Had an anthroplasty 4 months ago. Now my right leg is 7/16 longer. Put a lift in and no more pain. One leg has always been about 3/16 shorter but after operation it was intolerable on my knee and lower back. Lift worked for me
Hip arthroplasty and surgery in general is a bit different circumstance then what I was describing in the video. Very possible it could happen. Glad it was helpful for you! I've also seen subconscious tone and tension around the pelvis a protective response to pain after surgery that made the leg appear longer/shorter. So certainly either are possible. Good to keep an open mind and a lift can certainly be useful for some. Just not the majority. Glad you shared your experience with everyone here so they can recognize the other side too. Thanks!
I appreciate the effort you put into these videos as well as the continued churned out content. Very nicely laid out.
@mcrickyd32 thank you! Appreciate you watching the content!
Excellent video! I’ve been looking for this type of information, looked at so many videos with physical therapist and no one explained it so well the way you did. Thank you! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I appreciate that Nancy! Thanks for watching :)
You should get WAAAAAAAAY more credit for your content!!! I am currently dealing with 2 injuries(well 4 actually), but two are more of a concern while being at my lowest performance of my life and just looking at your videos is shooting, despite my condition getting worse.
I appreciate the kind words Marko! Glad you found the videos useful :)
my hands are like that... not my legs like my right hand is short and the other one is long.
I have a functional LLD. I've been going for chiropractic treatment for 6 years and nothing has fixed the problem. I get adjusted. The balance is restored. Three days later, the imbalance is back. Physical therapy hasn't worked, either. I told my chiropractors that the LLD causes knee pain in the longer leg. The latest chiropractor said that shouldn't happen and that he couldn't see any mechanism related to an LLD that would cause it. I went online and Googled the symptoms of LLD. Knee pain was a primary and common symptom. I have realized over the years that most chiropractors are clueless and have almost no idea what they are doing.
So many misconceptions around this topic!
This is so helpful especially when you said it could happen because of standing on one limb longer. I’ve fractured my left femur and i not a lot to put weight left leg yet so my always on my right leg with my crutches.
Glad you found it helpful :)
You did a great job. I fall because of a health issue and every Doctor says something different.my leg is shorter because muscles have tightened. You did a great job explaining. l will gladly subscribe.
Thanks Gary!
❤Thank you
Most welcome!
We need a video on Lateral pelvic tilt.
Good idea, will put it in on the docket for future videos
Is there any chance to occurs higher hip with leg longer in same leg
This exercise is for longer or shorter one
It's crazy how much misinformation there is. I was told for years that i only have a "functional LLD" by looking at my legs after doing some "adjustments". Now with 24 i've got a full leg length xray and my right femur is actually 1cm and my right tibia 0.6cm shorter. 4 Orthopedics before failed to diagnose this. It's a shame. Now it's actually obvious to me. When i stand only on my left leg and then switch over to my right my whole body hight drops slightly. Also my whole body is shifted to the right when my knees are fully extended.
I have the same. Have you undertaken anything to fix it/compensate for this?
I have spondylolisthesis. I can feel my left leg is longer. It's making my hips hurt. And i notice it more when i work out. It feels like my leg is digging into my hip at times 😩
Sorry to hear that, I know it can definitely be frustrating. Ive worked with a number of people who have spondylolisthesis. Have a client right now who was diagnosed with that and back to doing yardwork and lifting 95lbs pain free off floor only weighing 130lbs. So it can definitely be improved!
The first part is nice, but when copying content to this degree shouldn't you mention the original source?
👏👏👏
Hi I did biopsy on 2017 now my leg it's short and it's pain fool
Does The long limb because of anterior ilium rotation and hip internal rotation??
That's generally how it starts. Or a tilt/side bend movement of pelvis and back. The femur and all the joints downstream can react to this in a variety of different ways. That's downstream. The foot will impact it upstream. No way to tell which started first, can just make assumptions. Either way, your training should be mindful of both!
I can't walk
You don't know what your talking about. It is measured with a simple scanogram x ray. You shouldn't be giving medical advice on something you know nothing about.
Yeah i agree , I do think some of the things he said was correct but there some who like myself have slightly different length legs, and it's a fact, it's not just in the hips or pelvis.
Mine was just an examination at the hospital medical qualifications are different but just o e book on it
They don't charge on the NHS and you. can't just ordet tests like Americans can. The NHS is paid with taxpayer money and budgets.
