Hi Helen and Dave. Booked to stay here for a week in July based on your video. Not been to the North of Norfolk before so really looking forward to it 😃
Hi Dave and Helen. Thanks for the vlog - looks a lovely site, even at this time of year. Enjoyed it a great deal. George and Trish - The CaravanningMacs
Hi there George & Trish, hope you’re both well. Yes we had a nice stay and we’re getting ourselves in the mood for more trips out soon. ATB Dave & Helen
Hi, 3:23 in to your video, was that an English electric lightning? it flashed passed too quickly, to be certain and then you started swearing LOL . We love CL's and this one looks nice, will add this to the list. Stay safe👍Mark & Coral
Hi Mark & Coral, how very observant of you & spot on, it was. They used to be stationed at RAF Coltishall, about 6 miles or so from Norwich. We will be doing more CL’s in the future, lots of benefits. Thanks for watching, ATB Dave & Helen
Hi Helen and Dave. Great looking CL site. Live that airplanes on the edge of the bypass. We must make more of effort to get over Norfolk way. Anyway great video as normal. Take care guys 😷👍 Paul and Sarah
Hi Great video with good information. Although we live in Yorkshire we travel to Norfolk and Suffolk most years and love the area. We’ve stayed at Barleywood and Side-a-Wood in the past and they are both excellent sites, with welcoming owners and in a great location for the area. We are in Suffolk in July at a new CL called Barn Owl Meadows to the east of Bury St Edmunds.
Hi Stephen, many thanks for leaving a comment you’ll know better than most what a little gem this is and although we live on the Norfolk coast we too enjoy our breaks locally. We are hoping to find a nice place to stay soon on the Yorkshire coast Scarborough/Whitby/Bridlington areas. Suggestions very welcome!! Thanks again, cheers, Dave & Helen
Hi both, same, we rarely stay at a CL but there are many advantages. They are a lot cheaper, much quieter and lots of personal touches in most cases. Thanks for watching, cheers Dave & Helen
hi dave & helen right up our street that one what a lovely little find indeed , good clean facilities by the looks of it and big a site for a CL , well worth a visit thanks for sharing mike & kirsty 👍
Nice to see that some of the vlog was “filmed from a Canberra” 😉 good cars the Kia I’d recognise that indicator sound anywhere we have one too, we’re off to Norfolk later this year so are avidly checking yours and H&M’s vlogs of the area, we’re joining the c.a.m.c soon to give more options this year (only c&c at the moment) 🖤🏴☠️
Hi Rick & Heather, yep, the Kia is turning out to be our top car, very pleased with her. Thanks for watching, plenty of lovely places to visit in Norfolk but we especially like to go to North Norfolk around Cromer. ATB Dave & Helen
Hi Both, looks a lovely quiet site, the rest room and wash room was well equipped with everything you need how good were the food stocks with an honesty jar Fab couldn’t ask for more enjoy your stay hope 🐶 enjoyed her walk 😁👍
I'm not sure Richard, I believe it was based at Waddington and carried out bombing practice as part of the Black Buck initial 5 Vulcans, just not sure if it went to Ascension Island or not. Wish there was still a flying example, lovely aircraft.
Hi Dave & Helen, Another great site tour and our kind of CL. How did you find the ground as we’ve never pitched on grass before? Looking forward to your next video at Wells, we’ve never been there. Cheers Rob
Hi Rob, the grass was surprisingly hard, kept short but we worked a shoes and boots policy and we always wash Bellas paws before she comes in the van. Wells is lovely, watch this space! Cheers Dave & Helen
Sorry to be a pain but probably you have covered this topic, what satnav are you using when towing your caravan and does it cover the larger caravan`s as well?
Hello and thanks for watching the channel. The Sat Nav I use is (Aguri) and is designed specifically for caravans & motorhomes. You input the measurements of your vehicle and caravan, Length, width & height and it avoids any roads/bridges that your vehicle will not get down. Here is a link to it amzn.to/40Cqeeh Thanks again, Helen & Dave
Hi Chris, we paid £17 for the pitch didn’t see anything to suggest any charges per extra persons. Contact details via the link, thanks for watching www.barleywood.net
Lovely site, they’ve really thought everything through and make you so welcome. Thanks
Top Drawer! 👍
Great Vlog thats a lovely CL the little touches are so nice i would be buying the jam.
Thank you for watching, the attention to detail and those little touches are what make it special. Cheers, Dave & Helen
We always used to go to Fakenham Racecourse camping in November. This looks like a good alternative 😃 Thanks for sharing ! 💙 Trev n Sue
Hi Trev & Sue, lovely place but it’s a while ago since we were there. Handy for Fakenham, Wells & Burnham Market 👍 Cheers, Helen & Dave 👍

RAF Scunthorpe right on the doorstep there, not operational but used for training by the USAF & RAF. Very nice CL, enjoyed the video.

Top tip, if your doing a long ferry trip freeze a couple of bottles of milk and put in your fridge to keep the contents chilled
Great tip! thanks.Dave & Helen
Wasn’t the Vulcan at Norwich air museum used in the Black Buck missions in 1982?
I'm not sure Richard, I believe it was based at Waddington and carried out bombing practice as part of the Black Buck initial 5 Vulcans, just not sure if it went to Ascension Island or not. Wish there was still a flying example, lovely aircraft.
Yes awesome aircraft. I seem to remember @markfelton visited it and gave some history but memory isn’t what it was!

Lots of aircraft activity around Fakenham especially while U.K. is on high alert
Yes we’ve noticed that too. RAF Scunthorpe is used for training and exercises. 👍 ATB Dave and Helen
