We have been wearing all these before the Steve Jobs came along. It’s always been a popular shoe, all the gray 99x’s. I was wearing these in middle school, late 80’s. If it wasn’t for DC and Maryland, this shoe probably wouldn’t still exist. This is the number one selling shoe over any sneaker or boot in Maryland and DC, always has been.
I was lucky to walk into a new balance shop in Singapore and get my pair at retail (which was the last pair in my size) about 2 months ago. Was eyeing this and even considering resale back then. My only new balance shoes in my collection.

Great video trying to get the Todd Snyder’s and wasn’t sure about sizing. Just bought my first pair 9 1/2 990v3 made in USA. I’m not sure about sizing at all, I am typically a size 10 but I do not want that long toe fit.
I wear a 9.5 in 990v3, 9.5 in ALD 550’s & 9 in ALD 1300’s. Do these fit as big as the ALD 1300 do? I had to half size down in those but the others fit fine, going half size down in them would fit too snug. I wear cushioned socks & thicker ones now that fall is here.

I feel your pain. Can't justify dropping £200 on a pair in the UK. The made in UK pairs aren't any cheaper which makes no sense. We always pay over the odds here.
@@jimwocha4949 It's because the quality is a no contest compared to the slave labor factories that Nike has. You need to factor in how long these shoes will last my 992's are going 3 years with just superficial scuffs and I use them at the gym all the time.
I agree that the quality is worth the cost and it's good to support businesses who make stuff here. NB quality in general is superior to Nike. Just picked up a pair of 2002rs and the quality is much better than the Nikes I own.
i feel you but i paid £200 retail for the black version of the 992s directly via the new balance website. Tbh i still don’t regret dropping retail on these, the black ones aren’t even on the website anymore! I’ve had them for 1 year 4 months and they still look brand new
It’s weird how the sizing for UK is half a size difference from the US size, and a whole size difference from the EU size. For example I’m usually a UK9 (US10) but for NB the box will say UK9 (US9.5). They must get tons of returns from people in the UK getting the wrong size.

Same with me. Only models I actually go 1/2 size down are 997 MiUSA, 998 MiUSA and 990 V2. TTS fits me perfect for 990 V3,V4,V5. 991,992,993.
