  • Fall hike of #Nihahi Ridge SW of #BraggCreek. We hiked to the south summit and then took a scree slope down the west side (Just north of the south summit a few hundred yards) through a gulley to the creekbed. We then headed south through the creekbed to a cool rock canyon which then made its way back to the Elbow river via a service road. Minimal snow, just a little frozen slippery stuff in the trees ascending the east side. Ridge was pretty clean. #thenorthface

Also, the winds are very mild in late summer.

Shaking my head.Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend going anytime other than late august early september and you will have no issues with snow or animals

I love watching your videos. I'm too old now but have done Southwest BC mountains, some of which you have done (Mt Brunswick, The Black Tusk, Coliseum Mtn, etc). Have you ever done Mt. Cook by the Wedge Mtn range just north of Whistler? 8800 ft summit with a scree ascent. No problems or climbing equipment required.

I just want to know, how many bear encounters have you experienced during all of your mountain scramble? I am a fan of your content! Thank you for sharing such amazing contents! I rewatched them time to time

Thanks for watching! Not many actually. Ran into a Grizzly on Smutwood Peak but he just moved away from our group over to the creek. I've seen a couple from a distance but I do make sure to make a lot of noise while I'm out.

nikrk16 Not sure. we monkeyed around on the west side after descending. heading back the same way we came would have been much faster. we were likely 5.5 hours.
