Hi. I knew that you wouldn't like this BUT I feel a bit upset that you say that this is a joke entry. To me a joke entry is an entry made only for the Eurovision and the point of it is not to win even in some cases. Like a band or an artist that normally doesn't make that type of music ( or doesn't even exist ). But One Morning Left has made this type of music for a long time and there are fans who actually enjoy this and don't think that it's a joke. Having humor in music doesn't make it a joke. The band said they make feel good metal, and to me this is that. I think that even when we don't like some artist or a song we should appreciate their work. The vocals in this genre are hard to do for example. Also the lyrics have depth if you allow yourself to think about it. I think I've never heard a song that is relatable to cute aggression. Also, it's sometimes hard to be responsible of a living being no matter if it's a dog, pet or another human even. I think that I can use this song to cheer me up but also when I feel frustrated when something or someone I'm responsible of makes a mess. So I'm happy that they made the song even if we don't send it to ESC. ( I will vote for it though ).
Ye I mean I got annoyed when ppl said Windows95man was joke entry last year. I gotta be honest though, I certainly hope my fellow Finns will NOT send this to Eurovision this year, not when we have such talented singers like Neea Rivers, Viivi and Goldie to choose from this year + I wouldnt mind even if Erika Vikman would now get her chance to go to Eurovision either. But I got to be honest with this song, it annoys the heck out of me and I very rarely get actually annoyed by songs, no matter what genre they are 🤣 I mean this whole song and the music video feels like one giant ADHD attack and I just want to throw it out the window. I honestly think its one big shame if we vote this for Eurovision I have to say, but ofc we all have different tastes, I just dont get it what ppl like about this.
If you send a song from a niche genre, please at least send a good example. This was absolutely the worst song from this genre I've heard, and the lyrics are for 15-year-olds and younger.
@@MikaMooMoouwu Oh I SO feel for you, because you have really great options this year in my opinion. So I understand your feelings if this wins 🙄and I feel sorry for you 🤗. Good luck though, let's hope Finnish people take the contest serious this time 🍀
Alright, the text indeed isn't great but I was too busy listening to the layers of music and the surprises to mind too much. So I'm with Deban on this. Puppyy🤘 I don't think Finns should just vote for the one song they think could win, everyone needs to consider what's closest to their heart.
Well, the text, ie. lyrics, isn't great in most Eurovision songs, far from it (so many Eurovision songs have seemed like the lyrics were written by 5 year olds), but with other songs nobody complains... ;D

Hey from Finland! I loved your reaction😂 I love this song🔥 Going to see this live in UMK finale. Cannot wait how they'll do their show. So far Puppy is my favorite but still waiting for Queen Erika💖
No I fully agree. There’s a fine like between a jokey entry and having fun but still being serious - and the lyrics to this just seem like they are taking the p*ss. We have to expect Finland will choose this sadly but we can hope there’s an unexpected result.
When you think about past entries that Finland has sent to Eurovision in the last few years, it trends. Do I think it's a contender? Yes. Is it my favorite out of the songs that have been announced so far for UMK 2025? No. Do I think it has a chance to win the televote at UMK? I'm not sure. Mixed feelings here, but we shall see what the public decides when they perform this live.
The main reason Windows95Man won last year was because they nailed their stage show. It was never trending of winning before that. Most of the others stage shows failed some how. They did not hit the notes or their singing was not on point. Windows95Man pulled it off and people noticed and voted. So it can be anybodies play this year as long as they nail it on stage anyone can win. I was not going to vote Windows95Man before the show and after they nailed and the other faltered I gave my votes for them.
At this point it's obvious that Käärijä was both a blessing and a curse. When people lack imagination and try to replicate the past, this is the result. Like you said, the lyrics are weak and that makes it look like they are not serious.
@@saarapollonen8138 That doesn't mean that they are immune to taking influences. Or are you implying that Käärijä copied them? This song has several elements that are not typical for them, such as the autotune singing parts, and I believe this is the first time they worked with Kiro. After doing their thing for 16 years without succes it is a good idea to try new things. But this is not new.
