Just picked up on your video, good review 👍 Down here in Australia looking at getting them in next couple of months. One question though, do you reckon you could fit a wheelchair in the small boot?
I think it might have to be a small wheelchair, you’d maybe squeeze a normal sized one in if you took the parcel shelf out.

Great review. Is ground clearance good? Funky cat is arriving here in Brasil. Some roads here are pitiful....
Obrigado. It’s not terrible but I don’t know how it would be on really harsh terrain. Gets over speed bumps here ok if that’s any guide.

The interior is too wacky and glitzy for me, but it should appeal to many. I don't like the design of the rear. Moving the rear lights to a higher location would increase safety..... And I wouldn't want the camera filming me while I drive. I'd put tape over that....
My tin foil hat protected me Brian, I never leave home without it. I agree about the back end but, as I said in the video, I don’t think the looks are designed to appeal to the likes of me 👍
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru I'm pleased it's not just me then Jim.....it will sell, but not I think to the more mature buyer.... The MG4 was nearer my bag. Stylish on the outside, without being too Thunderbirds Are Go, and fairly conventional inside. Good review though, as usual....

Not for me, I'd rather have the South Korean cars than the multitude of Chinese offers coming our way.

That’s a hard sell ,32k for a Chinese EV ,I know there are others on the go but at least MG has tenuous link to the past ,that’s insane money you need to build the brand before going premium even Lexus found that out…
It ain’t cheap
Very funky but let down by mediocre efficiency and current lease costs puts it against some very stiff competition from established Korean cars
The lease prices will fluctuate a lot I'm sure, as it's a very new brand the pricing will likely be quite volatile as the financiers can only guess at residual value.
Not my cup of tea, and I still believe it’s not the right time to buy an EV yet, but you are spot on: the car is full of personality!

Sadly, China EVs not as cheap as claimed.
This is very much a premium car, it's not designed to be cheap. Cheaper cars are coming from China - hopefully European brands will follow suit and start propducing more affordable offerings too.
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru this car costs about £12k in china, after imports, shipping and taxing between £21-25k would be acceptable but £32k is a joke
@@Aaron-gi1xg that's an insane amount of shipping and tax though isn't it!?! obviously, they need to build a support and distribution network here which will be very expensive too.
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru yeah there's got to be something behind this huge markup that they aren't telling us. It'll be interesting to see how this affects the resale value of them after a few years, when the prices may have dropped and they are mor established
In Australia, even though, like Russia, we do not have any fuel efficiency standards, the base model Good Cat is sold for A$39K in direct competition with the base model BYD Dolphin and base model MG4. The Dolphin is underpowered and the MG4 lacks 360 degree cameras etc. So the Good Cat is pretty competitive though I think they have the marketing wrong, aiming at a masculine market and selling it under the name "Ora" and importing only one colour, the turquoise green, with the two-tone interior, the others having black interior.@@DefinitelyNotAGuru
