Thanks Joe. I've looked at Power Factor before (including the beer analogy!) and as an amateur never really understood it. The way you've built on the theory of AC over these videos and especially the mathematical approach (something I am good at!!) has helped to make sense of these difficult concepts.
What a great comment, thanks very much for that. I was a bit worried that I'd lost people a bit along the way but hopefully putting the building blocks together in a logical order has helped others too. Stay tuned for next Sunday's video which is specifically about Power Factor and then some practical application of what we've covered! 👍
@@JoeRobinsonTraining my problem is not being lost with the explanation but remembering all the different formulas there are. Bricking my exam on the 12th February for L3 electrical science and principles.
Hello joe Robinson sir, I am following your ac theory and 3phase circuits, vedios they are amazingly amazing. I am an active subscriber and follow your vedios regularly, sir can you please explain what is average value and rms value. I am super curious to learn. Thank you
🤣 I know it's like electrical heresy right? Nothing but respect for Mr Scaddan, used his book both for learning and teaching. Plus I can't imagine he's heard of me and my little channel anyway! Thanks for the comment and stay tuned for more. 👍
You never know Joe, he might be watching......... Interesting that you're making these videos on this subject at this time. I'm now getting started on it with my second year apprentices. They can have a look at these videos to bolster what I'm teaching them. 👍
The power company does not charge residential customers for apparent power .. industrial customers will get charged for a parent power and the poor power factor . Reactive power is not wasted power. It is necessary for certain types of loads. Other than that I guess you say Bob's your uncle

These videos have been brilliant during lockdown, while we’ve been unable to attend classes or do any practical.
Thanks for saying so, I'm glad they've helped. 😊
Do you have any questions regarding transformers? Step up, step down? Delta, star, balanced, unbalanced,
You explain in a very good way thanks!
Thank you very much sir..Great explain.. I'm From sri lanka
You're welcome, glad it was helpful! 😊
Well explained. Thank u.
Wow, Im very enlightened by your video! Now I understand impedance!

Thanks for the comment and the suggested content Sasi, I'll add it to my to do list. Stay tuned for more! 👍
@@JoeRobinsonTraining thanks joe
Very helpful thanks
Ur r the best
Please answer fast: Is theta the same from the impoedance trangle to the power triangle?, thanks !
Yes.
Do you still do classes that would cover this as an adult learner?
Hi Chris, I'm afraid I don't but if you check out my AC Theory playlist it's pretty much exactly what I do in class. 👍

Brian Scaddan won't be very happy with your poo pooing of his beer analogy 😆

Residential customers get charged for the real power they use
