- I've always wanted a Fendi Peekaboo and I quickly I found out that I did not like it. It quickly became a love hate relationship. Even years of buying luxury handbags I thought I would know what I would work or not work for my lifestyle. However even to this day I am still learning. Hey girl great video and I have the large Perkaboo it has the short non adjustable strap which for me at 6’2 is way to short for crossbody with the smile in my experience you have to undo the buttons on the sides for it to smile properly with the whole front vs back if you look inside the bag the side with the Fendi plaque is the front I use a bag charm to mark the front or leave the smile open anyway it isn’t a carefree easy to use bag and with the large they’re so heavy coming from a Birkin user that’s saying something it is a beautiful bag but I totally see the valid points your making.💚💚💚💚
Yea absolutely. The way the peekaboo is designed is to have the slouchy look but the leather doesnt wear well...I've seen so many vintage ones where the corners are just destroyed and leather peeling...I dont know what I was thinking getting a vintage one and wanting it to be slouchy. I like more structured bags....thanks Craig for your input!
Great video! I’m actually switching into my Large Selleria Peekaboo while watching this. I love mine! I have the opposite problem with the strap though- it’s the short non-adjustable version, so I never use it with my bag. Usually I keep the front open so I know which side is the front/back, and I love the smile and the peekaboo of the interior on the open side. I’ll admit though, the turn lock can be very fiddly!
I wanted to love it so bad!! Ive been wanting one for years and just haven't found the right price and condition. Now I finally did and I'm super disappointed. I'm glad it works for you. I feel like the strap on mine wouldve been perfect for you 😂

I don’t care for mine after having it for several months. I don’t think it’s a user friendly bag. Can’t tell the front from the back and the locks require 2 hands to close. I find the solid bar annoying and uncomfortable. I was hoping this would be a daily bag but it just doesn’t work for me and I never find myself reaching for it.
Thankfully I bought mine pre loved as they just don’t hold their value at all. One of these days I’ll probably sell it. Until then it will be a bag I only carry to lunch or dinner.
Danggg I'm glad i'm not the only feeling this way. I looked around YT to see if there were other creators that had our same gripes but I didnt see anything. I was like am I crazy or am I just extra particular about my bags? Yes, I am very glad I got mine preloved as well or else it would be extra painful to have spent so much money on this bag.

Aww, that’s sad. I have several Peekaboo bags in various sizes and they’re my most favorite. I’m sure you know this, but Fendi makes other straps (Strap-U) that you can swap out with the one that comes with the bag. Sounds like you don’t like where it hooks on the bag though, so not sure if that would help? I have a regular size like yours and I don’t think my strap is that long; mine does a good shoulder length carry, which is my preference for the regular / medium. The mini, for sure, does not have a super long strap … it crossbodies perfectly on me and I’m 5’4”. I admit the challenge of differentiating front / back doesn’t bother me because I never close my bags. Both compartments stay open, so I can always see what’s in both. I like the way it looks. I don’t care for the closed look, so the locking mechanism isn’t a problem for me. I would advise hanging onto it a bit longer - change out the strap and keep the compartments open so you can see what’s in both sides. See how that works for you. If it doesn’t and you just know you won’t be reaching for it, then it makes sense to move it on.

I wanted the larger size so I can travel with it hence I need it be able to close. Maybe I should look into getting a mini..It ISSSS so sad. I was so excited about finally getting a peekaboo.
That’s so disappointing! I have a more recent iconic peekaboo and the strap is the perfect length with the various settings - they must have shortened it xx
Yea I must have gotten a super vintage one. It was in amazing condition! Maybe I will find another peekaboo that works better for me in the future. I'm glad you love yours!
i had the mini and hated how the strap clipped on and rubbed the leather....I didn't have a length issue with that size❤
Maybe it works best as a top handle bag? I think I'm spending too much time obsessing over this lol
I agree with you! I bought 2 Mini Peekaboos from the Japanese resale market and really wanted to love them. But the strap was too long for me and something about the design of the bag being a little too dressy, I just did not reach for either of them. I ended up selling both on. One of them had a little more wear, I think the bag was only worn open and there was loss of structure happening - the leather looked really wrinkled and did not look good imo. I don’t know if I’ll try getting a Peekaboo in a different size/material to see if I like a bigger one better.
I wanted the Peekaboo because of the smile but then i was like...i dont like the slouchy. Exactly!!! The slouch and the leather wrinkley..I dont think it would look good in the long run. Maybe the ISEEU option might better?

