not a forest fan or even english, but i've always liked pearce, he was an honest pro, fearless and hard working with the heart of a lion, for so called fans to give him the abuse he got becaused he missed a penalty was terrible, it takes guts to step up there and take a pen infront of 60 000 fans, i can imagine the space between the posts would shrink the closer you walk towards the goal? none of us could do it, our arses would collapse, phsyco is a bigger man than any of us 🏴🇬🇧

What a strong man. Had to put up with dogs abuse after that penalty miss. Ultimate redemption was achieved at Euro 96 though. Legend
I watched both penalty shootouts at the time. I can tell you every single person that watched both will tell you where they were when he scored.
Scoring his pen in 96 - well his reaction after to be precise - remains my favourite football memory bar none. Until the boys bring it home that is. And even then it will be a close run thing
