This is exactly what my son's did. They started growing it out during the shutdown & decided to grow it out to donate. They donated in March one donated 21 inches & one donated 19!

I watched your channel like 7 years ago when you started Hercules Candies on the No Egg Craig channel. And I loved watching and I was such a huge fan of both! Life got a little crazy for me for a while and I stopped watching maybe a few years ago. But I have recently started watching again and have been playing back all the old videos and catching up on all the ones I missed. And boy, have I missed them!

Kara called it...'stylin'. Kudos for doing this; I've donated my long hair twice. Now that I'm a lady of a certain age ☺️ it grows too slowly and I only trim it twice a year. Such a noble cause if you can do it. 🤍

My son &i donated to wigs for kids twice! I love that they accept color treated hair too, as long as its healthy!
interesting, I didn't know that they accepted colored hair!
They don't accept color treated hair ,never have ,it can't be made into wigs
I donated after Covid. With everything closed I let my hair grow and donated over 20 inches. It’s a great organization.

Thank you ! Thank you there is kids out there or adult who would appreciate it I thought about getting a wig when I went through my chemo but I decided not o that way other people could receive one I was fine with a wrap or nothing I got used too it but some people are more comfortable with a wig

Looks good. I like it. My youngest daughter did this too. We got approx 12-13 inches from her hair and after it was cut and styled, it still reached her shoulders.

Just a quick FYI - no hate or saltiness! But I personally don’t know of a hairstylist who will donate the hair for u…we are more than happy to braid it & bag it after cutting - always on the house. We leave it up to the client to send it to whatever charity they wish…cuz honestly, no one really knows which ones are rad & which suck - like my then-10 year donated a ton of hair to Locks of Love - I was crushed when I found out they charge & throw a lot of hair out.

Thanks for making this, Craig. I just got my hair cut yesterday and plan on donating it. It was past my collar bone. I miss how it felt but I think I look much better with it short. There's a sense of loss I feel. This video helps me feel better about it because you look so happy after your cut.
Thank you for doing this. Wigs for kids do cancer kids but Locks for Love do not- so LOVE LOVE LOVE that you are doing this with them. My son had cancer and his best friend started growing out his hair to donate and it was a great moment for them to share. It is people like you that keep our faith in humanity.

You know what when my kid was getting their hair cut, they are ginger, and it was long and thick, I tried to find a way to donate it and NO one would take it!!

I used Pink Hearts Fund. I'm growing now to do a 3rd send in. I think they just increased the length requirements. They do child wigs and breast cancer wigs and prosthetics.

I remember when I had long hair (in the 90’s) when I finally went to get it cut off the hairdresser was super worried about doing it as it had been growing 6 years that I had to take her scissors and cut the pony tail off myself.

I started growing my hair out about a year after you did, I'm hoping I can tough it out for another year and a half and get a nice donation.
Im almost at the point where all of my hair can be pulled back with 1 hair tie and not have to worry about the little straglers coming out
You're at the tail end of the awkward stage haha, it actually gets easier to maintain after that!

Good job, Craig. I donated my hair in 2016 and again in 2022. First time she took care of everything. The second time I had to send it out. Something about the beautician is not allowed to any more. Some federal rule.
