Tried the migration method first. I removed all drives except the one I am trying to get the OS transferred to. Doesn't get any farther than the Windows loading screen. Tried this method and am still getting the same thing. I let it run for hours (while we went out to dinner) to see if it just needed more time, but came home and it was still on the black screen with the blue Windows symbol and the continuous rotating loading symbol. WHY?
The migration tool straight up didn't work for me, was getting "Required device isn't connected or can't be accessed" Trying the cloning tool and hoping that somehow works. If that fails I'll just do a fresh install. Trying to revive an inlaws PC by putting an SSD in it. Don't feel like helping them get all their weird programs back so I was reaaaaaaally hoping to clone the drive.
@T K didn't work. Ended up doing the old fashioned windows clean install and then manually installing programs and trying to get files the way they were before. Very sad.
press start and then come back literally 2 days later, just to take a drive, and take the unallocated space and merge it. 2 tb drive. 990gigs used, 1tb unallocated, no space in the middle. 2 days. unmatched.

Coned mine and my PC wouldn't boot(i didn't remove the m.2 drive). I had to remove the destination drive to get my PC to boot.

Every time I try to clone my system drive on a WD 500GB blue I get an error , I don't know how to solve this.
Maybe try a different program and see if you get better results.

maybe the disk is locked by bitlocker?... check again
Doesn't work. Getting an error code 3705 using a new ssd. The ssd has been used before so it's a good one.
Try the migration option. You might have better luck.
