Hello, yes, we already have those kind of videos in the Cubase channel, you should check The Cubase Collective series, here is the link: ruclips.net/channel/UCcQBdibdDxH2ngu3kNPYOEAplaylists?shelf_id=10&sort=dd&view=50

I seen that series but they are not that informative, make a series with detailed walkthrough like ablet*n l*ve has on their channel, the series you mentioned is pretty vague.

    Hello, Steinberg...
Im on a desperate search of a remix contest you promoted some 15 years back.
Its name was "All 4 You", and it was based on a song from New Order.
Theres nothing on SoundCloud, very few on RUclips and nothing on KvR... Could you help me finding the winning entries? Would really appreciate.

Whilst the video gives examples of scenarios that need to be fulfilled and are, they do not show HOW he did what he did.
As a home recordist I would get value out off seeing/hearing how things are done.
He keeps saying "Wow what a fantastic sound from this plug-in". Do we get to hear it, no! Fail!
I subscribe to a magazine called Sound on Sound. They always have a section where they describe how a result was achieved and the tools and processes required to get there.
I use Cubase 9.5 Pro and it works the way I think most of the time and that takes the stress away, I just get on with the job.
    It's a great product.

it feels rather forced how every interviewee is made to say the engine is superior in all these videos, whilst it's clearly either the same like others, or else it would indeed be 'wrong', or not 1:1 true to the programme. i do love cubase, and i am sure less experienced potential customers may react to such marketing favourably, but it does leave everyone with a bit of experience feeling like it's a bit chutzpah to claim this.

'they wanna use live amps...I don' t have the time', got to be honest that made me cringe a bit as a guitarist, I love my hand wired custom made valve amps, I would not be happy about having to record with a DI or simulator when I've spent years developing my own unique sound. And by the way I am a longterm cubase and wavelab user.

It's important to understand the context of what he's saying. He's talking about production for things such as TV shows where efficiency is essential. That's not how he'd produce a soaring guitar solo on a rock album.

    • @bentyreman5769
      @bentyreman5769 6 лет назад

Per Abrahamsen so in TV they have no time, I get it, in many pro audio situations time is money as well, it just annoys me that people are shying away more and more as time goes on from analog amps, it seems to be a trend among so called producers...

    • @perprerp

@@bentyreman5769 I fell you. My guitar heroes are Gilmour, Knopfler, Hendrix, Prince etc and I try to be those guys when I mess with the guitar but I think electric guitar could become popular again with a new type of sound.

"Cubase is so easy to use". Well I find this bit of a overstatement compared to other DAWs. I have used Cubase myself my whole life, and I still use it. But out of habituation. I checked other DAWs as well over the years, and Cubase is one of the most overpriced ones. Many things in Cubase are inconvenient, long winded and just based on Codes from the 90's. Let's be honest.
