For the first time ever, we are checking out BTS with their tune "Dynamite." I have honestly never heard this group before, but I was very impressed! This tune had a great hook and they were killing the dance moves. This song was so much fun and just made you want to break out some moves on the dance floor! You all let me know what else we should check out from them! Hope you enjoy! #reaction #bts #btsarmy #btsarmyforever #btsforever #btsjungkook #btsrm #btsjimin #btsjin #btssugastatus #btsjhope #btsv #kpop #musicreactions

BTS are Korean and the initials stand for Bangtan Sonyeondan, which translates to Bulletproof Boy Scouts. They are a seven member group, three rapers and four vocalists. Their leader, Namjoon is the only one completely fluent in English. He also has an IQ of 148. When watching their Korean music videos, be sure to turn on “cc” for English subtitles as their music has profound social commentary. BTS debuted in 2013, with the youngest member being 15 at the time. Their fan base is called “Army”. Warm welcome to our vast BTS rabbit hole! 🫶💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Thanks for the reaction. Here's some background on Dynamite if you are interested. So back in early 2020 BTS released their album Map of the Soul: 7 and had a massive world tour planned. Ultimately their entire tour was canceled due to the pandemic. This tour was very important because it was going to be their last tour before pursuing solo ventures and enlisting in the military (military service is mandatory for all able bodied men in South Korea). This of course was a very difficult time for everyone including BTS and their fanbase called ARMY. So during this time they came across the song Dynamite. BTS recorded the song with the hope it would cheer fans up during the pandemic. Initially they were going to change some of the lyrics to Korean but decided the song was good enough as it was. Dynamite was BTS first fully English song (by this point they had been together for over 7 years) and it was huge. Dynamite earned BTS their first Grammy nomination, their first number 1 song on the billboard hot 100, and it broke the record for the most viewed video on youtube in 24 hours with 101.1 million views (BTS would later break this record with their 2nd fully English song Butter). It was also the first song by a kpop act to achieve 1 billion streams on Spotify. Right now 6 out of the 7 members of BTS are enlisted in the military. The oldest member Jin finished his 18 months of service a week ago. BTS is still very much a group and plan to reunite in June 2025 and now is the perfect time to learn more about them because you have over 11 years of content and music to catch up on. The members have also been releasing new music/content that they recorded before enlisting. BTS isn't just a talented group but all 7 members are accomplished soloists too. And trust me if you listen to their solo songs you would be shocked at how different they are as soloists and that these 7 young men are in a group together. I hope you continue to check out more BTS because you've just barely scratched the surface,

      @crystalsnow1138 9 дней назад +14

@@laurakubickova8777 Yes Waste It On Me is fully English, but it's Steve Aoki's song featuring BTS. Who with Lauv ft. BTS was also fully English and came out before Dynamite. Both of these songs also don't have all 7 members on them only a couple. When I or any ARMY say Dynamite is BTS first fully English song we mean it's their first fully English song where they are the lead artist, not a feature. I hope that clears up any confusion.

I'm a 65 year old ARMY, whose life has been enriched by BTS! I love them, and they love us. In my lifetime, I've never known of any group who love their fans like family. There's a saying that "you fond BTS when you need them". That was so true for me. 62 year old swedish Army here! BTS is just absolutely amazing! Besides being the most super talented and versatile artists and performers you could ever think of, I would like to add one more thing that makes them one of a kind and unique:
They are the most humble and likeable people in the music business ever!! They are so down to earth, and just like ordinary guys next door - no superstar shitty behavior at all!!
They also have the best chemistry in the group I ever have seen in a band, no jealousy or competition or anything else! They are like brothers - literally! When one of them does a solo project, the others are the biggest fans, cheering and supporting! Often attending eachothers conserts! This year 13 june was their 11:th annivarsary of BTS. And Jin, that was dismissed from service the day before, took the stage and entertained us Army in the name of the whole group!
They have lived together for about 8 years and shared all the hardships and tribulations from a young age...the youngest was only 14 when he started. It's so heartwarming to see a group of artists who are so close-knit and genuinely like and support each other. They have promised us Armys that they will continue together until they are at least 60. And i trust them in that!

