I really like your videos. As a person who used to dive (I'm too old now) I want to see diving, not chit chat. That's what you are giving me. Thank you!
Deus2 is really a amazing machine for undetwater use im metal detecting for living and hands down the deus 2 is the best underwater detector i used so far
awesome hunt! NH Beach Metal Detecting said you have the best channel on Utube! love your videos! we had really good luck the last few weeks with the xp2!
I use the same setup just with the bone conduction headphones , try the 11x13” coil I alternate between that and the 9” coil. Also the beach sensitive using pitch tones loves small gold earrings and thin women’s rings . Love your videos .
Hello, what is your preference for the bone induction earphones? I'm also curious if rhwy can be used on land. I'm loving the videos but also like to hear ehy people choose one over the another.
@@cidmud713the bone conduction headphones can be heard clearly over your breathing while diving also they do not tend to float off your head and when you have to wear a hood they fit between it and the hood . I’ve used them on land where I wanted to hear my surroundings since they don’t cover your ear. Otherwise on land I prefer the wireless back phones .
Thank you very much. I m getting the dive shaft along with the package so I can have 2 set ups. I'm guessing coils arw easily interchangeable. If you use the bone conductors on land do you use them with a cable. I'm guessing I will need two cables, one for the land shaft and one for the dive shaft. Not sure how it all works yet but am prettt excites to see how ot all works. I guess the airless headphonesbwould be best on the land shaft.
@ you don’t need the cable for on land but it won’t hurt to leave it on. Cable is only necessary when the coil is submerged as the radio frequency will not travel through the water . I have multiple shafts for the various coils it just makes it easier the deus 2 is a versatile machine and with an extra coil and extra shaft you can have two running machines one using the remote and the other the wireless headphones .
well played Carter// the D2 slaying the well hunted spot DEF tells you there is MUCH more there!!! ocean or bay? def salt or brackish based on the decomp on the brass/etc
Personal taste, I like having the full headphones. Tried the bone and it wasn't my thing. Been underwater metal detecting now 41 years, you know what they say about Old Dogs
Digging into that sand clay mixture is what clouds everything up, the Fanning actually helps clear it up. Not a huge fan of the pin pointers underwater, all personal preference because I know people that love them
Hello!!Great video, again!!Sorry i'm asking here, but your opinion weighs a lot.My Excal is geting realy old and soon i'll be needing a new detector.I love the Excal, but everyone seems to be moving on to new and better ones.If you had the resources just to buy one, which one would it be?Thank you!!
The Excal has been my go to dive machine for many years because it is simple and reliable. After having this one successful dive with the D2 in an area that I've hit hard with the Excal, I am definitely going back in the water next week trying the D2 again. Too soon to make the Excal permanently my number 2 machine, I am excited about working the same area again with the D2
Picking up the swim buckles over a foot and the coins are sounding good at about 10 inches. Always hard to tell when digging in sand and rocks because the hole is constantly caving in
really like your videos-good info that comes along with them. I'm curious if you've used the manticore diving and if so which do you prefer? Thanks for the adventure
Awesome finds! Thanks for taking us along. Not to question your technique but just curious as to why you do not use a pinpointer? I think it would vastly cut down your recovery time, especially once the item is out of the hole.
I used to use a pinpointer but I find it cumbersome. Some people like them underwater all the time but I'll use them only if the visibility is non-existent
Absolutely. I find that the numbers are extremely accurate on both deep and shallow targets. On deep targets the numbers will read almost identical when the Target is out of the hole.
I started out using the 11-inch coil because I like the coverage and the depth. I might try the 9-in coil if I get into an area with more iron trash but for now I'm happy with the 11
Quick question what are you using for power on the electrolysis? How many volts and Amps/mA does it use. Or what ever the unit of power it uses? I got confused and stumped myself for a second there 🫤. It's volts and amps I believe right. Anyway I noticed it seemed hot as it bubbled instantly when you dropped the gold ring in
@@steveallen984 if bubbles instantly because there was a lot of baking soda in the water so the conductivity was high. Any 12-volt Transformer works fine just be sure to put the good Target on the negative and the scrap metal on the positive
Love your videos but especially the dive videos. Nice finds and looked like the Deus II was living up to its reputation.
Awesome hunt thanks!!!!!!

The BEST! gosh I need to try out the xp underwater. things doing great. loved the video sir. I hope you have a great rest of your week!
Fabulous video. I love how Carter shares signal numbers
Great dive hunt Carter!! I really enjoy your dive videos. Congrats on great finds and beautiful rings!

Been waiting for your dive with the D2. Great vid and great machine. Like you said, fantastic accurate vdi at depth and stable. Happy Hunting!
Love the old man’s ring too. Thanks
I always look Forward to your videos 👍
Love the snake ring, cleaned up nicely
Scrubba dub dub, more gold in the tub !
Very nice clean up of the finds.

Wouldn't using a pin pointer speed up recovery rather than fanning & limiting visibility? another great vid Carter!

Thank you!!!Only thing i'm afraid of is diving with a display machine in rough waters and rock bottom. The Excal is really tough.
What fun. What depth are you considering as deep in those conditions? Any possibility there are even deeper targets just out of detectability?

Are the numbers consistent on a deep target and a shallow targets
Absolutely. I find that the numbers are extremely accurate on both deep and shallow targets. On deep targets the numbers will read almost identical when the Target is out of the hole.
Are you using dive mode? It's always very chattery for me while diving in salt water
You may need to lower your salt sensitivity in order to quiet down the detector in saltwater.
Hello, i would like to see how you set tour rig up when you go diving.
Awesome hunt. What size coil do you like in that scenario?
