- Photoshop CC 2022 (23.5) tutorial showing how to make photos look like retro-style, color pencil drawings that were popular in the 1970s and 1980s. The technique shows how to replace a photo with another without having to redo any of the effects.

I just love your tutorials!. I plan to make a gallery wall with family photos using several of your techniques, which will level it up from ordinary and expected to something truly special.

I have a suggestion, can u make a tutorial how create stranger things poster effect? Stranger things cover has something like drawing effect :D
Thanks for the suggestion!
Always shifu psd 🙇♂️
As always Marty love your videos, however the brush to bring back detail never worked it just painted on more of the paper background
Your foreground and background colors may be inverted or your layer mask may be inverted.
I’m not sure what I’m missing, at 5:40 it’s making me rasterize the smart object. When I go to brush it over, it brushes in more paper texture instead of removing it.
Make sure the layer mask is active; not the smart object.

Thank you, my friend. Please, my friend. What is the name of the picture used in the orange tape? What are these types of pictures called?
"Orange Tape"? Please elaborate. Thank you.
@@BLTV_Photoshop Thank you my friend, we always benefit from you a lot.
Hola! Cuando intento abrir la instantánea para poner otra foto, al hacer doble click sobre el objeto inteligente, me lo abre con Camera Raw, así que no puedo hacer el cambio de foto.
Go to Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw, and hold Ctrl as you click.
I can't change the snapshot image, it just saves a new image without replacing it with the "paper texture" image and yet I have repeated the manipulation several times without success. Can anyone help me solve my problem ?
I'm not sure what you mean by "snapshot". A "snapshot" is a composite of your visible image. To replace your original photo with another, double-click the thumbnail of the smart object to open its source. Place your new photo on top of the old photo in the Layers panel. Close the tab of the Smart Object and click OK if you see a pop-up message. The new photo should now be the main subject of your pencil illustration.
@@BLTV_Photoshop The problem is that when I double click on the thumbnail of the smart object and place the new photo and then close that window to change the photo then it asks me to save this new file. When I do all this nothing happens to the original photo and I end up with the original file and then the new image file by itself.
Did u use photoshop
Yes, I started to use PS in the late-1990s.
