The next on my list is of Young Peril and Scarlet, will be shorter since the section of the song that I chose which fits the theme is short.

@Clover Jane yes, I agree..BUT Moon wasn’t the smartest about the situation. She couldn’t see past Qibli’s selfish mask (you can see this in his book and turtle’s when he wanted turtle to make him an animus: he thought something along the lines of ‘if I was an animus I’d make everyone like me.’ Idk tho) but being a mind reader, you should be able to see past that.

Well, I don't think Moon read his mind and knew about it.. I haven't read any of the books (chapter) in a while. Moon seems to have a little bit of something for Winter. I also believe later on in the book, and a little bit in Winter Turning, (SPOILER ALERT!!) Moon seemed to approach Winter more and cherish him. I honestly don't think Quibli (I keep forgetting how to spell it-) is right for Moon. Once again, I haven't read the books in a while but I believe she hasn't spoken with Quibli as much as Winter. Sorry if you don't agree, but this is my personal opinion.

I see what you mean but I don’t think that that was necessarily all for moon- I might be wrong though bc it’s been a bit since I read his book.
Kade the Cat I would say that another reason would be because of Foeslayer, but, he then still went back to find Moon. He most likely didn’t kill Foeslayer because since Moon is a nightwing, he didn’t want to hurt a nightwing who looked or potentially acted like her. But that part is just what I think.

Oh gosh, I haven't read Winter Coming in 2 years, but that town he lives in now Possibly(Possibility?) Contains hybrids doesn't it? If I'm right, he'll probably end up with someone who also has an interest in scavengers, someone he already met, or a random dragon

I really wish Winterwatcher could have happened, because I feel like their relationship could have been like some sort of redemption for the complications between Arctic and Foeslayer; like, this time, they'd make their family right, and they'd figure things out instead of growing violent.
But at the same time, I don't want Qibli to be alone... I think it'd have been better if Qibli found someone else so Winterwatcher could be a thing.
to be quite honest, I can see qibli getting over it quicker than winter, considering how winter was a lot more fragile at the time-

I like all the ships in the moon/winter/qibli triangle, but tui really shouldn't have given winterwatcher as much development as she did of she was going to have moon pick qibli in the end, her choosing him just sorta came outta nowhere lmao

No it didn’t! In fact, I think the Moonbli development was even more fleshed out than the Winterwatcher one. The thing is that the development was in a flashback of possibility instead of real time like Winter’s
I feel like Moon only went with Qibli cuz he was the main character in the book when loose ends were being tied. How often do you see a main character not get the girl?
And this is why I stick with one main character in my stories so I don't end up developing something and then leaving it to rust when it's someone else's turn.
Actually Moon and Qibli's relationship started in book 6 and steadily developed through the rest of the books while winter's and Moon's has much less development but is highlighted so it's much easier to notice.

Legit almost made me cry, Winterwatcher is my favorite ship and it makes me sad that the books never made it official, but this was amazing and the music made it all better.
I've always wanted Winterwatcher because I thought it would be great for character development and I just think they would be really really cute together, moon could soften winter and winter could teach her how to defend herself.

the fact that what Winter is telling Moon, is how he actually feels without her knowing is so sad. After reading books 6 and 7 I started to understand this ship more and why Winter feels the way he does about it feeling wrong to love her, but still constantly thinking about her and caring for her, as well as going far enough to leave his kingdom and rankings behind all for her. I love Winter sm, hes honestly really relateable and i just feel so bad for him

Can we just appreciate the fact that they made an ENTIRE ANIMATIC without skimping out on any of the details (scales, teeth, horns)?! Like I'm an amatuer animator and I know how difficult it is to keep going with such complex designs. I'm sorry I just appreciate this so much more than I can explain
I can totally imagine that Moon thought Winter was talking about Qibli rather than him, which is kinda sad. but I still this is amazing, and it makes total sense.

