- In this video, we are flying the iconic FW 190 D9 Dora. There's a 99% chance that I will not fly this plane in real life. However, with simulations like DCS and the beautiful technology of Virtual Reality, it comes as close as it gets! Let's start the engines and go for a spin!

Laubox knows everything about planes and helicopters
ur german sounded really good!
Solid german dude!
Your German is solid bro, good work
I fly in VR and on a curved 34” monitor. VR on the warbirds is at least to me the most realistic because it requires very little reason the go to the mouse or keyboard. The jets are fun in VR but the number of button pushes makes it harder to take advantage of all the technology easily at least for me. Running below the ridge line and through mountain passes in the F-16 using VR is hard to beat for visuals and motion sensing. I’ve been having some success using hand tracking on the Quest 3. Next step is working on getting the ultra leap 2 to work in DCS since it’s now supported. Silly things like work and sleep keep me from dedicating as much time as I’d like to experiment with it. 😅
Pull back on the stick to lock your tailwheel
It will go straight as an arrow.
When taking off, lock the tailwheel until you are ready to lift off the ground, so you wont go off the runnway.
This Advanced FW frequently was stationed with the Me 262 to protect them on take off and landing from allied planes.
Its crazy how people get DCS to work, ive never got it to run in VR let alone on my pc
I watched this because i know you are super enthusiastic about flying in VR!
I am too, mostly IL-2 and MSFS. I recently upgraded from the Rift S to the Quest 3, am very happy with it :)
How do you find the glare on the quest 3?
If I'm looking at bright daylight scenes it's absolutely fine but dark scenes I get lots of hazy ghostly looking fogginess.
Does yours do that? And did the rift s do it?
Thanks
@@The.Toaster am not noticing anything like that with mine, although i have heard other people mention something similar with the quest 3, have you tried a factory reset? that seems to improve clarity for some.
the rift s was more 'washed out' looking in both light and dark scenes (more noticeable in dark scenes) in comparison.
IL runs so much better than dcs in vr. It looks so good. I love the performance 🎉
fun!🎉
Put the prop pitch to manual before starting the engine. Keep your engine rpm around 13-1500 rpm. This will reduce the torque effect and help you taxi more smoothly. Once you're in position to take off, remember to reset your prop pitch to auto. You won't get far if you forget.
This is d9. Every thing is automatic.
Your German pronunciation is good!👍 Keep it up!👍

I don’t know how the flying physics are in DCS but graphic is a bad joke , I fly the Flyingiron BF109 Messerschmitt in VR in MSFS 2020 and it’s WUNDERBAR ! 😍
Ist gud ja ?
Pffff … shit graphics ! 🥶🙈
God bless you sister
