There's this odd instinct that dragging people to their feet somehow cures them. My brothers were bikers, and had Do Not Remove stickers on their helmets because well-meaning folk assisting crashed bikers would take off their helmets, causing further neck injuries, even paralysis.

@@MrStredders If so, that's a shame. Looked like a nurse shark to me, though, and I'm pretty sure they can breathe on their own (not requiring movement) so I was giving it the benefit of the doubt.
@@MrStredders Tonic immobility is when you touch their ampullae of lorenzini, that's a nurse shark which are the most nonaggressive sharks there are. Diver knew what he was doing.
One of the coolest things I've ever seen. The shark even looked like he was dancing right along with him 😆
The little girl on the flamingo happened in Greece. Apparently the child had been under the supervision of her parents while playing in the sea with her father. A sudden turn of the wind became the cause for the inflatable to slip out of his hands and be swept away by the currents of the area.
Immediately several people dived into the water to reach it, while attempts were made to reach it with another small boat, but these efforts proved futile and there was a risk that with one wrong move the little girl would be in the water, with a danger for her life.
So the parents alerted the coastguard and immediately two ferry boats started the rescue effort.
Thanks for the whole story. Bad things can happen. Glad that there are procedures for emergencies like this.

AFAIK they did survive, they were pulled in to a drain under a road and popped out the other side. It was a few years ago but I can't find any references
It was a blocked storm drain and yes, both the kid and his Uncle were fine. They appeared down stream just a few seconds later with bumps and bruises.

@@number1fen dude. That's not snow. That's molten snow, a light ice layer. He could have broken his back falling from that height. I'm a medic, I know it. His spinal, his neck, his ribs, many other options. If he comes back to consciousness he will feel unbearable pain. Especially from the way his Co workers picked him up.

The guy sprinting across the frozen lake and the guy waltzing with the shark was really cool. But the small child drifting out to sea was frightening. It was a miracle that the cruise liner was there. That cute little turtle is a snapper. It can take your fingers clean off. 😵😵😵

Happened in Greece a few years ago. Lucky the parents and a lot of other beach goers saw it happening but the strong tide and wind the time made it very difficult for anyone to catch upto the kid. They radioed one of the many ferries that supply the islands and it was deemed the best option for them to pick the child up. Apparently she was fine, probably didnt go swimming in the ocean for a while.

I've seen too many people in these kinds of videos who think animals are all sweet and cute.
One should touch turtles or tortoises in wild at all. They're stressed enough in urban environment and can easily die from stress if bothered.
That looks like a common snapper (as opposed to an Alligator snapper), with a bite force of about 50 psi. Lucky she didn't lose a finger.
@@Scavenger82 after a long period of rain, several of these guys came out in numbers at the campgrounds we were at.
One big one decided to park itself at the entrance of out tabin.
We had to call the staff as the thing looked anything but friendly 😜

It was a pipe, so they popped out the other side. They stopped the video on here, before showing the part where they got out. Still terrifying.
They were cleaning out a clogged drain pipe, when the blockage was removed the suction pressure pulled them in. Why a small child was right around the opening of the pipe is beyond me. As for what happen I have no clue, depending on length and width of pipe the small child could've just been pushed thru and spit out at the end alive(scared 5hitless but alive). The big guy tho..... that would take a pretty wide pipe, it's very possible he could've drown. Have you ever put your hand over a small drain in a swimming pool... you can feel the suction holding your hand, now times that force by a 1,000, someone getting sucked down against that pipe would be very hard to pull off even if they didn't get wedged inside the pipe itself.

Even if the shore line in the distance is not where she came from and there is a much closer beach behind the cameraman. if that ferry didn't catch her she would probably have died. once the kid gets tired and slips off the toy she would most likely drown. even if he its a giant white toy it might not be easy to find in open waters if you don't know where to look. they could have been looking for her on the beach for all we know if he they allready noticed she was gonne at all.
It happened in Greece (Corinthian Gulf), the child was drifted from the shore and the coast guard was called. The ferry found her and saved her. There are strong currents where she was found.