    Thanks for this reaction.
Among ARMY(BTS fanbase), there is a saying that BTS finds you when you need them the most in your life. :)
BTS is a South Korean boy band consisting of three rappers and four vocalists. And all seven of them are excellent dancers.
They do a wide variety of music, but basically they are rooted in hip-hop.
All seven members are participating in making their songs by writing, composing, and producing them.
BTS started with a small company that almost went bankrupt, so they have been very looked down and hated by Korean broadcasting stations and other K-pop fandom. So they have struggled from the beginning to prove themselves.
Dynamite, Butter, Permission to Dance, these three songs were released in English to give positive energy to people around the world during the pandemic caused by Covid-19. :)
Most of their songs are in Korean, and their music video provides subtitles in several languages, including English.
If you're interested in BTS' other songs, I highly recommend the music video and live performance of Spring Day and Mic Drop.
These two songs are totally different from each other, and you can feel the diversity of their music.
And I'd like to introduce the story of the iconic trilogy that led them to a speech to the United Nations General Assembly.
I think it would be good to follow the story line.
DNA: Joy of fateful love → Fake Love: Realizing that love was a lie → IDOL, The Truth Untold, Epiphany, Answer Love Myself: To love other people completely, you should love yourself first.
These are included in Love Yourself Trilogy.
The leader of BTS, RM's speech at the UN cannot be missed. He was only 24 years old at the time!
The lyrics of BTS' songs are based on their own experiences, and their albums are organic because they contain their growth narrative.
It will also be fun to listen to their albums in order and analyze them. :)
They make a wide variety of genres of music like Hip-hop, Ballad, R&B, pop, EDM, etc. I'm sure there're quite a few of their over 300 songs that suit your taste. :)
Oh, if you're interested in their lives, I'd like to recommend these two videos. :)

Suga couldn't participate in the performance due to rehabilitation after his shoulder surgery, but this is one of the masterpieces.
And I think it's going to be copyrighted, but I'd like to introduce their one live performance that shows that BTS is an artist living in reality.
    BTS - Am I Wrong
    ruclips.net/video/LwlYEB7qpNo/видео.htmlsi=6obCNmoHsmm8Zz_h
This video is provided with English subtitles.
Am I Wrong's lyrics are quite political and socially critical.
The lyrics of the song directly quoted a Korean politician as saying, "The people are dogs and pigs." (It means that the public is ignorant, so they in the high class just have to throw them some food and gossip and just keep them alive.)
Here is the lyrics video. :)
BTS (방탄소년단) - Am I Wrong (Color Coded Lyrics)
    ruclips.net/video/pV6jpkbWHj0/видео.htmlsi=IfFXW9AwG1P-h5ra
When BTS released this song (2016), Park Geun-Hye, the former president of South Korea, was the daughter of a dictator, and she also attempted dictatorship through media control.
BTS staged this performance a day after a media outlet revealed that the Park Geun-Hye government had blacklisted and penalized artists who criticized the government and did not listen to them.
And it also aired hours before the first candlelight vigil to impeach the Park Geun-Hye government.
Not only Am I Wrong, but because BTS released many songs criticizing Korean society(ex. Silver Spoon, Dope, Spine Breaker, etc...), many ARMYs and even other fandoms were worried that they would be blacklisted.
Since this was before BTS became a global star, the act could have been very dangerous for them. Nevertheless, they did this at the risk of being blacklisted.
Oh, the former president, Park was finally impeached in 2017, by the way. :)
Actually, BTS members have gone into 18 months of military service under Korean law.
After releasing a collaboration single, The Astronaut, with Coldplay, Jin, the oldest member, had been serving in the military as an assistant in the Korean Army boot camp for 18 months, and he was discharged from the military just a week ago on June 12 and sang three of his solo songs to fans at a fan meeting on the 13th, expressing his gratitude to the fans for waiting.
And J-Hope joined the military about 14 months ago after releasing his solo album Jack In The Box and collaborating with J.Cole. J-Hope is also serving as an assistant to the Korean Army boot camp in a different unit from Jin. And on March 29 this year, his OST album, NEURON which features six songs, released along with a documentary of his passion for dance as one of BTS' main dancers and dance leader. :)
Suga released his solo album, D-Day, last year, and he sold out all of his world tours and ended successfully, and he joined the army, last September 22.
And V and RM joined the army on December 11, and Jimin and Jungkook joined the army together on December 12.
RM ,the leader of BTS, released his first solo album, INDIGO, a year and a half ago, and recently released his second solo album, Right Place Wrong Person. You can watch a video sharing his impressions of his new album with Jimin, one of the members of BTS. :) ruclips.net/video/XQk7zOm68HU/видео.htmlsi=tv7qRuOGCvRupz91
Jimin released his first solo album, Face, last year, and the title track of the album, Like Crazy, became the first Korean male solo artist to reach the Billboard Hot 100. And his second album, MUSE, will be released in July.
V released his solo album, Layover, last September, and after joining the army, he recently appeared in the music video for Korean female solo singer IU's new song 'Love Wins All'.
Jungkook, the youngest member, sang "Dreamers" in the opening ceremony of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and his single "Seven" released last July became the second Korean male solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100, and released his first solo album, GOLDEN.
Due to their military duty, BTS briefly stopped working on a group they had been working on for eight years, and have been focusing on solo work for the past 2 year.
Actually, under Korean law, soldiers are prohibited from profit-making activities other than military service, so they are releasing pre-worked songs before joining the military only to entertain fans, without considering the score on the music charts.
And they promised their fan base, ARMY that each of them will grow further through solo projects and come back together in 2025 after completing their military service.
As I mentioned earlier, Jin came back from his military service on June 12th, and J-Hope will also return to our side on October 17. Jin and J-Hope, who will be discharged first, will entertain ARMY until the other five members return in June 2025. :)
You can watch videos of their enlistment day on their official channel, BANGTANTV, and see the seven of them filled with trust and love. :)
Lastly, I think this video is the best to understand each BTS member. ;)

