- This bike was sitting for many years and it was a deal I simply couldn't walk away from. It will need some work to make it safe, but nothing I can't handle. More to follow. Thanks for Watching.

Neat New Project!!!
Keep Rocking It Out Brother!!!
Thanks Pat !! Appreciate you stoppin in.
Awesome brother!!!
My Brother, great to see you.
Looks great, love those decals. Sounds like PNO is similar to SORN here - Statutory Off Road Notification, no need to pay road tax or have it inspected/insured.
The decals just scream 1990's and they are there to stay. Thanks for watching Matt...Appreciate it.
AWESOME ONE STEVE. had the DR650rse version
Nice. This is my first Suzuki dual sport and so far it's been really a joy to ride around. Thanks for watching.
I love that you still upload man you are my hero
LOL. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it. I'm not sure why I still upload...it's certainly not for the fame or fortune.
@@yourbeekeeper honestly you saved me on my '87 RM250 build and now I've decided to keep the thing and sell all my other bikes since I'm 19 with no proper storage. Also the Toyota sticky hood latch stuff was good even though I never fixed it on my car.
Nice, be safe and enjoy!!! Blessings!!!
Thank you! You too!
Dual sport bikes are a blast. The Super Moto guys have pretty much killed getting a good deal on these bikes now.
Be well buddy.
Oh, and get rid of the front fender. That's ugly....
Fugly is more like it...lol. I'm going to look into putting a traditional fender that attached to the lower triple tree.
Yeah, the super moto bikes are all over here too and they messed up the market for these bikes.
Cool
Thanks!
Beautifil bike
We agree!
You'll keep the bike you never part with anything lol, you'll fall in love with it, the bike will end up with a full rebuild, end up riding it all summer when the price of gas goes up to 10 bucks a gallon in the Republic of California.
.... this is the guy who sold his Roto-Hoe ... !!!
hahaha.. you know me too well. I have good intentions, but then reality kicks in. lol. The harley gets a consistent 38mpg and I would suspect this is going to be better. I don't have enough road time just yet to be sure.
Dang that front fender is goofy looking. lol
I agree completely...I don't know what they were thinking. I haven't looked into it just yet, but am planning to put a traditional fender that attaches to the triple tree.
@@yourbeekeeper Keep everything original where possible.
Of been looking for a Dr in Europe and was very surprised to see the low fender on most of them.
This is going to be a good project, should be a lot easier than that Yamaha Terra pro was.
This has been a dream to work on in comparison.
Wow, congrats on your new project. Looks to be a nice, all original bike. It does look a bit “slammed” can’t wait to see its progress. Looking forward to seeing it sitting as it was intended to. Always loved this style of bike, i reckon, when it’s done, you won’t want to sell it, and I wouldn’t blame you. Knowing you, it was probably a steal too.
Thanks Kevin. It's been really a fun bike to ride. For now I will keep it...I'm not into this bike for much money at all and so far all the work I have done to it has gone quite smoothly....so it gets great smiles to the gallon.
Shinko makes great aggressive knobbies that are DOT
Yeah, their 50/50 tires look awesome, but in reality this is going to be on the street 90-95% of the time. I live along the coast and we get a lot of fog and marine influence and aggressive knobbies on damp or wet asphalt are suicidal.
Pss! Two coils, two plugs, hehe!
Wondering about the quality of that O ring chain and sprocket set for under $60.
I am wondering the same thing. I will give it a try and see how it holds up.
.... dont cheap out on the 28yo fork seals with brake fluid no doubt that oil is nasty ... You can't beat a Suzuki .. to bad the Japanese put pink and seafoam green badging on the mid -90's stuff ... They sure are proud of those 17 rear tires $$... ouch ... !!
Spoiler alert...I did replace the seals and not sure why I initially thought I would cheap out on a $15 set of seals. I can't believe just how expensive these tires have gotten. ugh. Thanks for watching.
... Awesome ...im all for cheap though for sure ... nice find ..!!
the tire are by size for the $$ like the light truck 14's .. only so many manufactures so supply/demand $$ .. I bought last about 2003 and wanted a Honda Rhune but checked the replacement tire cost was $650 ... each .. ! and that is cash & carry about 20 years ago .. my BMW takes Harley Sporster tires so they run abut $100 each and ive went though over ten sets so far .. Ha Ha .. !

Raise that bike up and remove that front fender . At least avoid deep mud if you don't . Drum rear brake . I have a 1990 DR350s and mine is a rear disk brake . Whats the most your gonna get for that bike 2300 ? Because at that price you can get a used DRZ 400 . Why did Suzuki stop making the DR lineup but the 650 . The DRZ didnt make more power and the torque over the DR350s . It was less and the bike is uncomfortable and heavy . Heck my DR 350s was faster than my DRZ . Well I rode it faster . It is lighter almost the same h.p. better torque and even making it water cooled it still didnt make any extra h.p.
