You are absolutely right when you said that Ubisoft is one of the few studios out there who are able to give a mix fiction with history and present it beautifully. But I just fail to understand that how can Ubisoft make such blunders while making shadows? They did so good with origins and odyssey. Valhalla was not that great but still it is not even comparable to what they have done with Shadows. I played Origins just 2 months ago only and I was shocked to hear that the world building and the representation of the Egyptian culture was so good that actual Historians have used to game for their research purposes (something like that). You can tell they did really well in terms of representation of ancient Egypt followed by Greece in Odyssey. What the hell went wrong during shadows?

A simple rule to follow is "Focus on Quality not Quantity" in gaming industry. Biggest Example GTA series. Ubisoft should launch less games but best version of those games. There was no need for STARWARS and AVATAR blah blah, and also the release time between Assassin Creed games is very small, I mean I have not played Origins and yet there are 5 more new assassin creed titles that are already launched, so off course my interest will go down, They should make hype of the games as Rockstar does. I guess Prince of Persia : The Lost Crown was a game from Ubisoft i enjoyed after a longgggg time. and while not the best, i feel Assassin's Creed Mirage was a step in the right direction. If "Shadows" follows that path, i think it could be their redemption arc. They really need to reevaluate their strategy though coz the ice is really thin at this point.

If I buy a game and then I don't own that game, and the publisher company can remove that game any time from my library, then what's the reason that I shouldn't go for piracy. I guess Prince of Persia : The Lost Crown was a game from Ubisoft i enjoyed after a longgggg time. and while not the best, i feel Assassin's Creed Mirage was a step in the right direction. If "Shadows" follows that path, i think it could be their redemption arc. They really need to reevaluate their strategy though coz the ice is really thin at this point.

I really liked it when I saw the star wars outlaws is failing, then AC shadows get bashing from japan and even making headlines. I saw ubisoft stock get tanked to the all time low a few weeks ago.
I've been playing AC Brotherhood for the last few weeks and sometimes splinter cell chaos theory. I feel that it's the very same industry who gave such great memorable games which are the best part of our childhood.
Ac black flag was the uncrown goty for many players around the world when it came.

If I buy a game and then I don't own that game, and the publisher company can remove that game any time from my library, then what's the reason that I shouldn't go for piracy. Like a good game costs in thousands and then there's always a fear that someday they're gonna delete that game automatically even if I wanted to keep that game and wanted to play whenever I want. It's the reason I stopped building my steam library and recently only bought some Indian games - kamla, fears to fathom, Raji and the place on the hill.

i just want them to make good projects with good time constraints because even our sands of time trilogy was a rushed mess like recently i literally feel SOT was more of a complete game than WW & T2T and it's obvious if we see the development time so all they need is time and patience and execution.

AC Syndicate is my first AC game. Loved it. It was smooth and refined. Meanwhile my second AC game AC unity was more of a mixed experience.
Ac series used to be my fav series but this days I don’t even get excited for it last games played ac valhalla and fc 6. I got bored in 6 hours of gameplay same repetitive gameplay all the time.

Suppose you buy an older/outdated game of Ubisoft and you found a bug which makes a game unplayable, then the company won't give it a fix! They'll ask for information about the game, your system, creating an unlisted youtube video describing the bug,etc. it will take a lot of time. In the end they'll raise their hands up stating that the game is outdated and they won't fix the bug! This is totally illogical, so what the game Is outdated? You still are selling it and earning! Please don't buy any game that is older than 1-2 years from ubisoft! It's waste of money!

I don't think you pointed out the biggest reason for their downfall. They DELETE player's accounts for the excuse of they are not active. They DELETE games from player's accounts and say it's okay to not own a game you buy. This is Karma dude!
