Taiwanese here. Roll the pancake with braised beef and cucumber with sweet garlic soy sauce or fry an egg on top is the way to eat it. Would not recommend air frying them, makes them too dry. Love your haul as always Katie.
I think the spicy homey would be great on roasted veggies. Like Brussels sprouts , some spicy glazed carrots. You could drizzle some over certain pizza’s...like Canadian bacon and pineapple would be great on.
That blueberry cheesecake ice cream looks good, can’t wait to try it. Try drizzling the spicy honey sauce on a gourmet pizza w some pepperoni/prosciutto/etc, cheese like burrata, basil
I make the green onion pancakes in the air fryer all the time. It’s already super greasy, so no need to add oil. Comes out delicious for about 6 minutes at 350 flipped halfway through cooking. Also add an egg, white rice and a smoothie on the side, for the ultimate savory Asian inspired breakfast. The older version of this at Trader Joe’s was called Scallion Pancakes (pa jeon) in the freezer section. Not dry at all after air frying.
Hope you had a great time at the wedding! The Taiwanese green onion pancake is really good. I fried it in oil, but hope it does great in your air fryer test. I was excited to see Cape gooseberries at my store and they are so good I wish I'd bought several packs. I missed seeing the new icecream and other treats, but it sounds delicious.
The cinnamon Toscano cheese that comes out in the fall is my FAVORITE. So so good! I like to put it on the raisin and rosemary crisps with a bit of fig jam on top. Delicious combo. Also great with goat cheese.
Oh wow! This is a good haul 🤩 I can’t wait to go this weekend. I can imagine that chili honey would be amazing on some fried chicken or wings omgggggg 🤤
@@KatieHespe I am and the organic brown rice thins were a lifesaver. I could only open my mouth less than an inch the first week. Went through a pack of them and the dark chocolate half coated ones. I love that I get what’s new with you on Friday, see the taste test Saturday, and have my list ready for my husband on Sunday. You have made our grocery shopping so much more efficient❣️ And DELICIOUS. I am definitely going to buy an air fryer and that deal was sealed after seeing the Taiwan onion pancakes in the taste test. Thank you so much Katie for sharing your wonderful family, LOVED seeing Benson give the dogs treats❣️🥰 And The 2nd dog, I think her name is Luna? Her smile was priceless. 🐶🥰💞🙏🏻
Okay that was a HUGE haul, Katie! So many new and seasonal products, I"m excited to go shopping I'm super interested to see what you all think of the Onion pancakes and the ice cream in the taste test. I'm getting the Buzz chocolate bars no matter what!
I cannot wait for the taste test! The green onion pancakes would be so good dipped in Coconut aminos and sesame oil. I have tried Mike's hot honey and always have it on pizza or eggs so definitely going to pick up this hot honey sauce. Also dying to try the Arepas but waiting for them to show up at my TJ's
I love the Beefless Ground with the Enchilada Sauce as well. As a Vegan, they are a staple in my kitchen. I make tacos using the Carb Savvy Tortillas since I am also Low Carb. I add some shredded vegan cheese and avocado, top with fresh 💃 salsa. Yum! I enjoy at least 3 or 4 times a week.
I made a curry chicken salad sandwich with the hot honey! I use plain Greek yogurt for the base. I added some curry, salt and pepper, whatever herbs you like, and a squirt of the hot honey. I then added shredded chicken and toasted nuts (I’ve tried both almonds and pecans), and ate it in a wrap with some spinach and thin sliced cucumbers. Delish! I’ve also added mustard to the sauce too because I’m a mustard fiend lol.
Just went to TJ's earlier this week and discovered that the lemon chess pie is addictive! It didn't last long in my home. 😍 Will try the cheesecake cones soon. Love the Ube ice cream too.
Not sure if you will mention this (still watching) I saw that the Watermelon Mint Tea bags have new packaging. Every summer, I stock up and almost overlooked it because I was looking for the signature tin. It's now packaged in a box. Same number of tea bags (20) but 1oz less in wt. I compared the ingredients, they removed the (s). So for example, natural flavor instead of natural flavors. Oops... okay, you just mentioned it! Lol
Changing the packaging from that lovely little tin to an ordinary cardboard box is, as Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman would say, "Big Mistake. Big. Huge!" Of course I'll still buy it but maybe not as often as I did in the last couple of years. I love the tea but some of the charm that made $4.99 seem almost reasonable is gone. 😂
@@88keys65 I totally agree. I felt like I was paying a justifiable upcharge for the tin canister. Now it's just expensive tea bags. I really enjoy the tea but I can't see myself stocking up on it now in the box. The box won't protect my treasures like the tin can!