Very few acts are able to reproduce an up tempo track like Dynamite and have it sound better than the studio but BTS do so consistently.
A great video to watch is BTS Room Live Festa 2021. It’s a tad under 10 minutes- 7 song snippets from 2013-2020 it will give you an idea of how diverse their discography is.

BTS is a group of 7 men from South Korea, 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. They debuted under Big Hit Entertainment in 2013. At this time the youngest and main vocalist was just 15 years old and the oldest was 20. They are all composers, lyricists, producers and can play instruments however they have a backing band called Ghost.
BTS stands for BangTan Sonyeondan, which means bulletproof boyscouts when translated from Korean into English. The CEO, Bang Si Hyuk wanted to create a group that the youth could look up to and grow with. J Hope (band member) has said that the bulletproof part of their name means they are resistant to criticisms that rain on the youth like bullets and to stand up for the youth. Their symbol was a bulletproof vest. As they matured the symbol changed to a door to symbolise people who don't settle for their current position but open the door and step forward into their future. The fandom name is ARMY, an acronym for Adorable Representative MC for Youth. They hoped that the fans would stand with them and represent the ideals of the youth. You will not find another band/fandom with such a symbiotic relationship. The members consistently through the years have shown us who they are, sharing their innermost fears and joys. They are so humble and amazing. I would love for you to discover this. I recommend watching a few more songs to realise their diverse talent, like Mic Drop, Fire, ON: Kinetic Manifesto, Fake Love and then maybe the Guide to the Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari.

BTS are like no other group you've ever experienced. They love their fans, called ARMY, who are ALL AGES. THEY ARE ALL MULTI-TALENTED, YET REMAIN HUMBLE. PLEASE GO DOWN THE BTS rabbit hole. You will never regret it. Always have your subtitles on any other than their 3 english songs. BTS consists of 3 rappers-RM, SUGA & J-HOPE, & 4 singers-Jin, Jimin, V & Jungkook. They all have released solo works recently as they are all serving their mandatory military service. Jin was finished last week with his. Please keep going. ARMY will help you. Thank you. All of their songs are different. Many have deep meanings & always pause a second at the end as just when you think it's over, it's not, and many videos link to another one. Their live videos are awesome. Please check out Save Me OMV, FESTA LIVE 2021, Mic Drop, Fake Love, Run BTS- LIVE IN Busan Yet to Come concert 2022, Magic Shop live. Soooo many.

