I look for and listen to everything with Jessica and so far this is the deepest I’ve ever heard her go into all the hard sh!t💖 thanks for sharing Jessica.
Podcasts are my therapy. I’ve never been to therapy, but listening I realize a lot of things about myself. I’m the youngest of 3 children, my brother had open heart surgery at 1. It makes me give my parents a lot of passes because they had their focus on my brother. But the older I get , I realize I needed attention too.
Its so hard being a parent to multiple children as it is i can imagine how a childs major health problem can complicate the relationships with the other children. I hope you can reconcile your emotions with your parents and be able to have a stronger relationship with them as adults.
Coffee in hand, booty in recliner, Honeydew playing. A perfect Tooesdee morning indeed! For anyone struggling or feeling down.... You have a purpose. You are important. Your life and voice matters. #NightpantsNation LOVES YOU BIG! I'm so GLAD you're here today reading this and watching the Dew with all of us! Just remember if you're in a stormy season in your life the storm WILL pass and the sunshine is coming! It gets better. 💚🌞🌈
@Austin Batton It happened to my parents and they were married for 34 years before my dad died. He was 18 and my mom was 33. Dreams do come true! Have a good week buddy :)
The way she treats Pete in HBO's series; Crashing, is so nice. I really like Jessica alot. From seeing her on Tigerbelly. Crashing. Seeing her standup. She's just an all around great lady. This is gonna be a fun Choosdee.
I work for an ART therapist and we've done weekend sessions with Veterans (including me) where one session made 50-100% overall improvements. Anxieties, depressions, ptsd, childhood trauma. ART is amazing.
I'm debating on emailing the lady she was talking about since I live like 30 minutes away from her office. Can't get any better than going to the creator right?
@Amanda Jean Hi there fellow Honeydew fan, I was hoping to be able to email you to ask for advice on which ART specialist offering online help would be good to contact. I'm based in South Korea and I've felt for a while that I've hit a ceiling with talk therapy. I have been trying to research on my own but it would be so reassuring if I could incorporate any opinion or recommendation you might have!
Jessica you are one of the funniest Stand Ups EVER...but as an compassionate, compelling, insightful, feeling, human being and storyteller...you are incredible and inspirational. Thank you.
Me: OMG Jessica Kirson!? Cant wait to laugh! (1hr later) Jessica: "We hold this thing on her face and she's screaming." Me: (uncontrollable blubbering)
Daddy Sickler in that plaid suit looking RIGHT! Wish you’d come visit central FL soon enough! :) so happy to see Jessica Kirson on, you’ve been killing the game with guests lately. She’s a total gem. Pure comedy. Much love nightpants! xx
Jessica Kirson has the gift of gab which is probably why she has so many kids without having to be the one pushing them out 😁 Thank goodness she never used it for evil, but instead chose to use it for everyone's entertainment 🙏
Man that story about her daughter had me holding back major tears, and I don't even have kids. Really puts things in perspective. I don't have shit to complain about.
I like that she said the thing about when people try to make comparable comments to make themselves feel better. I have certainly done this in the past, but more and more have learned to just stfu when I have nothing to say. I forgot how good the Honeydew is. Jessica and Sickle cell are wonderful human beings.
I only got to see Jessica Kirson for the first time on Tim Dillon’s podcast several weeks ago. She is making the rounds lately and I for one can’t get enough of her. She is getting the recognition she so deserves now. I can’t get enough of her.
This made me realize I am an addict. My father is an addict and he also gave me a taste of alcohol when I was a child. Jessica is not only hilarious but just a great, kind, and genuine person. ❤️
The HoneyDew is my absolute favourite podcast. I’m going through a lot right now. But getting help for the first time. I love the honeydew to escape every Tuesday. Im in professional therapy and 12 step and recovery from years of alcoholism. Im almost 6 months sober but very ashamed of it still. My coworkers, family and friends know I’m in therapy but I’m still hiding a lot about my addiction. I didn’t come to the HoneyDew to listen to recovery talk that I hear on the daily, but I needed this. I really really did. I’m pretty serious about sobriety but don’t follow a great program. Outside of AA and my therapy I never talk about addiction or listen to speakers or videos. I keep it a secret from my personal lives and relationships. I needed this today.
If you are six months sober after years of alcoholism, then you should be proud. Hell, I admire the hell out of you for that and I don't even know you.
I use to work at seattle children's hospital and I use to cry and cry while working, I only had 2 of my 3 children and my middle son was only weeks old.... I worked in the kitchen and I saw the receipt with the same name as my son from the cancer unit and that was an eye opener. I hugged another mom who told me she was on her way home with her son she knew she would be back but I hugged her. I saw parents with no hope and just depressed ( not even a dent to what I saw) pulling their kids in a wagon out to the car and I can't even imagine nor do I want to....
Serendipitous. I've been sober for 7 months and have been thinking of starting edibles. Listening to Jessica is a sign from my H.P. that I don't need to start it up! Thank you Ryan and Jessica!!!
First time I saw her was on Tim Dillon’s show, there are very few people on his level of comedy but she certainly is. Edit: Saw her live and thought I was gonna pass out, she just had one laugh after another. No disrespect to Tom Segura or Tim Dillon but she slaughtered compared to the shows I went to of theirs.
Jessica, sending so much love to you and your family from New Zealand , am going to be praying for Bella now everytime I watch you which is often, you help me so much with my compiles PTSD and your brutal honesty is so refreshing in Maori we say arohanui = with love and kia kaha, =stand strong, so glad she got brave wahine toa -strong women like you and your beautiful wife, will check out ART too, have got a lot out of EMDR but this sounds incredible. Thanks ❤❤❤❤❤
I’m a huge fan of both your comedy and podcasts! I was stoked to see this and excited to hear Jess. After completing it this is in my top 10 podcast ever atleast. I really really hope and need a part 2/3/4/5 etc. this is helpful for my emotions no lie lol
Great episode, I’ve heard Jessica a bunch of times before but didn’t know any of this background info. Being a dad, the kid stuff killed me. I wish her and her family the best, and anyone in any similar kind of situation the same
My mother also passed away from pancreatic cancer a few months into the covid scare and we couldnt even give her a proper funeral because of all of the restrictions for inside events at the time. It still infuriates me.
Thank you so much for this Ryan and Jessica this was an amazing podcast Jessica I am now a huge fan I love your story I related to so much of it and it helped with a lot so thank you so much! Ryan always love everything you do you’re awesome yourself!

Thanks for the podcast Ryan and crew. One of the best ways to get to know your next favourite comedians.
Out of all Jessica’s interviews, this one clearly stands out with how intimate it is and how Jess is not afraid to share her weak spots 💔❤️🩹
Jessica is so sincere. Super awesome woman 🤘 Thanks for another one Sickler