Unless Erikas has epic song, which might be difficult since expectations are seemingly way too high for it, then this song is probably going to win UMK. I like this song "enough" myself (i like almost all of the songs this year), but even finnish Eurovision community is more divided on this than it was with W95man. But atleast there won't be any pantless guys running around this time, i assume 😁. However none of the songs revealed so far is so superior that i would day it surely wins. Like last year, the live performances are likely going to decide the winner unless Erikas has something too awesome to not win.
The problem for me with this song is that it clearly aims to please the same audience as Käärijä but it just lacks all the qualities that made Cha Cha Cha so successful. It was a fun song but not a joke entry while this is clearly a joke and not even a funny one. Trying the same trick for a third time in a row by sending this to esc when even the second try didn't work would be very predictable and boring
I think the naked ass on the stage last year was a joke and cost us a lot of points even though the song itself was decent. Puppy on the other hand is just having fun with cute puppies without pretending to have any deeper meaning - plus screaming to wake you up. 😄
Exactly. Sending this would feel like people never learn. I've also seen a lot of opinions around that people just don't care because they don't think we can win, and they would rather piss off Europe and the juries than send a good but boring song, which is disappointing. I wish my countrymen had a better attitude about it, or at least had the sense to not vote in UMK if they don't care about Eurovision and ruin it for us who do.
I dont usually want to say negative things about UMK entries, but I have to be honest....this is one of those songs that has actually managed to make me feel annoyed 🤣 I mean I guess its better than if the song doesnt make you feel anything, but I honestly dont get one bit why people like this song. I would send anyone else but them to Eurovision, this is certainly not ChaChaCha 2, it wont have the same kind of mass appeal that some people seem to think. I seriously hope that my fellow Finns dont make serious mistake by sending this to Eurovision, not when we have actually talented singers like Neea River, Viivi and Goldie to choose from this year.
Please, no more of these acts, Finland! I'm tired of this path of joke entries - as William said, Blind Channel and Käärijä were great. Enough is enough. No more!
Haha, your faces were amazing!😂 I personally love this song and it’s the best one so far in my opinion and perfect for Eurovision!🤟🏻 I actually think it could have been even heavier, because I’m metalhead myself, but I understand why it’s too heavy for some people.😅 Greetings from Finland!🇫🇮
"Too much??" Could easily be even more! 😂🔥 pure gold, my winner for this year!! World need more fun, more loud and more everything! Puppyyyyy for win!! 🫡🔥🤩
I'm a Finn, I've loved metal for nearly 40 years and have 8 dogs so on paper I should be on board with this 😁But I'm really torn. In a way I like that it's kinda surprising but at the same time it's still predictable in that there was bound to be a joke act and after Win95 (which I really didn't like) I'm so over it. I know people who are fans of the band say they've always done this type of stuff but to me it feels like 6 year old giggling boys wrote it to get a giggle from other 6 year olds and to "shock" others. I can see how you could headbang to it live but otherwise it's just boring and trying too hard to be edgy. If you gotta try, you're not, IMO. Cha Cha Cha was really good, I still listen to it a lot. It had a message, it had a hook, it had a great artist, it was contrary but in a good way. It felt organic. I'm all for doing your own thing rather than catering to commercialism. But it has to have something other than little boys shouting puke and poop. That just feels lazy and dumb. I can see this doing well in UMK because of the televote and because Finns love being contrary and there is a part of me that feels that too, even if this is a "song" that I don't want to hear over and over, preferably never again 😆 I can still feel that annoying Finnish "screw what people like or want" thing niggling at me. But yeah... I'd prefer a good rock song like Dark Side or a good party song like Cha Cha Cha. This is mostly just a juvenile wall of sound. Unfortunately the other songs so far, though good, haven't been fantastic, haven't hit like Dark Side and Cha Cha Cha, so this thing does have a chance of making it to ESC just by virtue of being controversial and standing out. I would just really like something with musical integrity as well, but I don't have high hopes for Erika. Hope she proves me wrong. I'm looking forward to your reaction to Goldilocks, that's been the most original entry thus far.
We're going to be hearing all these songs for like a month until the UMK show. Most jokes don't live that long, so I can only hope enough people who are now amused by Puppy will have gotten rather sick of it when it's time to vote.