My Top 5 Uses for the Spicy Honey Sauce: • Mix with mustard and use on pretzels or as a salmon glaze • Add sweetness and heat to hot or iced teas (amazing with the Watermelon Mint tea iced, im telling you... thank me later) • Top your yogurt parfaits with a drizzle. The spice goes great with the mega strawberries that are currently being sold at my TJs • If you make your own coleslaw, sub the sugar with the spicy honey. • Here's the unconventional one buy I'm telling you, you will TOTALLY thank me later... lip moisturizer! Yaaas. Conveniently in a squeeze bottle just a little less than pea sized amount on the finger and rubbed on bare lips. Rub rub rub then lick it off. Soft lips 💋
Hey Katie - I have an idea for a future video. Would love to see you share some of your best air fryer vegetable recipes. We recently got an air fryer and we are upping our vegetable intake and would love your suggestions! Thanks!
I'm curious what the hype for the lite mozz is?? I seriously can't wait for samples to come back at TJs! Any word on that? Love your hauls as always! ❤️
Although that berry cheesecake ice cream looks delicious, I don’t dare buy it. I have no self-control, and I’d eat the whole container in one sitting! I did notice your broadcast was much clearer today. Thought it was your make-up. Either that, or you were just naturally glowing more than usual today. Now I’m heading over to watch the taste test. 😃
Got the pimento dip. Weird. It would seem like the dip would be more creamy and the spread thicker. But it’s backwards. I like the dip much better! It’s REALLY good!
This is a stock item for me! Yes air fryer for sure. These are delicious with hoisin sauce-also available at TJ's i think. Otherwise any store that carries teriyaki & other oriental sauces will have it.
Great haul, Katie, but I need to vent for a sec so I apologize in advance. It's very seldom that TJ's disappoints me but today is an exception. Whoever made the decision to change the Mint-Watermelon tea from a tin to a cardboard box needs to go stand in the corner and think about they did. Yes, the little sachets that produce the most magical, delicious summertime elixir are, of course, the stars of the show but that little pink, white, and green tin was just so charming--a selling point in its own right and one of the reasons I only hesitated momentarily when seeing the $4.99 price point for 20 sachets! Mango black tea for $1.99 is looking pretty good about now. 😂 Oh, who am I kidding? Yes, I'll still buy Mint Watermelon tea, after all, we were "Mint to Be" but it won't quite as special. Sorry for the rant, lol, I was hoping it would help. Maybe a glass of wine will see me through. 🍷 🙂
I so understand your point and agree! I am one of those people that purchased things based on packaging lol. I’m just thankful I still have a watermelon tin to reflect on the “good times”. 🤣 all jokes aside, sometimes big companies make decisions based on monetary gain rather than aesthetically appealing packaging….boo!!
@@KatieHespe I'm a sucker for cute packaging as well as you probably figured out after that rant, lol. And, I'm almost embarrassed to admit I still have a couple of the tins as well so all is not lost. Even so, I'm going to miss the tins. They were so adorable. Honestly, as I'm typing this, it just occurred to me I can take them from the cardboard box and put them in the tins I still have. You solved my problem! Thanks Katie!
I still have the tin, too, lol. But, if you don't, World Market sells really cute tea tins for about a dollar or so, and they do help keep it fresher than an open box, or, at least I think they do, lol.
Thank you again for another wonderful hall looking forward to the taste test and I will be going to trader Joe's this weekend probably in Chino Hills Southern California
Where in a Trader Joe’s store would I find the Beef-Less Ground Beef? My daughter is vegetarian and I’m always trying to pick up new things for her to try. Also, thanks for the suggestion on using the Trofie Colore pasta for a pasta salad. I picked up 3 bags awhile back and used one package to make a vegetarian pasta salad today for Father’s Day dinner with the family tomorrow.
I’m so glad you’re finding value in my videos. You can find the beef less crumbles in the refrigerated section where the tofu and other meatless products are. Ask a crew member if you can’t find it. 😊
Hot honey on pizza. In my local pizzeria, they have Mike's hot honey for pizza. I've also heard that Ubie will be back next month in the form of mochi!!!!!!
