It could work if they stop treating it like an anime and give them normal hair and not some cosplay wigs. This anime is grounded and do not need exaggerated anime effects, it will just turn up cringe. Just make a realistic series about art college.
@@ArtSawce I think that's a reason why Alice in borderland was so great, (with the exception of chishiya's crusty wig) when I first watched it I didn't even know it was a live action anime, whereas in things like this or full metal alchemist or bleach etc I can definitely tell

Ok so they looked at the anime which speed ran content and said we adapt all of it in one movie. With that said the style the movie has is way better than what they did in the anime. Like the vibe i get from this is well, it is rushed the moments will hit hard. I just hope they give all the big onces to us. I'm excited to watch this some day when I can since blue period is my favorite series ever. Like it's OK if it's not a perfect adaption as long as the main moments, vibe and key thems are there we are all good.

I feel like people might take this as an attack on the actor-who I do not know, but is very attractive-but I feel like Yuka/Ryuji was distinctly miscast. I’ve only seen the anime, but due to the “classic anime trope” of “insanely beautiful boy with female voice actor”, this actor feels too distinctly “male” to seamlessly blend-in with society the way Yuka did? Can anyone explain this particular casting decision to me, other than “this actor is popular”? Again, I don’t know the actor, and they’re very attractive! I just don’t think they’re a perfect fit for Yuka.

I have never really been a fan of live action adaptations of anime series cuz most of them fall short but this one feels promising ... I can just tell it's gonna be real good .... Hahaha ...
