I can relate! I just started on RUclips and it’s easy to compare ourselves to others but we all have our unique stories that inspire or resonate with others. We all have value, we just have to put it out there.
Its definitely best to be authentically you. There are so many strategies that go around and contradict each other too which can be confusing. I think you just need to find what you enjoy posting about and do that. xx
I totally get you! I think what helps is to decide what feels right for you first because when you’ve done enough of it, your audience will naturally find you. It does take time for RUclips to pick up your channel when you don’t niche down, as that’s the same with mine but I’ve intentionally kept it that way first. Otherwise, I don’t think I will enjoy the process as much as it will become like “a performance for work” - no longer fun to sustain 😇
I really think once you niche down you will do very well! You need to have a SPECIFIC target audience in mind, and make videos surrounding that. Having a niche allows youtube to know what your channel is all about and who to recommend it to. Without a niche its just a stab in the dark! Do you have any specific hobbies? That can be a good place to start! I wish you all the best! 💗😽
I like the variety of your videos!! My channel is MUCH smaller than yours (I only have 42 subscribers) so I probably don’t have the best advice but I say post whatever you are feeling. You come across as a nice person with a great personality which is why I keep coming back 😃
You are soooo kind! Thats my hope - for people to feel welcome and like they “know me” - your channel is adorable as well. I love my small RUclips community!! ❤️
I have a RUclips channel and just doing it for fun! I’m NOT! Doing that. I’ll share stories about who I am. I am 60! I am not buying more stuff unless I want. I have a ton to share based on what I’ve done and learned throughout my life. I kinda want this to be left for my kids when I’m gone. How I organize, what I do with friends etc. date nights. Food and cooking.
@@Jodie_Mo Wonderful. Make sure to share your mom wisdom and how those situations worked out for you. Such as telling your kids not to play in the street, or be home when it's dark, etc. How you handled the cold and flu seasons, school meetings, report cards and more.
So I’ve just recently discovered you I think you popped up on my face and I noticed that you was not my age but a little closer to my age than some of the stuff I watch and also you have a about the same amount of subscribers as me so I was like cool cause that’s what I look for sometimes of course I have some of my favorite RUclipsrs but also I like to keep a close community of people that’s closer to my number of subscribers so that maybe we can grow togetherso my question for you is what are your favorite videos that you film like what kind of videos do you like to do the best?
Hi Ms. V!! Thank you!! My fav videos are with my family or really just talking to the viewers- it feels like I’m talking to a friend! When it takes too much effort…too much editing…it can really be a burn out. What about you?? I’ll keep that in mind going forward for Myself - create what is easy and fun!!
Start making 3 minute videos. There is no absolutes in youtube. What do you have in terms of lifetime experience that are unique? Make videos about that. Not to mention, with all do respect. Being a pretty fave helps you.
🌼💛🌼
Yes. Keep it real x

Absolutely! RUclips gets very confusing!! I feel best just being myself and keeping off the comparison train!!
As a new RUclipsr, I can absolutely relate to this, Jodi. You're doing a fabulous job! Don't compare yourself to others. xoxo ♥

I'm also struggling with ideas. Keep going and just be you x
Thank you! You too! It’s an up and down adventure for sure!

Hi Jodi. Make videos about unique experiences as a mom, wife, daughter. Give your take about your life and situations you've been through. RD
Thank you! Being a mom is very easy to talk about - I will do more of that!!
