From one older metalhead to another, I try not to project my musical cynicism onto BTS like I would with other bands. While this track was meant to just be a fun little disco/funk pop song, they do have a lot to offer musically/lyrically if you dig into their discography. It's dark as hell a lot of the time
In my older age, I've learned to just have fun and appreciate a good vibe. BTS helped bring me to that point 🤘
Same. Never thought I'd like a K-pop band, ahahah, I'm very into metal myself (but not to the point of being a metalhead I think), but BTS is just something. If someone can pull a metal inspired tune out of their bag of k-pop, it's them O_o
@@slayra So you havent meet Dreamcatcher yet, right? If metal and kpop are going to be in the same sentence Dreamcatcher has to be there too.
Bts are more hip hop than rock, not saying that they cant do a more "rock" sound but hip hop more their style.
How many BTS songs have you listened to? V does R&B, Suga and RM have put out a ton of rap songs, they have some indie style songs and some Pop, Hip Hop. It’s very hard to pigeon hole this group if you’ve heard their entire discography.

And of course I know that BTS is not rock at all, just saying they could probably incorporate some rock in one of their songs flawlessly without their fanbase being too shocked. And I think they could pull it off too. Hoseok can do a pretty grunge-type, throaty voice. No Jimin in that song, tho. xD
@@seattle8686 me? Mostly all their title tracks and 2 or 3 albums. I do like more their hip hop/rap songs but is because is the style of music I enjoy more. Not a fan or their pop kind of songs. But I know they can have a variety of styles.
I was a metal head too.. i love Parkway Drive and as i lay dying etc.... but i became an ARMY 2 years ago, and i cant stop listen to their music.. i love them not because of their looks but because of their lyrics, so positive and good.... im 34 years old btw... thank you for your reaction

Thanks for reacting. Dynamite is an homage to 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and yes MJ! “Dynamite” is their first full English language song, they usually sing mix of Korean and English. They have Japanese albums too. Dynamite is Just all about good vibes, and BTS said it’s just a fun song to be enjoyed to bring joy during C19. BTS has a wide discography of music and covers different genres: hip hop, rap, R&B, pop, rock, edm, trap, latin, jazz, folk/alternative, classical, and even country! They’re very versatile, and have something for everyone. I usually gravitate towards their rap, hiphop,R&B and indie/rock tracks, but I can’t help but dance to Dynamite! They are involved with writing and producing their songs too. Their lyrics are really deep and cover topics like socio-political issues, mental health awareness, self-love, psychology, philosophy, literature. BTS are great performers. Their live performances are on another level too. Like Michael Jackson level amazing. They also tied the Beatles’ for most #1 albums in a year and beat Adele’s 5 year record of most #1’s on iTunes and beat one of MJ’s 36 year old records- Crazy! BTS is made of 3 rappers (RM, Suga,JHope) and 4 singers (Jin,V,Jimin,Jungkook) and started out as hip hop group and 2 of their 3 rappers were well known in underground rap before they joined BTS. If you want to get a real taste of their range, check out these songs! “ON Kinetic Manifesto Film”, “Fake Love”, “Black Swan”, “Mic Drop”, “Not Today” and “Fire”, “Daechwita” (Suga/AgustD’s solo) MV’s. The members also have their own solos on albums and solo projects and mixtapes. BTS is on another level compared to other boy groups since they sing, rap and dance (allot of boy bands of the past don’t rap and weren’t highly skilled dancers) - BTS are triple threat next level amazing!

It is great that you are honest about your likes and dislikes, we don’t mind you not liking a song as long as you don’t disrespect the guys .They don’t do much if any heavy metal, Kpop isn’t really into that but it is very diverse with genres and l’m sure you will find a few songs to your taste. Sometimes it just takes time to get used to the different way of presenting music. Their music has messages of hope and understanding,that we really connect with.

i turned my nose up at BTS for a looooooong time because they were so different from the music i listened to and thought was my taste. you know what actually made me open myself to their music? it wasn't their music at all -- that came second. it was watching them play "flinch" on james corden. i had a laugh and realized, oh shit, they're in the most successful band in the world right now and ... they're just ... doofy guys in their 20s. and suddenly my walls came down and i explored their music and learned their story and how they approach their craft, and they're so good, guys. they're SO good. if you're looking for a song with lyrical substance, i know you're on a "new music only" thing, but maybe privately check out "Spring Day" and then the explanation video for it. it's a big deal.

Tae is defo coming to wreck every armys bias and bias wreckers lists especially with that smile at the end, also my Jiminie i still cant get over him and that ‘finger bang’ he does he owns it, also the way he looks into the camera and stares into your soul and heart. Also ther dancing and vocals (especially the raplines as i wasnt expecting them to not rap at all) and attitude they give off is just perfect. Also for being their very first song fully in english just goes to show that they have improved alot (from what i have heard and read Korean is easier to learn than english).
Also the fact that every Army right now is being biased wrecked by every member including their bias just goes to show how perfect and amazing these guys are and that they do such an amazing job with what they do as well

By the time I wrote this comment BTS has just won 4 VMAs for best kpop and for On kinetic manifesto. On the same night BTS debuted Dynamite live on the VMAs,it hit the Billboard Top 100 charts at #1. Although they have had other songs in the top 100, this is the first #1. It is impossible to place them in a category their music spans all genres of music. Lyrics are the important part. It is what grabbed me 3 years. I have not looked back since. I still mix my metal and other music in to my Playlist. But it has become predominantly BTS now and the more they come out with stuff like this the fuller my Playlist gets. No regrets.

Im commenting just so i can see the blue hair rofl and im not sure what u reacted too the first time but BTS are so diverse there is something in their discography that suits almost everybody. Also the first song would have had some english but mainly in Korean thats the norm.

Their everyday fashion is really different from the style of the mv. All the members have their own unique style. Like one member usually wears a lot of black clothes and baggy shirts.

I think you may gonna like BTS Fake Love n dionysus. Its rock hip hop songs. They do have alot of rock influence in their songs like war of hormone, boy in luv, danger, etc. BTS are so versatile.

Hmm. They are globally famous as a great performance and entertainer.. every song have a message instead of great music of course but the message is bout selflove, appeeciate ourself..
They are very lucky as they develop and guide under the bighit entertainment (mr. Bang PD) from the very beginning..
Most their songs about mental health, have a great message and mostly they, especially RM, SUGA,JHOPE always involved with the songs whether its music, deep meaning lyrics, LIT dance coreography or even producing itself!! Love both of your reaction!!
