This is beautiful. Quincy and Ray were friends from the age of 14/16 and remained so since Ray’s passing. His Kennedy Center Honour performance in tribute to Quincy is a tear jerker.
Three icons who come fourth with genius in music and one for seeing that genius in multitudes of performers associated with his company. All encompassing the American vernacular and traditions in music that only America owns! All of it born from the pain & suffering deep inside those alienated by society and some of which, who through one man and his company gave those voices an unwavering spot of dignity to the lofty levels of what I would call true American American royalty. The level of musicianship on that stage in two men who posthumously changed the American music landscape forever at a time when we needed it and has since endured as fresh and timeless as it ever was. Ray & Quincy both continued evolve and they both tirelessly lived to entertain and perform for the sake of music!! Ray Charles you are truly loved and missed and Ahmet thank you for bringing him to us!!!
THE GUYS WOULD TALK ABOUT ABOUT THESE MUSIC INDUSTRY MASTERS TO ME ALL MY LIFE....NOW HERE THEY SHARE THE MONUMENTAL STAGE TOGETHER...MY MOM'S FAVORITE PIANIST/ SINGER/ GENUIS. ***RAY CHARLES*** CONGRATULATIONS. ...
Ray Charles, sits on top of them all, in my opinion....when it comes to overall musical talent, my Mt Rushmore is Stevie Wonder, Prince, Sarah Vaughn and Ray Charles.
"In this business, there is only one true genius, and that's Ray Charles."-- Francis Albert Sinatra.

+Shane O'Donoghue If there was anyone who deserve to be the one to induct Ray in the HOF, it was Ertegun.
