Doesn't matter that he is German; who cares what nationality they are, it's all about how one carries oneself on the oche. Out of order on the Littler match, but good that he later apologised (esp in light of how Littler went on to win the final in such a fashion), but also for some peace of mind.
I like him. I don't care that he's German - and I'm English - but I agree he does need to work on the mental side of his game. Especially now as he's telegraphed it as a weakness. If I was playing him, at the moment I'd definitely try to get under his skin.
Indeed, also English, and I couldn't care less what nationality they are. Darts is different and boorish nationalistic pride or whatever shouldn't be a thing. Ricardo just happens to be a bit of a girl and also a German, one doesn't necessarily beget the other. He just needs to get his head and petulance under control because it ruins his game. The booing is out of order, however.
For someone who doesn't handle negative crowds very well he's made a huge mistake getting into Littler's face the way he did. The fact is Littler is not only the most popular player in the UK right now, but he's still just a 17 year old kid. Considering the majority of big tournaments are held in the UK Pietreczko is likely going to get some serious stick, and you only need look at Price to know the fans can keep that going for years to come. Price has somewhat earnt their respect now, so they will love a new target. I wouldn't be surprised if that's been pointed out to him, and that's why he's apologised.
Interesting. Everybody is different in the way they handle pressure. I don't think he's a bad guy. I would imagine it's much easier to play darts at such a high level when the fans aren't down on you. What I would like to know if if his apology to Luke was sincere, or if his management gave him no choice in the matter. Time will tell I suppose if he has is best interests in mind.
He seems like a very emotional player, thus his problem with booing crowds. His apology shows he is a good person who needs to get his mental side under control. It is fun to watch his games.
@@smashyrashy i can understand that , imo i think hes got quite a silky smooth throw which i find fun to watch when hes on it with that throw its kinda beautiful but again when hes playing bad or not to a good standard i think ur completely valid
He can very obviously play but really needs to keep calm. I believe if he did he'd be even better. It must be difficult for any player to play in front of a big crowd, but that's the nature of the game. For sure if you react like he's done you're a target. Still believe that if he sorts his mentality he could possibly be one of Germany's best ever.
He's a really decent player, but he needs a coach to help the mental side. Luke Humphries used to suffer terrible anxiety, but he's learnt to manage it with some help and is world No1.....so it works !
Don’t mind him. Some people are insecure by nature. I also don’t mind players giving it to the crowd or each other. Not everyone want to watch robots playing darts, I like to see emotion, nerves, passion, controversy at times. That’s what is wrong with the premier league these days, they are all happy chappy travel buddies, all hugs and laughs on stage. Maybe it’s because they are all making so much money anyway that it ‘really doesn’t matter too much’ win or lose.
when Ricardo shows up in german or bavarian tournaments he is a very cool and friendly guy. not a vip, just one of us. he needs to learn to control himself under the massive pressure strong player and big crowd (me too^^) and he will. even in england he still got some credits left, because he is a special darts player with unexpected ways to get on a finish or to finish. yes he did mistakes, yes he knows it, yes he will calm down (a little bit) and no he stays a special darts player. the only thing i hate is the german crowd try to interrupt all other not german players, dumb ppl, there is nothing better then to play a 1 on 1 on a big stage. greetings from germany.
Rager is perhaps a expression tp stronge ,he is really emotional and has some problems with the crowd ,but he is not the only ..its for a lot of sportmens difficult to be booined ,with all the efforts to reach the top ...he has to learn not to react to the crowd but i´m afraid thats already too late ..the crowd are like children and like provocation...
Quite the opposite from being a `rager`, he`s more like a crier! His reactions are indicative of immaturity towards things he doesn`t like. Needs to learn quickly, and stay away from social media if he`s to progress and enjoy the game. Only my opinion, but I get the impression he`s got a bit carried away with his Euro Tour win, and thinks everyone should afford him some huge level of respect.
He don't like the crowd booing him, he is going into VERY hard times! He acts like a spoiled toddler. I like him as a player but he lost my support after the matches against Greaves and Liddler, now I just hope the crowd will boo a bit more. :-)
Ricardo was being silly against beau greaves then against littler. He is going to start to get himself disliked and the pantomime villain in darts and booed in the UK. UK darts crowds love to boo a pantomime villain.
Being a huge fan of him and how nice he seems as a player, even when saluting, I felt so ashamed for him when he acted like he did with Beau. Nearly roaring in my own head why he was getting the crowd against him. Granted it's not easy up there when everyone is against you, and of course if you're playing a woman! Can't forget Ted Evitts! But fair play to him in what occasion to just get on with the game. It's just drama at the end of the day and someone has to win! Really hope Ricardo learns to control himself and not make it harder for himself. Want to still be a fan man!
He is a bit arrogant, or he looks like that the latest time. The littler game he just got to frustated, he needs to learn and put that energy to himself and his game. I like his game alltough it’s not constant. But he needs to change his attitude or all the fans are going to be against him. It’s not pleasant anymore to watch and that he needs to learn.
Utter 🛎️ 🔚. Zero respect or sympathy with him . Once we can all get , loses his head - apologise move on . But over n over . Not a huge fan of the crowd involved but hope tho go for him now .
He is a German and only they are allowed to be arrogantly. He was a favorite player of mine, but now a days I hope more will come like Luke Littler to show him wat Darts makes as interesting as it is. Sorry but even an excuse does not make an adult out of this almost 30 years old child.
calling him the biggest rager is a long shot ngl
Not with Adam Smith-Neale and Gervyn Price around.
@@justinress2782 dunno why you mentioned price but yeah, theres a lot of players who made more fuss than this guy
@@justinress2782 mentioning price over Lewis or even Collin Lloyd or manly is outrageous
Adrian Lewis trumps them all. An a$$ of a bloke on the oche.
Seriously. This is clickbait. Just a story of a guy who isn't as good at drowning out the crowd as others. Wtf
Honestly he's one of my favourite players, however I do agree with what was said at the end! He definitely needs to work on his mentality.
Littler? Not even arrogant. People just cant handle losing to somebody younger
@@smashyrashy Sorry to burst your bubble, but he is arrogant😂 But he backs it with some unreal darts.
@Cowabunga10101 your confusing confidence with arrogance. Jealous much? 🤡
@@normality3848 Not confusing anything, i just lile to call things what they actually are and not what i want them to be.

i was disappointed when he acted the way he did aginst Littler, because ive always seen him as a very chill composed player
If Pietreczko watches this he will have "words" with you dude 😂
Decent video.
He looks more like Banette than Pikachu with those yellow teeth. The red eyes match his demeanor too.
I think Pikachu really needs to get his mentality in order, and most definitely needs to handle the pressure in a stable manner.
I usually have my own nicknames for a lot of the pro dart players. Let it be known, RageArdo is his name.
unfortunately he isn't a nice individual.
Sounds like Mervyn King 2.0 in the making! 😂

Video from Beaus match would have been nice - he really embarrassed himself there. Also, when/why did he coin the name Pikachu?
They should give Pikachu a Thunderstone so he can finally evolve into an adult
