i am 35 years old, i started using hair color (garneer and godrej) since i was 20 years old. That time only few hairs were white.
BUT slowly my white hairs started increasing, and half of my hairs became white till the age of 30. I was continuousely using hair colour once a month.
I became very depressed when i saw half of my hair whitened.
Finally i decided to stop using hair colour. Since last 3 years i am using only henna. And my nhmber of white hairs are reducing now. Although it is happening very slowly but i am very happy that my white hairs are not increasing at least. If i had continued with hair dye then all my hairs would have become white till now. I WILL NEVER EVER USE ANY HAIR DYE ...
I have shared my own experience, its not a theory, its PRACTICAL. Now Choice is yours. 👍
What if i don't colour my hair roots ?
I have colored my hairs from roots recently for the first time.. I'm seeing grey hairs.. if next time i prevent my roots while colouring then can can i prevent greying?

No idea about that
But one thing is sure, using hair dye will certainly increase graying process.
If u dont use hair dye then your hair will turn gray at normal pace, but after using hair dye it will start graying very rapidly, and once the hair turns gray it is very very difficult to turn it black again.
😅 i think its a trap, if you start coloring your hair, then you will have to colour always because it inreases the grey hairs. And you dont want to look older 😂

There is hydrogen peroxide in chemical dyes and if they penetrate inside the shaft and root wont thay cause oxidising effect. They definately do. I dyed once and i wonder most of my hair. Goes white than before