Funny that William says it's not musical, because it's just very heavy rock/metal which is a type of music :). Hope you are ready to interview them once they go to eurovision because i think this is the winning song right here(Unless Erika brings a stronger song) ;)
How William badmouths everything that he finds too aggressive, that doesn't conform to his norm or his imagination! This song is simply amazing because it never gets boring and you can just vibe along the whole time
I love Rock music but sadly I am not a fan of this entry but I could see this win UMK and do well in Eurovision televotes but it won't do well with the juries
I really hope it will not, I hope majority of my fellow Finns will find it as annoying as I do and do NOT vote just for the sake of us sending song like this to Eurovision because its different from everything else. Honestly it would be huge, absolutely huge shame to send this to Eurovision when we have actually talented singers to choose from in Neea River, Viivi and Goldie + I would even let Erika Vikman get his chance to be on big stage over this.
@ I mean I dont get it why some people seem to think this song would have same kind of mass appeal that Cha Cha Cha did. It simply doesnt. Still unfortunately it wouldnt suprise me either if this would win UMK, but if it does, I hope it doesnt even qualify to finals in Eurovision, because thats what we FInns would deserve if we choose this over actually talented singers and performers like Neea Rivers, Viivi, Goldie or even Erika Vikman.
I think it’s just a bit of a shock if you’re not used to listening to this kind of thing… or rather head banging/moshing to it. As someone who enjoys throwing themselves around in a big room full of people screaming at the top of their lungs and head banging - my brain hears that music and all the associations of having a super fun time (plus endorphins cause moshing takes it out of you) light up. But if you don’t generally do that or find it fun, I can understand your brain just being like “why are people screaming?!” It’s not that the lyrics are simple - I mean slo-mo has very very simple lyrics about making a slo motion video - it’s the not connecting that sound with a Funtime in your head that throws folks.
I have different feelings about this. On the one hand i love Eurovision because it's so diverse, the cast is not as predictible as with other music shows, and their is space for fun and silliness. This is definitely the type of song that is more silly than others and therefore will be remembered. It also has catchy elements and i think it has potential to deliver an entertaining stage show. On the other hand i really want Finland to win at some point and this gives me a feeling like it's pretty calculated but not quite thought through. Like if they thought that with their music style being wierd is the only way to win UMK and do well at the contest. So they came up with the idea to just add something unexpected, something cute to their roughness, but it feels like they didn't polish their whole concept. There are still elements in the music and lyrics that could put off a majority of potential voters. I would say it's more along the lines of Windows95man wanting to qualify for the final than a potential podium finish like Käärijä. It's still interesting though, because it will stand out.
I agree with William. Horrible "song". They told they wrote the song inside just few minutes and you can really hear that it is so bad and very childish indeed. PKN was better.
Hey from Finland. This song is really...basic. we should send something else...there´s nothing much to say about the song that it is just relaying on shock value.
Sounds like they only had one morning left to write the lyrics before submission! Seriously though, this is the definition of a joke act, no sincerity, lazy lyrics (maybe in Finnish less people would have noticed), filling a third of the song with just 'la la la'. Being quirky has limits, I thought No Rules was bad but this managed to lower the bar further. A song I definitely won't be listening to in future
The question is do Finland want to laugh or win... I think so far Viivi (Aina) has the biggest potential in the actual Eurovision where the jury has a lot to say.
@@Wiwibloggs Ye unfortunately Finnish public wont ever vote for Ballad. That being said, Viivi is quite popular artist in Finland, with her own fanbase, so that could help her. Personally im fine with every other entry but this. When we have such actually talented singers and performers like Neea River, Viivi and Goldie this year, it would be huge shame and letdown if we vote for something like this over them to Eurovision.
This is so not my cup of tea. There are so many other great songs this year and I really hope we don’t choose this. The live performance can of course change my mind. Just not for me even though I usually like heavier songs and even metalcore.
I think the band is in the dog house (we call it koirankoppi in Finnish, the thing Snoopy sleeps on, the little dog house), hence the heart shaped window etc.
I am tired of just 7 songs in UMK, or maybe rather the way UMK is profiled around pop/schlager pop this year. In between the schnoozefest you have this and people wake up and on UMK selection night boom! it wins. I like "Puppy" but I dob't particularly care for any of the other songs so far. I think YLE should look in the mirror and think twice if they want UMK to be just a window to the local market or - ye, what?! This year 485 songs were sent to UMK. Are these 6/7 the best of them?! I don't believe it.