I personally think Winter deserved Moon more, he sacrificed his own place in his tribe, he gave up his dignity that he held for years, he felt feelings for Moon knowing NightWings were hated in his tribe, even whilst he was fighting for his life and place he couldn’t stop thinking about her. But then she gets with Qibli, what has he done that’s so great for her?
I’m still completely torn between Winterwatcher and Moonli. Like Moon and Qibli get each other really well, but it breaks my heart that Winter was left behind. It’s so hard to decide, some days I lean toward Winterwatcher and other days I lean toward Moonli. Either way, this was a beautiful animatic, and I’m in love with it.
Ugh, finally somebody gets it. Winter deserved better.
Also, I know Winter was pretty mean in book 10, but a lot of the stuff he did (trying to protect his tribe instead of being near Moon) was the same kind of stuff Qibli did earlier in the book, and yet Tui treats Winter like a villain and Qibli like some hero when he had very little character development compared to Winter. And she missed an opportunity to support her main theme, that dragons of different tribes can and should be together. Granted, Qibli and Moon are also from different tribes, but the Icewings and Nightwings are the ones with the most hatred between them, and so instead of saying it doesn’t always have to be that way, Winter isn’t able to overcome his anxiety and fear and the only Night-Ice ship in canon ended in war. And growing up, Winter was the first character in anything I read that had anxiety like I do. And then he got this treatment. I just feel like Tui rushed to finish the second arc in five books instead of letting it go on, and she made a lot of bad decisions in the process. (If you ask me, Qibli should’ve gone evil when Darkstalker offered him magic. It would’ve made sense with his character. But no, instead he’s a Gary Stu who I will always have nothing but resentment for. This hurts so much I can’t even appreciate Moon anymore. I was honestly going to quit this series... and then Winter got confirmed for the next book. I’m sure he’ll only be mentioned briefly. Man this series is torture. Winter will always be one of my favorite characters of all time, though. I’m just glad I’ve found characters in newer things who have anxiety problems and aren’t thrown to the side of road like me and my ex-prince.)
Aaa I can’t stop watching this, it’s so wonderful! The consistency of the detail is really good, and I love the way you draw dragons! I love this so much, and the song (which is one of my favorite songs) fits so well!

The dragon anatomy and how NICE it fell together omg- Although I have never read the book, (I know ya'll gonna yell at me but you really can't blame me when I see a BOOTIFUL animatic randomly in my recommends) it makes me wanna sonic speed to the bookstore.
shuwaffie Thx! And yes, you should read the series. You can just read at least the first novel or its graphic novel/comic adaptation and get your opinion on the series. But its gets better in later books. There’s like 13 books, 14 in March 2021, and th 4th novel comic adaptation coming out at the end of December of this year. I love Winter, at first I didn’t, then when I read his book it made my heart melt. He really is a big softie under all of that Ice. It makes me so sad. I love Winter and I want the best for him. This is exactly how I image Winter, Lonely, scared, unsure, and loving. I hope he gets someone who deserves him.
Even in the sixth book, I always knew Winter could be good, especially when he went against Icicle and saved Moon and Starflight. But his POV/book... it just made me so sad, he could have been a much better dragon if... as moon said- some dragons are just hatched in the wrong tribe.. 😭😭

But this was a truly fabulous animatic, it flows so smoothly, the expressions are so genuine and the song, despite being a bit AU, still fits with the characters.

0:42 the scene with the teen magazines is just adorable, though thinking about it, I think she might do that /after/ she lets them know she's a mindreader because she's trying to learn subtle stuff?
1:26 The contrast of black and white, icewing/nightwing for "but we're a million miles apart" is excellent use of the medium, and a very apt metaphor.
2:11 Honestly, the drumming scene was one of my favorites in moon's book; props to finding a way to draw a four-legged creature dancing without looking cartoonish or cheesy.
2:50 oof, you did an incredible job with the facial expressions for Winter here, it really gets to me the pain he's feeling with his apprehension.
3:30 The use of color in these parts, an especially that last panel really paints a troubled feeling for the viewer, ending with a very bittersweet moment.
Shoulda been endgame. Winter deserved a happy ending.

I dont get why people think Winter x Moon is just gonna be another Arctic x Foeslayer, Winter has so much space to grow, Qibli’s book and Winter’s book should switch because we should see Winter getting a bigger chance to improve from being a asshole to someone like Qibli. He wasn’t even abusive, yeah he screamed at her but only like 2 times. Plus, Moon wasn’t that smart at the situation, she wasn’t able to see past Qibli’s selfish mask, he literally tried getting Turtle to make him an animus. Plus, alot of people are trying to make others think Winter’s a bad person. Sure he was mean but he had a heart that was just frozen, Moon had the chance to slowly crack the ice and let his golden heart be shown.
