In case people are wondering....you don't have to connect to the WiFi signal of the TDM to configure it and set it all up but also...the unit only broadcasts its signal in 2.4Ghz and not 5Ghz
i updated my TDM with the help of your video/links a year ago. it's running V1.0.1 220815 - now i wanted to upgrade to the newest version V1.0.1_231008 but it always gets stuck at 50 percent. the gui says "upgrade failed" and the TDM is freezing. i can power off the KD8003 and the TDM and it is working again. but the upgrade always fails, do you know any help to this? i also found the firmware V1.0.1_build230717 but i get the same error.
we have a problem ... we replaced the old DS-KD-E with the new TDM, but we can't get the RFID chip reader to work, it doesn't respond to the chips :-( why not... do you have any idea ???
@@fortusireland oh shit ... what a shit action from hikvision... aaaall Chips we must New buy :-/ Have you a idea , the picture Theme on tdm, go on by motion ? When a guest coming? Is picture/theme all time on by you ???
@@djchv Ahh, it's not a shit action from Hik. You were able to get the new display module that supports your EM cards. It's a different code of the device - DS-KD-E or DS-KD-TDE. They're just less popular. Unfortunately you got the wrong device. I will check the themes settings on the newer firmware and let you know :)
@@fortusireland When does the topic picture come on for you? I can't understand it, sometimes when I go out and look at it, sometimes the display is just black, I don't understand which rule applies to that

An information, the theme is always shown on the display or after a few seconds the display turns off? Thank you
It will turn off automatically. You can turn on motion detection in the KD8003 and it will wake the DS-KD-TDM.

Hi, DS-KD-E is an EM (125KHz) card reader where DS-KD-TDM has a Mifare (13.56 Mhz) card reader built-in.