I am commenting from the UK so wont be joining your patreon, but would like to recommend anyway.
    Permission to Dance.
    Mic Drop Steve Aoki remix.
    Black Swan.
    Crystal Snow.
    On Kinetic Manifesto.
A few songs by BTS all with very different sound.
    Enjoy.

Another over 60 fan. Music is t the only reason we love them. We love their kindness, humor, bond, humility and personalities. This if definitely a group you need to do a deep dive in to. You are in for a treat. All seven members have successful solo careers, too. (But that’s kind of their side job 😂, at least for the foreseeable future. Jimin on the first Korean to get a number 1 Billboard Hot 100(and with a Korean song). Jung Kook is the first Korean to get Billboard all kill (number 1 on the Hot 100, Global 200 and Global 200 excl US). His first solo song holds the records for the fastest song in history get 1 Billion streams on Spotify (108 days). I could go on. They all have broken records, won awards, etc.
BTS, the group, has broken records set by The Beatles and MJ.

love BTS! they write their own songs, produce, sing, rap and dance, they are absolutely talented, their music is deep and their songs are meaningful, dynamite is a fun song which they released during the pandemic to ease the pain of people, their usual songs are diverse and more than just eye and ear candies. Akson do check out their leader RM's new album which had been named as one of the best albums in 2024 (so far) by Rolling Stone, NME and Billboard. Tomorrow 28 june, one of their vocalist is releasing his pre-release single Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (album release is on 19 july), we are all so excited for it ! do check it out too :)

BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondon which means Bulletproof Boy Scouts in English) is a very talented group of 7 guys from Korea. They are amazing singers, dancers, song writers, producers, and just all-around good people.
My suggestions for more songs to react to are MIC Drop, Microcosmos, Fire, Black Swan. There's Behind the Scenes and explanatory videos for some of their deep lyrics, too.
Look forward to hearing your reactions to more of their songs! 💜

Thanks for your reaction. BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan translates to Bulletproof Boy Scouts) are well known for their amazing and meaningful lyrics. Many of their songs have a deeper meaning to them and you can find explanation videos breaking them down. Spring Day is a must it hasn't left the Melon daily chart since its release in 2017. I recommend the Italian Army explanation video of Spring Day that explains all the symbolism in the video too. Also, On Kinetic Manifesto, Black Swan, Fake Love, Mic Drop, Dope (2015), Ugh and Ddaeng (from the rap line). Ddaeng also has an exploration video as ddaeng has circa 8 different meanings in the song. Louder than Bombs is also a great song but doesn't have a mv. To cut a long story short. I personally haven't heard a bad song yet! I only found BTS and plunged down the rabbit hole in Oct 2022 and became an Army (one of the senior ones at 63 year old!) They got me back listening to music! Anyway enjoy your venture into the BTS rabbit warren and thanks again! PS they all have solo work/albums too! 😊

BTS stands for BangTan Sonyeondan (bulletproof boyscouts in english). Despite their image being associated with boybands from the US, BTS are very different, they have countless genres in their 11 year discography but probably the least they have is pop, and even less songs that are in english, 98% of it is in korean, but western media pays less attention to those creating a false perception that BTS is comparable to boybands bc of their very few english songs.
BTS members also write and produce their own music, their label (since 2013) has in house producers/writers but BTS members have always been involved in the process of making their music, and all 3 rapper always write their own verses bc they are real rappers. RM alone is the youngest and second most credited idol. Among his credited songs, 4 have hit #1 on the Billboard Hot100 and 21 have hit the BB hot100 chart overall.
    (rapper) RM - 225
    (rapper) Suga - 169
    (rapper) J-Hope - 144
    (vocalist) Jungkook - 22
    (vocalist) V - 19
    (vocalist) Jimin - 17
    (vocalist) Jin - 15
Can you please react to RM's new album (member and leader of BTS) "Right Place, Wrong Person"????????
It has been nominated for best albums of 2024 so far by Billboard, Rolling stone and NME.
It is described by NME as comtemporary R&B, Jazz Rap, Neo-Soul, I think it will really surprise you. It's not the type of music you expect.

