And an idea of something for your survival kit is maybe more water bottles, more food, and i actually have gone to camp before so I think you should also get some big flashlights that hang up on the tents, because it can be really dark. also, I'm a huge fan, and it would mean a lot to me if i got the kit because i could share it with my siblings and i could use it for camp this year. After living in a tent, it’s really helpful to check for bugs first, then don’t open the tent til morning. Get in your sleeping bag (they were all on top for some reason?) so that you have more protection in case you missed one. I think I would add sleeping pads and some types of games or something- this was very much a mental challenge for them and something to keep a positive morale I think would have helped. Maybe also just prepare them by going camping in a regular way so that it can be associated with a fun experience and they would have practice.

After living in a tent, it’s really helpful to check for bugs first, then don’t open the tent til morning. Get in your sleeping bag (they were all on top for some reason?) so that you have more protection in case you missed one. I think I would add sleeping pads and some types of games or something- this was very much a mental challenge for them and something to keep a positive morale I think would have helped. Maybe also just prepare them by going camping in a regular way so that it can be associated with a fun experience and they would have practice.
