That was special. That young fellow, Gus, had a whole lot on his shoulders that was so heavy, he couldn't even know what it was made of. To see the grief dissolve a little, and to see the relief and connection, while he listened to Tyler, was magic to see. I expect the awful dark cloud will disappear from over Gus's head and he'll blossom now, to live his life. That was so touching and raw to witness.
This was such a profound loss in the Telluride community. The memorial was an incredible event filled with love and support for friends and family of Hoot.
I sometimes compare life to a play in the sense "some actors have long part's to play and others have short part's to play" unfortunately his friend's part in the play was short and he'd passed away even if Gus wasn't present. Also most ppl don't care if someone's gay bc there's more to a person than their sexual orientation. Take care of urself Gus

I wish i could have him read me. I have so much that I need lifted off of me with my Mom. She had cancer and passed away from it and she thought I didn’t care. I had a very hard time dealing with it and didn’t go and see her as much as I should have. When I did and she use to talk about it, I use to change the subject, because I didn’t know what to say or how to handle it. She and My Dad, thought I just didn’t care. She passed away thinking this. My dad brought this up and my Sister did as well and my Sister told me that my Mom didn’t want me around to take her to her appointments because I made her nervous and that I just wanted a day off from work. Do you believe that!!!!! No one asked me how I felt, so she passed away in 2011 and this is what I have to think about and deal with every day of my life. I just want closure with my Mom. I do talk to her everyday. I am hoping that she hears me and understands that everyone deals with things differently. I did tell my Dad and my Sister how I felt and what I have to go through every day of my life.