Nice reaction! BTS is truly phenomenal. I’m a Dynamite Girl myself. So I’m almost a 4 yr ARMY girl. This song changed my life ~ I literally remember where I was when I heard it ~ the date, time, location…everything! I fell hard for BTS almost INSTANTLY!!! It’s been such a wonderful ride! I’ve seen them once in concert in 2021 on their Permission to Dance tour. Talk about amazing ~ it blew my mind! I’ve tried to listen to every song they’ve ever recorded. You should check out the following BTS videos: Blood Sweat & Tears, Mic Drop, Dope, Boy with Luv (ft. Halsey), Fake Love, DNA, Fire, Danger, Butter, Permission To Dance, Black Swan, Idol, and Anpanman (from the Today Show Concert Series). I also love the BTS Tiny Desk Concert on NPR (where you really get to hear their vocals), and the dance practice video for the song Baepsae (Silver Spoon). Just about every official music video has a corresponding dance practice video. They are really fun to watch, as sometimes you can really see the choreo well. I hope to see more BTS reactions from you! 😊💜

All their discography is 100% worth checking out - as a group and as soloists. Yes, because the 7 of them are also all successful solo artists as well! They make meaningful lyrics over really good beats. All of them are insanely talented individually and extremely different from each other and come together to make a positive impact on people through music
Dynamite is part of their English trilogy that they released during the pandemic. One of the rare songs they didn't help produce or write. It such a fun song!
They do play instruments but they use a band
Believe it or not, they are even better live!
If you're interested in knowing more about the group, Boracity Magazine has a bunch of video essays about them
Also, for their Korean songs, you could pull out Doolset's lyrics translations on Google on the side to have accurate translations and context for their lyrics. They do a wonderful job to share more of their message 💜

BTS made dynamite to cheer everyone up during the pandemic, it's a great uplifting song and it's their first English single (they only have three). Dynamite was HUGE internationally and went #1 on Billboard HOT 100, it was also played everywhere and still is today even in Canada. Dynamite doesn't represent the musical catalog the guys have as a group nor individually but it's one of many genres they can do. BTS began as a Hip hop group in 2013 but have expanded into all kinds of genres of music since. Currently all members have released solo albums. Jimin the one with the higher pitched voice is releasing his second solo album 'MUSE' July 19th so please look forward to that and welcome to BTS =)

I can see that my fellow ARMY have told you a lot already. The BTS rabbit hole is so real, but also one of the best experiences. Please keep listening to them because there is something for everyone. Aside from their incredible discography and deep, insightful lyrics, BTS are 7 men who remain consistently humble and appreciative of everything they earn. I honestly have never seen more down to earth artists and they do so much for their fans.
I highly suggest watching a guide to get a sense of what they have been through. I know some say it is outdated, but its still really well made and is only missing the last 2 years worth of information, so I recommend A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. I think overall, it will give you a good sense of each member and how the group has fought to be where they are. You can always watch more after to learn about what they have done in the past 2 years that the guide does not cover.

ARMY will tell you the 4 songs BTS put out in English to chear up a post covid world are not really representative. Its not that they do not do what they intended brilliantly. They do everything brilliantly. They started as a hip hop group. Have 3 world class rappers. 4 world class vocalists. Every single one of the 7 has their own solo projects that have broken records and are highly regarded. They cover nearly every genre and excel at mixing genres in innovative ways. For instance J Hopes record breaking main stage at LOLLAPALOOZA CHICAGO debut solo Jack In The Box concert with its 100,OO0 audience was hip hop/ rock. If you like pop check out Jungkooks STANDING NEXT TO YOU from GOLDEN. Or Jimins FACE album . If you like Coldplay try Jins ASTRONAUT. If you love boundary pushing experimental try RMs critically regarded RIGHT PLACE WRONG PERSON. Or his more earlier INDIGO. Listen to one of the best rappers around AGUST D( aka Suga) DAECHWITA 1st in his brilliant trilogy. Like jazz, Soul R&B try Vs LAYOVER. ....tone deaf try their hilarious reality content.

