I literally wanted to hold and comfort this woman, soothe the little girl inside her who was hurting.
Gabor Mate’ is such a compassionate healer, he’s like Brené Brown on fast forward. Love them both and would love to see the two of them present together because both are wholehearted human beings.
    Bravo, Gabor!!

Early Trauma staying in the body makes a lot of sense. I remember during the afterglow of my first acid trip (which was really quite challenging) I sat outside and watched the clouds moving and it was such a profound beautiful surreal transcendent experience, and for the first time in my life my body felt light. Like I could breathe again and the trauma had lifted. Ik this is a tangent and it all came back with time of course, but that lightness I felt was probably the universe giving me a glimpse of what true healing would be like, thus motivating me to strive towards it.

Hey Parsley. I feel you on that one. I love how you put this kind of profound experience into words.
I’ve experienced moments like these too. Even though they were short lasted. I always felt like this is my true nature. This is where I came from, and this is where I’ll be again one day :)

I had a shroom trip once where I spent almost the entire trip crying and working out repressed anxiety and trauma in my body. It...was not as fun as your trip lol, but also a good example of how psychedelics can be powerful therepeutic tools.

Thanks,Gabor. In some cultures (middle eastern,Turkey) people would be abused by family and others and they would abuse others. And they would look arrogant and proud by themselves. If you question or show feelings you are the weird one.I am wondering how do these people feel inside really?.I asked these questions in my culture but obviously they pretended like they dont know what I am talking about.Any input, please.

As someone who experienced this from my background I can give you my observation on family abuse. Being Eastern European it comes to no surprise that families who hide feelings and do not encourage full self expression are simply unable to feel that part of themselves as they have been also robbed from that freedom, hence why it gets passed on to the kids throughout generations. The environment plays a massive role and the only way to survive in places like the middle east or Turkey is to be able to NOT show any form of weakness or emotion, as a self-protective mechanism, which is ingrained in humans biologically to survive. This trauma stems from many generations and reversing this is almost impossible because it is imbedded in the culture and politics that influenced generations to think and act a certain way, certainly the environment plays a big role, you only have to look at how covid was able to stand between society and ultimately divided us. This is what the leaders and narcissist's want for the population, control, and these people also lack self awareness and compassion due to their own predispositions and as Gabor mentioned in one of his talks, humans were capable to show care and feelings towards one another, but that was before civilizations happened, when we were hunter gatherers and lived in small tribes. We have not evolved to these current climate conditions, certainly over the last 20 years a lot has changed and our brains simply cannot comprehend and adapt quickly enough. Only way of healing is to work hard on yourself and show empathy and compassion for others for the sake of YOURSELF as well, understand and try to work out your own emotions through COMPASSIONATE ENQUIRY and you will become more connected with yourself and by default be a beacon of light for others to follow.

Forgive them. Yeah I know, but if you can find it in your heart, then give them the love. God will take care of it

as I watch this video, here's what arises in me...
    pain, pain, pain.
    paralyzing emotional pain.
    crippling.
I'm an INFJ, an Old Soul, an empath,
    with severe C-PTSD,
minor SPD, and some OCD tendencies.
this makes living in this world,
    on this planet, extremely hard.
I have diabetes, I have a debilitating back injury.
I have never had a friend.
I have never been in a relationship.
all of this makes me wish to die.
    I can't bear it.
