It seems no one in the reply section plays Akuma He did heavy demon flip,and waiting till the jump arc was at the peak before holding downward to cancel it,and grabbed right when the Ed player was teching, which lead to the weird teleporting looking animation Even Akuma's in platinum do this how did y'all never see this 😂
9:53 I actually have an optimization for angrybird here! Though I only know about it because of Broski. When you get a stun on a low health opponent and lots of stuff will kill you should always kill with command grab if you have one because it is the option that builds the most meter (assuming you don’t have max, which he didn’t in this case). If you don’t have one, regular throw is second best. Ken obviously doesn’t have a command grab and Akuma’s command grab is not that good, so it makes sense that he wouldn’t know yet or forget about it. I don’t know if regular throw would kill here so it makes sense that he didn’t go for that.
Are you just not a big fan of Ed or not a big fan of Endingwalker? I personally think his Ed is the best even though he’s ranked 2nd Ed I think right now way behind Fuudo. I’m glad to see him using the character again honestly, though I don’t think that Ed does super well against characters like Ryu, Akuma, or Cammy.
Endingwalker probably isn't playing Ed in tournaments. He's probably going to stick to Ryu, but he obviously still really likes playing Ed. Ed just doesn't have the tools to handle a lot of the system mechanics, especially post-patch. The Alpha Counter alone hurt a lot of what Ed does best.
Eh. No character is truly bad, but he's in the bottom half. Still playable mind you, but he lacks a lot of tools that a ton of other characters have. They'll likely buff him up a little in a year or so.
He was a solid mid before the last patch. But now that every character that was below him got seriously buffed, he dropped to low tier. He is still playable like every character in this beautiful game. There is not so much gap betweens tiers.
Akuma's L1 and even L2 are more useful throughout the entire match. L1 is a good quick punish or combo ender. L2 is a stronger combo ender than L1. L1 + L2 can be used in one long combo in the corner. Both L1 and L2 have MCUH easier setups than RAging Demon. Remember that Raging Demon is a command throw. This means it cannot be used in an actual combo (oppenent in hit or block stun). Oppenent must be in neutral or non-block stun. It has an extremely short range. Akuma basically needs to be touching the opponent. Akuma does travel forward at startup but if an opponent sees it coming from a distance, it can be dodged via jump. Since it is a CA, it is not available until you have less than 25% health (yellow bar, which is very risky). So most top Akuma's will rather use L1 or L2 or L1+L2 when the opportunity presents itself rather than wait for Raging Demon.

That ed default from sf5 wasn’t really finalized in the character’s first playable appearance because they didn’t add him the cape

Took Ending a minute to get the right spacing and change his game plan. Ending was no match inside to Akumas mix ups.

raging demon can also be counter CA by some;zangief and lily for example can still input their CA on akuma CA screenflash.
The simple answer is that he can only use it at low health.
