These are great cars! Especially with 4.9. V8. But I will say the locking door problem is a common problem. Always leave a window down! And grab your keys! Lol. Nice car!
I have a 1994 deville but its been sitting in a garage for a while and is missing some parts. electrical works with new batter but just cant get her to turn over. Cant wait to get it fixed up.
Bought one with 50k miles on it ive been running it for 2 years now without any major problem , muffler has rusted out etc small things you would expect from a 94 appart from that fuck all. Starts right up every morning if maintained good , be sure to check on your oils at least 1 a week and your good to go for a while if it was previously maintained good
A Few Notes To Regard. 1. The Trunk Lid Arms are missing The Black Plastic Sleeves that hide the metal arms connecting the trunk lid to the trunk arm hinges. (All Sedan Devilles had those installed). 2. If that engine is the 4.9 Liter Northstar Engine l, check vinid online, or inquire at a GM dealership IF THAT Engine has been serviced for Head bolts and lower assembly bolts replacement. If not Then Stay Away From That Car. UNLESS you plan on actually spending the roughly 8K in Engine rebuild using Stainless Steel Engine Studs, Not Engine Bolts. The Replacement Engine Stainless Steel Studs and lower engine assembly Stainless Steel Studs are One and Done Guaranteed. 3. That transaxle is problematic, yes that's a Front Wheel Drive Sedan. Check to see if that transaxle transmission has been rebuilt. Not just services. The clutch packs in those transmissions fail due to the oul breaking down due to heat soak. A rebuild and use of Amzoil Transaxle Synthetic fluid, and an installation of an oil cooler for the transaxle will remove the heat soak Issues. I know this Because My wife's mother got her 94 Sedan Deville brand New and suffered all of the problems related to these cars. Because my wife has stayed by my side during my Army Career. I paid for the above mentioned replacements and installations. And Still to this day that cadi is problem free and my wife's mother still wants to keep it. She keeps the cafi in very good condition and GM Did a good job with the initial fit and finish. So it's holding up very well inside.
Much like one of my grandmother's Buicks. She managed to ding every corner but probably never felt any impact. Is that car supposed to have rear fender skirts?
WD40 Is Not A Lubricant. Use Synthetic Lithium Grease applied with a small straight Bristle brush to the hinges and springs and latching mechanism. WD40 is a water deloution spray. Meaning used to remove moisture from electrical and mechanical devices. It's Not A Oil Lubricant.
This was my 1st car in high school. I highly recommend it. Once you learn to drive this, you can drive anything

How that end up working for ya
I’m thinking of buying one of these used as my first car, thoughts?
My dream. Greetings from Poland
Good cars if you get one with the 4.9 V8. Whatever you do, don't buy one with a Northstar engine!

you can buy a Northstar engine as long as it is not 1996 to 2006 those were the more problematic years
@@JLoR626 1996 to like 2006 were the worst years don't dog on all of the engines for a few bad years.

Looks exactly like my 96 Deville

Fender skirts came installed, but could be deleted at purchase.
21:16 Hey, there was a stop sign! You MUST stop!
Spray wd-40 on your door hinges.

What did they use to touch up those chips and scratches? White out? 😂
I hate the mud flaps so crappy on this car
