  • Over the past few years, the world of college admissions has seen substantial change. Join us at “Ask the Experts”, a panel discussion designed to help you make sense of the ever-evolving landscape.
You have questions, and these admissions officers have answers. Students, parents/guardians, and educators are all welcome for this highly informative session.
    Topics will include:
    - Testing: Why are some schools moving back towards test-required? Should your student plan to submit test scores and how do colleges evaluate applications without them?
    - Classes & Grades: How do honors, AP, IB, and dual enrollment classes factor into the process? Is the rigor of courses more important than grades or vice versa?
    - Extracurriculars: How should students use their time outside of school? Students are told to find their "passions" but how is a high school student supposed to already know what they love to do?
    - College Visits: When should students start thinking about campus visits? How can you use your time on campus wisely, and what can you learn from a visit that you might not be able to learn otherwise?
    - Essays: What are colleges looking for in students’ essays? What topics and details can make you stand out in the admissions process?
    Meet the Panel:
    - Carol Lee Conchar, Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions, The George Washington University.
    - Kenny Sawada, Associate Director of Admissions at Syracuse University
    - Ashley O'Cain, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions, The University of Georgia
    - Paul Kanarek, Founder and Former CEO, Collegewise (moderator)
Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to hear from admissions officers on these trending topics.