Bighit don't have Lot of artist compared to the the Big 3 companies like JYP, SM, YG. If u know blackpink they are from YG, if BTS is King of Kpop, Blackpink is The queen of Kpop. But BTS is more larger than Kpop, because Kpop did'nt archive Achievements. It's BTS Achievements.

So much more for you to explore. Ten years of group songs plus solo work spanning so many genres and styles 🤣
There's not really a wrong place to start, just let your curiosity guide you! But don't stop at this one song, it's barely the surface of their discography. They're very, very good at what they do, and whatever it is you like, one of them probably does it.
Speaking of dancing like Michael Jackson, there's a live version of Dynamite with a deliberate homage in the dance break, and some of Jungkook's solo work also contains direct references.
Speaking of Usher, he and Jungkook danced together 😁😁😁 it's brilliant.
The Bruno Mars comparison is pretty apt for this song but probably not most of their songs. But in the sense that they're incredibly charismatic dancers and singers, yes.
Love that you picked up on the different vocal tones. It's one of our favorite things, that they trained to develop unique vocal qualities while still blending together. All four singers have interesting voices and different strengths.
Hope to see you dig in more 😁

I love BTS but I love Stray Kids they both K-Pop which has lots different ones like older one was Big Bang. The new ones is New Jeans, iTZY, Seventeen just to name a few. I was always called the weird kid for like K-Pop and J-Pop which is Korean and Japanese pop. The J-Pop I liked was AKB48.

They have 400+ songs in all-group, rap line, vocal line, and solo. About 120 are videos, though there are plenty of concert videos, and small live shows. 40 million (60 million?) fans can't be wrong. None of their music is shallow except maybe these 3 all-English pop songs meant for fun. They are a cultural icon for Korea and opened the door for kpop to come to the western world, winning AMA, Billboard, People's Choice, 5 grammy nominations, spoken at the UN and with Biden. So, have fun and welcome!

I been a BTS Army since 2020 and until now. Bts is now in hiatus which means bts members are now in military but the oldest member Jin who was enlist in 2022 is now discharge and is now back. But the group will do a project as a group in year 2025. But please understand that Hiatus is they are not Disband ok?!! They just get break until 2025 but they still very active they actually prepare a solo project before they got enlist just for their fans. Right now Jimin is now in military he just announced his solo album called Muse that will out in July 19.
Don't worry we don't mind long video it's ok.

Dynamite is one of simpliest songs they've done along two other English written songs Butter and Permission to Dance (Written by Ed Sheeran). Surprisingly, all these songs stayed at No. 1 for over 4 weeks at Billboard Hot 100.

    A lot of information, right?
    Army loves talking about BTS.
I recommend you react to "A guide to BTS members: bantang 7" by Taylor.
It's a good start to know a little about them before continuing your journey.
A lot of things happened since that guide but it works.(Just don't miss anything, time is not important to us).💜 Saludos desde Argentina

Alot of their english songs especially like dynamite and butter sound kinda corny because its supposed to be , its supposed to give you good vibes and a cheerful beat . Check out their other songs especially their korean songs , you'll be amazed by their fluidity when it comes to music

Hello from a 73 year old ARMY member. I fell down the rabbit hole when I saw Mic Drop Steve Aoki remix from 2017. I think this one "put them on the map" so to speak. Also check out their video ON Kinetic Manifesto. The marching band used toward the end is The Big Blue from University of Michigan. This was one of the first songs they sang in English. RM is the only one that spoke English so he taught them. RM is slightly on the taller side.

Yes, they are all great dancers. If you want to see more of their dancing abilities check out ON: ruclips.net/video/gwMa6gpoE9I/видео.html . You are also correct, they look up to MJ. 2 of the members (Jimin and JK) paid tribute to him a few years ago dancing to his "Black or White': ruclips.net/video/GDFcGPIjvRg/видео.html

As a production critic, id urge you to check out their extensive discography, you will find pretty much every genre.
And definitely should check out RM's (the leader) newest album Right Person, Wrong Place. It is a solo album (they are currently serving their mandatory military service so left solo albums for us). It is AOTY material, (wont get nominated because the Grannys are xenophobic) very alternative/hip hop/funk. The production values are insane.
They all write and produce so their music reflects their stories. You wont be disappointed!
