Did you know this film?
I have not heard of this film, but would love to see it. At risk of sounding like the old lady I may be becoming, I love a movie that has great actors with a great story with no need for fireworks, circuses, or screaming dialogue, I think the story of the resistance is an amazing testament to what people can do if put into impossible circumstances, I will surely try to see this, thank you as always for the video and thoughtful commentary
Amen to all of this a movie needs good actors, good story to tell, and good ideas. Thank you 😃
Rented it this morning on Amazon Prime. Great movie...👍👍
So glad you liked it 😀😀😀
Also recommended: Carve Her Name with Pride, the story of Violette Szabo.
Thank you, I did not know about this one
Never heard of this film before. I'll have to check it out. My favorite film on the French Resistance is called "The Train" from 1964 with Burt Lancaster and Jeanne Moreau. Have you seen it?
Thank you, not yet but it is on my to-watch list now 🙂
I think I've seen this movie,a long time ago,I've seen most of Burt Lancasters movies,he's a fantastic actor,an when he teamed up with Kirk Douglas, there's magic for you.
I cannot remember if I have seen this before - it's possible - but you have made a very good case for me to seek it out now. 👍
Have a nice watch 🙂
Hi there my friend, love these movies your telling us about, being Scottish I've never heard of most foreign films, unless it's a masterpiece,so I'm hoping to see this movie,it sounds intense.
On another note, will you be filming a short movie from the museum, telling us more what you guys are doing,I love museums, but you can't just pop to France all the time, well you could if you were rich.
Thank you very much my friend, I hope you enjoy it! As for the museum, I'm going to go and vlog about the history of life under the occupation through the visit while showing archive images :)
Happy days
This will be good 🍿
I promise 🫡
Topic aside, the film looks stunning. Hadnt heard of it before. Do you know if it is available to stream?
I think it's only available on Google play(i.e 💶💶) if you want to go "by the book"... definitely worth the watch if you are curious about the topic or if you just like good movies 😃