At the first listen this sounded to me mostly screaming (even though I like metal, but not screamo), but with several listens, I've actually discovered a nice melody at the back of it all, and it seems much more complex a composition than I first thought. By now, I already feel this is *epic!* And also very addictive ;D Plus it'd be the 1st time having metalcore in ESC. Erika has to bring something crazily spectacular to the table tonight if she's going to compete with this. But I'd be happy with either representing us, so living for all of this :D
I think my favourite part of this video is deban seems so conflicted by how hot they are hahahaha. William is like “TOO LOUD ME NO LIKE” and Deban is like “I would tho 👀” hahahahaha
Haha! Cruella de Ville indeed loves puppies... at UMK, this will be hilarious fun, but please not for Eurovision! Zero points from juries, and perhaps two from the public (screamo is very niche taste, and won't go down well with most of the audience, when you look at the music culture in the various different countries).
Oh, I knew you wouldn’t like this one. But I still admire your effort to say at least something positive about every song. I love this, btw! 😂 And I love you as well! ❤
I love how you give your opinions, allways so interesting to hear what you two think! I personally don't like this song but it has a big chance of winning because of the voting system yeah. I will be voting for something else for sure.
Similar to their 'Neon Highway' good feeling 80s synth noise song would definitely have been more Eurovision friendly-especially with a bit less noise. I would even go as far as claiming that they weren't seriously in for the UMK competition. How they made it to the UMK final is kinda strange, in fact. Feels almost like UMK is trolling the competition itself. Last year Sara Siipola did poorly on UMK live stage-at least on the TV screen-and on the other hand Windows95man didn't do as well in the Eurovision stage as he did in the UMK live stage. Unlike E.g. the Käärijä's live show, Windows95man's didn't evolve and go big when they went to the Eurovision stage. They rather toned down the act than went big with it, which was disappointing. And the business with the logo getting censored midway through the competition process seems strange still. Would seem logical and fair for everyone that the national level and Eurovision level would be on the same page about the rules right from the start. If the act is about a guy flying with wings and the wings get clipped off, because you can't have wings on Eurovision stage, it kinda damages the act and its chances to be successful in the competition. Also the "Is he nude on stage??" debate was downright bizarre. A bit unlikely that someone would run around on stage waving his thing. That's unheard of even in Finland, thank you very much. Seemed almost like a deliberate way to dismiss the entry by talking rubbish about it. Especially when there are numerous artists on the stage showing more actual skin and doing all sort of things with their body parts at the same event-but I guess that was part of the issue.
Hi, finn here. We love this stuff, and depending on how many rock songs there are in Eurovision this year, which doesn't seem like a lot. Puppy could do really well.
Lord of the Lost was last (and didn't need to qualify, so we don't know if it had). The band is big enough anyway, and it gave them new listeners, but still. Screamo turns people off. If you look at the demographics in many of the voting countries, it would not do that well. This doesn't fall in the the normal 'rock' or 'metal' category (like Blind Channel being pretty accessible nu metal). Puppy tries to ride on the back of Cha Cha Cha, Joost Klein, Electric Callboy, but the audience is still limited when you look at the average Eurovision voter. It is simply not another Käärijä-success, and I doubt it would make it as high as even W95M.
@@tanjanikola9489 Lord of the lost doing badly was because Käärijä hoovered up all rock votes so there wasn't enough to go around for all the other 4 rock songs to get points. So Voyager and Lord of the lost were the 2 that had the worst faith.
Noup, we don’t love this. I’d say only 20% of finns think this is good, rest 80% think this is pure 💩 I don’t know anyone who likes this. Käärijällä luvut oli alusta asti just toistepäin. Jos vertailee suhteessa nega- ja pos-kommenttien määrään.
@@Masaim6 That was definitely also a factor. It should have got some of the lower points though. If I remember right, Finland gave 6 points to LOTL (I voted for them). Käärijä got points from all kinds of people (12 points from 18 countries, so that is definitely not just rock fans). Whilst Käärijä's songs have some heavy guitars and heavy rapping, the songs are super accessible to the wide audiences (in Finland toddlers, their parents and grandparents are fans, and Käärijä has some gigs open to kids as well). LOTL is not quite as accessible to the masses in all these different cultures. Voyager was a bit easier.
