What CANT we miss when we drive our little (actually probably huge) campervan up the east coast?

Whitsunday Islands, and Cape Tribulation if you make it up that far.

Welcome to Australia :) You can check out Echo Beach on Tallebudgera Creek which is located in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast. Just went there yesterday and man it was beautiful ✌And of course, stop over in Brisbane, go for a city stroll and eat at Pochana Thai restaurant for these cravings 🤣

Fraser Island. Lake McKenzie. Drive along the beach. Top it off with Bundy Rum. Maybe a night cruise along the Brisbane River.

Northern rivers nsw is beautiful 😍.
I lived in Iluka where there's magical beaches and the national park for camping.
In the far south of nsw check out Tathra and surrounding areas a favourite camping spot is Aragunnu campground.
      Going north there's many places...
Northern nsw Mullumbimby is a cool town nearby Brunswick Heads is awesome and before you leave nsw make sure to climb Mount Warning for an epic day; actually every time I return to Australia via Brisbane it's the first thing I do.
Further north town of 1770 is one of many favourite spots.
Yes way up north Cape Tribulation is amazing Daintree national Park is incredible.
Depending how long you plan to travel the East Coast is very big!!!

Don’t know if they still do this, but “Reef Teach” in Cairns was pretty cool! They teach you about the fish and other living organisms in the Great Barrier Reef, and it’s pretty cool to see how it all connects when you’re diving/snorkeling in the GBR the next day! Atherton Tablelands for some rainforest walks. Just be careful of all the critters.
As for food, check out Koi in Sydney. Reynold from Master Chef Australia opened up that dessert bar, and they look amazing!
If you’re able to, get to some dark-sky country, and just look up. It’s still one of the most memorable things I’ve seen in my life, and I know there’s no way I could ever recreate that feeling.

Welcome to Sydney Josh and Lisa and enjoy your stay here . Firstly apologies for the awful weather. This rain has been around all of three or four days and prior to that the weather was sensational. Let's hope for beach weather by the weekend :) Due to the last two years and people being requested to work from home you will find life around the Sydney Central Business District and the nearby Rocks area strangely quiet. It never used to be that way and hopefully will recover in time. If you are looking for a really good 'dog's eye' Aussie for meat pie then make your way down to Wooloomooloo Bay and the famous Harry's Cafe de Wheels. Excellent food there especially after a few pints at the local pub. Short of that you will see petrol stations around that advertise and sell Pie Face pies of all different varieties and I can safely say they are miles better than those 7 11 pies for around the same price. I have subscribed and look forward to being part of your travels. Cheers :)

hi Steven! no need for the apologies :) we sure hope we didn't bring the rain! hopefully it'll start looking up for everyone!! thank you for the recommendations!! we stopped by Harry's Cafe de Wheels in Newcastle (made us forgot all about those 7 11 pies! hah) but now we want to check out the one in Wooloomooloo Bay!! thanks for watching and subscribing!!! cheers :)

Hi Guys and welcome to Sydney!!
You seriously have to visit the Blue Mountains for gorgeous scenery and hiking. Katoomba, Blackheath and Megalong Valley to name a few spots. Spend a little time at the Nepean River Penrith on your way up to the Blue Mountains; about a cruisey 45 min drive. Now if you head south to Victoria, a MUST scenic drive is the Great Ocean Road taking you to the 12 Apostles and Port Campbell. Geelong is another beautiful city you will love at this time of year, and has much to see and do. Its around 45 minutes drive south of Melbourne. If you would like more suggestions let me know. G'day and enjoy my beautiful country

Welcome to Australia! Just in time for this monsoon weather 😅 A few travel tips - don't head up to the great barrier reef (if you were planning to), Airlie Beach until after April if you can. It's the wettest time of the year in March and still cyclone season. Tasmania is incredible and we love it so much. If you want wildlife, nature, just amazing scenery then Tasmania should be on your must visit list. It is also one of the cheapest areas to travel to. Noosa and the Sunshine Coast are the best beaches (biased opinion from a Brisbane girl haha) and northern NSW - Kingscliff, Hastings Point. Australia is expensive! shop at Aldi !! Happy travels 😊

    Excellent, informative and about time!
I live in Thailand but have not been able to easily visit home for 2 years and it's such a relief to see how easily you as a foreigner were able to go.
Okay not supper easily but definitely doable.
Curious what ThaiAirways charged for your flight?
I'm still hesitant to travel because the doors only just opened and I don't want to get stuck. As well as the hoops I'll have to get through returning to Thailand 🇹🇭.
For now I'll wait until it's not necessary to get tested and any quarantine.
Actually surprised how easy it was for you to enter Australia 🇦🇺
Enjoy your journey on the east coast.

requirements might change, but we had to fill out forms, get pre-departure testing, and also do a rapid test upon arrival. would encourage you check out this site: www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/factsheets/Pages/arrivals-guidelines.aspx

Hay guys, did anyone at the airport offer you a jar of Vegemite. Chris from Sydney, Australia.

hi Chris!! we didn't get any when we arrived, but we saw on the news that they were handing out jars of Vegemite and Tim Tams! we think probably for just the earlier flights, as we got in late in the evening. but we picked up our own jar to try soon :)

@Lisa and Josh Just a tip about the use of the Vegemite. When you spread some on your toast, start with thin spreads on the toast. Vegemite is a very special taste. A little bit goes a long way. Chris from Sydney, Australia.

hi Judy! Thank you for the sweet offer and following us on journey! we had a quick pit stop in Newcastle to grab a pie, but sadly had to keep rolling to make it to our campground before they closed! wished we had more time to say hi!

@@LisaAndJosh shame I didn’t get my message to you earlier as you could have parked up at mine I’m walking distance to the beaches and harbour would have been free accom also we haven’t had a great deal of rain. Hoping the flooding up north doesn’t interfere with your trip too much. You’ve been travelling the world so I’m sure you’ll handle the rain 🌧🌹🇦🇺