Hi! I haven't bought from Mi Bisloa yet. I've been on a tear buying other brands currently I need to calm down. But it is on my list to buy at some point. I would say to go ahead and buy it and if you don't like it you can always return it. I can't rememeber all the names. Is the cotswold one of the ones I talked about? 😅

Don’t have one, but I didn’t like how the the bars would scratch your hand when reaching into the bag (those edges are sharp).. relating to another video, the Prada outlet recently closed in Texas too ?!!
Yes! I forgot to mention that but that was another problem! Especially when i'm in a hurry at the airport.
Really...? I wonder why Prada is shutting down so many outlets. I do remember that everytime I go there would be like 5 people in there but they only get 5 people in at a time...which is super weird.

I feel like they made the strap so long so that u buy the extra straps. And the front pocket is the one with the zipper 😊
And I wear my peekaboo like a peekaboo 😇 means I close the back side that’s on the body where I have all my important stuff. And I leave the front open, but I unbuckle the sides for that. In the front I have stuff like lipgloss, gum, tissues, handsanitizer, such kind of things
Girl! I don't want to spend more money on extra straps. Yes I did that too but I also didn't like how the leather was super thin that whatever I put in there showed the impression of the items in there. It's too much work to wear that bag. But its sooo prettyyyy thanks for sharing!

I'm so sorry your strap has several irritations for you. I love the Fendi Peekaboo (don't own one) but I get your wanting to jettison it if it's a pain re strap, front/back, buckle, possible creasing. Too many pinprick annoyances imo. Life's hard enough. She's gorgeous but I would say, hasta la vista, baby.🥰🌻

Let the bag go if you have to force yourself to use it comfortably. Anyway, thanks for this review. At one time when the Peekaboo was hot, I wanted one. Not anymore.
It was odd nobody on social media talked about these issues! At least I haven't seen it. But yes it's not sticking around my collection.
I swap out my bags almost daily, so if One bugs me, it’s not gonna be bugging me that much, and I generally buy bags for how they look. It’s a tote that I need to be gargantuan and that’s the only requirement would be beautiful and gargantuan.
I use to love massive bagssss but I dont go to the office anymore hence I dont need one to carry my lunch and laptop. I go more for midsize and smaller bags nowadays...getting old with my shoulder and back problems lol
Yes you definitely need to have a certain mind set to buy certain bags. Not every single purse needs to be functional.
@@Somehowadulting I did check my peekaboo, which is a newer version. The big size kind of trapeze, but not near the luggage size and the strap is perfect so yeah, there has been some change..

Too bad it didn’t work for you as it seems a perfect bag for work and for your purpose. It could be the size though as I have the iconic mini and small iseeu in selleria and they worked for me. Im 5’3 and I find the strap long too. I put the strap both at the back and put my valuable things at the back too. It is the only side that I close so that’s how I identify which side of the bag has my valuable and non valuable items.
The thing is that the leather is very thin and malleable..If i put too much stuff one side vs the other it would stick out and I'm afraid of pressure marks. Wait...the back vs the front? That's the thing I cant tell which is the front or back once I put it down lol that's what annoyed...Yes If you kept one open..ahh that makes more sense. Omg yes if i'm 5'8 and it's too long for me. It would be dragging to the floor for you lol
Your discussion outlined your own answer. Sell It! You use your bags in a specific manner, and this one does not work for you. Annoying bags defeat their purposes, so they are ultimately not worth the frustration that they cause.

Omg the turtledove. I've always wanted one but I haven't found any styles I like in that leather and color except the pochette metis. I already have it in the reverse monogram so I can't justify it...wanna trade 😈😈😈
I think this bag just isn’t for you 😂. I love the Fendi I See U peekaboo in the size small.
As far as organization goes, I put my small items in one side and large items in one side. So if I open it and see large items I know my phone is in the other side.
Mine has a great strap. I have it on the shortest setting and use it as a long shoulder bag.
I think a lot of your issues stem from the icon style. It’s meant to loose its structure. The I See U may be a better option for you.
You have to unbutton the sides for it to get its smile 😃
yea..it seems that way. I LOVE the ISEEU you got! The color...I can't pull off that color for sure lol. I think you're right, maybe the ISEEU one would work better because it's more structured.