That's mildly and nice put about 2015: not so musical?😅2015 Finland was awfull roaring and Finns selected only because disabled thing. They just didn't understand, it wont work. Earned not better than SF last place. This isn't even much better.
Get used to it, William 😅 Unless Erika Vikman delivers something insane and a total banger, we finns will vote for this. Erika is not the best stageperformer, she is usually very stiff and kinda akward with her moving around, so if OML delivers on stage, this will be it!
I mean I definitely clicked on this knowing I was rage baiting myself 🤣 the comment about Finnish sauna just shows a blatant lack of understanding about Finnish culture- because sauna in Finland is anything but sexual haha. Honestly as a metal head, I can tell you in the scheme of things, this is not very heavy at all. The style is VERY similar to electric callboy (who you pretty much made change their name haha)- they built a global fanbase of millions with music very similar to this, with similarly silly lyrics. This entry is not a joke, it’s a really solid metal core song. It’s funny you dismiss the lyrics and compare it to Käärijä and say cha cha cha was a “journey” when the lyrics of that translated to basically “when I get drunk I have fun and dance” 🤣- it’s even funnier that you said that you’d like it better in Finnish because you wouldn’t understand 🤣 As a metal head who loves Eurovision it does get exhausting having people overlook such a diverse genre and dismiss it as a “joke”.
Almost no one cares about the eurovision results, UMK has higher views than eurovision final does. I was out laughing the first minute completely. I'll be shocked if this doesn't win
Now for me there's no reason to watch that show at all. Only competitioner, which for me would have been the only reason to watch it is out of competition.

Thank you for sharing your analysis!
Haha watching William slowly dying inside
I love this song! It has so many good elements. I hope they (or Erika) win!
Puppies are adorable. Let's see what happens.
Interesting analysis. Thanks for sharing!
No more!
pour une fois qu'un pays amène une pate personnelle et tient sa pate personnelle...
Haha, your faces were amazing!😂 I personally love this song and it’s the best one so far in my opinion and perfect for Eurovision!🤟🏻 I actually think it could have been even heavier, because I’m metalhead myself, but I understand why it’s too heavy for some people.😅
Greetings from Finland!🇫🇮
"Too much??" Could easily be even more! 😂🔥 pure gold, my winner for this year!! World need more fun, more loud and more everything! Puppyyyyy for win!! 🫡🔥🤩
They are so jealous because they wants Erika win :) they do for a purpose. They already know this is a big competitive entry. !
Oh of course we're ready to interview them. Let's go. Disliking a song isn't the same as disliking people.
Can't wait for your reaction to Goldielocks - Made Of
It's crazy, it's puppy!
🤣🤣🤣 🐶
I 100% understand why some people love this….. but I absolutely cannot stand it 😭😭😂😂
How William badmouths everything that he finds too aggressive, that doesn't conform to his norm or his imagination!
This song is simply amazing because it never gets boring and you can just vibe along the whole time
I'm Finnish and I just don't like it
Please make sure to vote for Erika or someone else we seriously do not need this rubbish in Eurovision
I love Rock music but sadly I am not a fan of this entry but I could see this win UMK and do well in Eurovision televotes but it won't do well with the juries
My winner from spain
This is basically guaranteed to win UMK with their voting system, and it's coming TOP10 at eurovision mark my words
I think its gonna repeat of last year for finland
I wouldn't be surprised if it wins UMK, but it has no chance winning ESC. Even Cha Cha Cha couldn't win.
It will come bottom 5, mark my words
William, I totally agree with you 100%.
Thank you for watching! Can’t wait to see this and the other entries live. Who knows what will happen 🤷🏻♂️
UMK just kicked them out from the competion
Awful song and I tend to like humour
I think it’s just a bit of a shock if you’re not used to listening to this kind of thing… or rather head banging/moshing to it.
As someone who enjoys throwing themselves around in a big room full of people screaming at the top of their lungs and head banging - my brain hears that music and all the associations of having a super fun time (plus endorphins cause moshing takes it out of you) light up.
But if you don’t generally do that or find it fun, I can understand your brain just being like “why are people screaming?!”
It’s not that the lyrics are simple - I mean slo-mo has very very simple lyrics about making a slo motion video - it’s the not connecting that sound with a Funtime in your head that throws folks.
Horrible.
