Center who are getting back on their feet would be good.
3:37 Why don't you wrap your finger around that trigger a little more!!! LOL. No wonder you can't shoot! You should rename your video "The Slowest Way to Zero Your Rifle! You know you can go right/left and up/down at the SAME time right???
I found that my geissele SD-3G will do this if you press the trigger very slowly. Its only done it when I was zeroing optics and pressing very slowly rearward. From what ive read and experienced it does seem that its an unintentional bump fire of the gun because you are pulling so slowly on a light trigger that the recoil is enough to reset it because the trigger is basically floating right on the edge of the sear and will bump 2-3 shots. its probably occured 4 times in 5-6 years and never happens when firing normally.
Was not expecting that at all. So "Fastest" way of zeroing your rifle literally means to shoot faster. Got it SwampFox team.
lol if only it were true
Swampfox is definitely my go to optics I’m a green dot fan and you guys have the crispiest green dot on the market that I’ve experienced

You got it my dude! Glad to know it is helping.

That's a great method!
THIS is the way. I've zeroed rifles with 3 rounds with this method.

That was wild! Never had that happen to me thankfully.
what trigger set up / brand / type / model were u using?
no lol
Can we get a comparison of the arrowhead and tomahawk lpvos? I'm on the fence and I don't know which route to go. Thanks!

Did you trigger pin walk out? This happened to me because my trigger pin walked out.
nothing walked that we can tell! 🤔
@@SwampfoxOptics Well that is interesting.
Had my AR10 burst like that because it was under sprung and had a Triggertech diamond trigger. I checked the buffertube and noticed it was cracked.
interesting. will have to check that
You forgot to swap out the fun lower
oopsies
Send it to me “ I’ll fix it “ promise 😂

That gun isn't safe like that.
Safety third

He is going to research what happened........... by research he means turn off the camera and put in another magazine!
lol can neither conform nor deny

He'd be real offended if he could read
@@SwampfoxOptics That makes no sense their cupcake! Try again! I know I would be offended if I was an IDIOT like YOU! LOL.

Interesting. Super helpful actually, thank you!
