I remember when I listened for the first time was totally awesome and intelligent. I think I was 18 years old, now I'm 35 and still sounds like "Oh shit, this is true electronic music"!!

Legendary and created not only a memorable imprint on my life, but also famously hard to find for a while. I always wondered why that was. Maybe copyright issues? Either way, this is in my top 10 all time favorite albums.
Skidoos is the track for me. Since 2007-8 when I've heard it for the 1st time, it has same effect every time i hear it. It is literally spiritual track.
Same! Unfortunately it’s the only one I’d heard from this album at the time… it’s stayed a favourite, and I’m now stunned by the album in its entirety… better late than never 😅
A grandiose sample artist and electronic music designer with so much funk in his style...great! Perfect for the floor and the brain....there is always something going on in his music...I love that!
Music is just a series of contrasting tones... Like colors on a canvas... Certain types of tones create certain types of moods/emotions... This is the purest form of that original concept... THIS is music
Personally, I imagine myself lost in a big cozy-looking yet cold/lonely house that smells like cheap detergent and perfume... Eventually finding the strange welcoming people that live there................ Hey, Is that... birthday cake?
"some cool parts"? go back to reviewing boring ass hip hop, anthony. you can't hang with the real heads if you can't/don't recognize this record for the fucking masterpiece that it truly is. super glad i unsubbed from yr snooze-fest of a channel.
lol people still expect one person to know every aspect of music they ever grasped yet put off other facettes as "soundcloud rap" or whatever. but i kinda get it, definitely not the internets MOST busiest music nerd
definitly the mirror through Bach revisited Goldberg when he felt a passage from composer to world climber class level...trancey highlights moves fed with supernatural breedings! My stuff and my etheral mood.
This horrendous custom CD RIP from an equally complete admirer of this work can assure you that this album is the Best Recording in the musical world. The way people say Luomo's 'Vocalcity' is the Best Album in the musical world. Long story
heard this album for the first time in an old car in the mountains, thought the CD player is jumping. I love it since then :)
I remember when I listened for the first time was totally awesome and intelligent. I think I was 18 years old, now I'm 35 and still sounds like "Oh shit, this is true electronic music"!!
i feel exactly the same!!
same here !!! haha
Sama here again, ı am 37 years old and still it sounds like a music album, not electronic
@@gorkemgurdogan You're implying music and electronic are somehow unrelated. 🙄
Same here!!

deck the house is such an amazing track.
Akufen made my mind with this work in 2002! Thx

このアルバムいつ聴いてもホント最高
First five seconds and my jaw already dropped to the floor. It instantly took me back 17 years to my happy place. (L)

when released, the opening tune on this album was one of my favs, and is still today
i used to hate the slower, etherical ones when i was a kid, now i favour them to the jacky club tunes
Absolute ripper and classic. Still gets me.
This album brings me many memories. Lazy Sundays listening to this (and Metamatics, Bent, Aphex Twin and many others)
lo escuchabamos en fiestas en Bolivia alla por el 2002
Thank you for posting. It took me back to 2009 when I was constantly listening to this album ❤
Music is just a series of contrasting tones... Like colors on a canvas... Certain types of tones create certain types of moods/emotions...
This is the purest form of that original concept... THIS is music
Leaving a vastly open space for interpretation, which is ultimately the goal of art
It pays no attention to previously existing music, which is something I always love
I mean, just look at 12 tonal music
Personally, I imagine myself lost in a big cozy-looking yet cold/lonely house that smells like cheap detergent and perfume... Eventually finding the strange welcoming people that live there................ Hey, Is that... birthday cake?
Tokyo daylight...
some cool parts on this thing.
Got any vids on electronic music? I like your commentary but I can't relate to the soundcloud rapper reviews
chill out melon

5:28 'Installation' is probably the "darkest" song on the album, there's a playful yet obscure vibe in it
My best album very greet sample........thanks to akufen.
this album is a work of art.
Legend.
el mejor disco de Akufen.
定期的に聴きたくなる。ラヂヲをサンプリングしてハウスと混ぜるなんてなぁ………
If you like this... Just look up Akufen Fabric 17... An absolute masterpiece
That was the first I’d heard from him, ages ago. Wish I’d heard this album back then too! Had only heard Skidoos. Better late than never tho 😊
I just love the video description
Maravilhoso esse álbum 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
A work of true genius.
I learn microsampling because of mutek montreal movement. Good one