You dont cuddle in a finnish sauna. Come on now.
And this was an outhouse, not a sauna.
I agree with William. Horrible "song". They told they wrote the song inside just few minutes and you can really hear that it is so bad and very childish indeed. PKN was better.
I love that the lyrics are so child like and so opposed to the musical tone. Living for this. 🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮
An interesting juxtaposition!
Oh no
Hey from Finland.
I suspect she will do better with the jury than Puppy. But Finland is always full of surprises so let’s see!
At least it's not boring. It WILL be remembered. Loving your different approaches, William absolutely fed up and Deban getting all naughty. 😅
Well, you can be remembered for pooping your pants in public too? Being remembered doesn't automatically equate to success.
Yes, remembered in a bad way. The song is just bad bad bad.
I love this song so much ❤
This is so not my cup of tea. There are so many other great songs this year and I really hope we don’t choose this. The live performance can of course change my mind. Just not for me even though I usually like heavier songs and even metalcore.
Winner 😊
It seems to have a great shot.
I can see u're cat person.... I fckng love this song!!!!! Full mayhem and chaos from start to the end 🤩🤩
Winner !!!
This song was so bad. If this somehow wins UMK... the Eurovision boycott can last for 1 another year.
I love it, best song so far! 😍
Who doesn't love a puppy. 🥰
Lordi vibes, love it 😂🎉
They should win UMK just for William 💞💞
At the first listen this sounded to me mostly screaming (even though I like metal, but not screamo), but with several listens, I've actually discovered a nice melody at the back of it all, and it seems much more complex a composition than I first thought. By now, I already feel this is *epic!* And also very addictive ;D Plus it'd be the 1st time having metalcore in ESC. Erika has to bring something crazily spectacular to the table tonight if she's going to compete with this. But I'd be happy with either representing us, so living for all of this :D
Wrong. Hungary 2018 is also metalcore actually, and 100x better without the cringey lyrics
Hope that song win! Love From Sweden ❤
On the other hand, the year when Erika Vikman was supposed to win, she lost due to the jury vote.
To be fair she wouldn't have won even in the new system either if the lines were still open after the Jury vote.
This is also too heavy for me. 😅
I hope they win. It is so random but so good. We needed this energy.
They just got kicked out from the competition.
"If it's too loud, you're too old!"😂
William discovered the genre of metalcore! How wonderful
I think my favourite part of this video is deban seems so conflicted by how hot they are hahahaha. William is like “TOO LOUD ME NO LIKE” and Deban is like “I would tho 👀” hahahahaha
Polarizing…the contrast between the Wiwi reaction and RoyPM’s channel could not be more stark!!! Could this be another Lordi surprise?
Ahh I feel you, William. Exactly my reaction when hearing this for the first time. Just cringe and too loud. Hopefully we won't be sending this.
I actually like this and really hope it goes to Eurovision this year
At first i hated it now i like it
I love how you give your opinions, allways so interesting to hear what you two think! I personally don't like this song but it has a big chance of winning because of the voting system yeah. I will be voting for something else for sure.
This is so bad its brilliant....Can it win Eurovison 25 if it gets through, not a chance. The juries will crucify it......puppy puppy puppy!
I love this song and I don´t think that it´s a joke entry. I also think that it could absolutely win UMK.
@@tanjanikola9489 But Voyager also didn't get almost any televote points.
It’s wild that people who don’t like metal will come out and treat everything that’s slightly heavy as if it’s Dustin the turkey 🤣🤣🤣
When there is no screeming it is like my superhero rob from last year Melodi Gran Prix
That's mildly and nice put about 2015: not so musical?😅2015 Finland was awfull roaring and Finns selected only because disabled thing. They just didn't understand, it wont work. Earned not better than SF last place. This isn't even much better.
So happy that thos song isnt in umk this year.
I love this song ❤
This is souuuuuuuuu gooooood🎉🦾😍❤️🔉🎶🎵🎼💞👌💪👊🧡👑
Poor William, he's traumatized by all the cute aggression
Lets face it there is something wrong with people who dont like puppies... ;-) Sure qualifier but bottom right column in the final.
thank you William! I just agree with you
🤣 papiii!!
To be honest, I think WE should be in charge about disqualifying Eurovision artists.
Want rebel? Let's... Komme together?
