For me, this was the standout piece at So Percussion's Mostly Mozart (clearly not Mozart!) supper show at the Stanley Kaplan Penthouse (Lincoln center) last night. I wondered if those liquids were actually in those glasses but composer Viet assured me it was just water! When they start playing the "rim" of the glass around 8:00 it is haunting and evocative. You have to see that. Bravo Viet, So, and thank you to my friend Rob Robbins (www.allianceartistmanagement.com) for opening my ears to this!
Great for doing breath work. Otherworldly.
A delightful snack for the ears! Just about he only musical sound you didn't get out of the wine glasses was the sound of them breaking.
Followed by "Mahzeltov!"
Fantastic piece!
