Despite not being your best model, that sinking is extremely good and realistic... That final part kinda reminds me of the sinking of the Italian Ocean Liner Andrea Doria
Ships do tend to capsize when sinking though, so I think it's alright. Probably there was a lack of weight to really pull the ship down since cardboard is kind of neutrally buoyant, and that's why it kinda didn't sink
Yeah that’s the exact reason. I built this before the sinking of the main model to experiment around and look how it behaves, that’s why I wanted it to sink like Titanic. In the end I just figured out the thing with the inherent buoyancy threshold and managed to sink the main model as planned
I don't think any of us care if the video ain't up to standards, I just found you, and these are some of the nicest cardboard ships I've ever seen. I'm envious, lol
Wow this looks great! While it may not be like your standards and was more so a test for sinking, its still better than an Cardboardaman ship ive ever built and sunk!
As I mentioned in the beginning, it was a proof of concept. The video was an afterthought. I built this ship to test the sinking behavior of bigger cardboard ships with an artificial draft, had I not done that the main model’s sinking would have failed miserably.
That was a 13 day build, I can’t devote so much time to that now, I need to completely sink the main model. I did take a lot of pictures during the construction though so I’ll probably just edit all of them into a video and upload that
I’ll edit the pictures I took during the construction into a video and upload that, I can’t make a tutorial right now. I still think the pictures will help a lot
Well so maybe the list was because example: So the ship sanks you have put coins or rocks inside so it sinks and due to the list these coins/rocks were sliding to the side were the ship is listing, causing it to be not able to stabilize
The whole cargo hold was filled with rocks, they wouldn’t even have had enough space to slide. No, they just didn’t weigh enough to counteract the buoyancy of the cardboard itself, so it took over and the buoyancy inside the artificial draft made the ship list and eventually capsize
Well, hey can i say you something i plan to do?, i plan to do a titanic model with full interior and a size identical to what it had in real life but in a way it would have if it was at a tiny size for a cardboard ship, i plan to do that to reveal how much the ship listed during the sinking
That listing simulation (or sinking in general) is not gonna work with cardboard though. It’ll just generate buoyancy and the model would fall apart at the surface instead of sinking
@@flourypath Yeah, but if you added interiors there wouldnt be any space for the rocks and the additional cardboard from the interiors would generate EVEN MORE buoyancy

That’s better than my models
Even tho its below yr standards its a nice video to watch while waiting for the titanic model
Even tho you think it's below your standards, I think it was still really cool to see :D
I was hoping we would get to see this
Nice ship + can you please do a ship tutorial on how to make it to how to sink it!
I’ll have to build a 1/100 scale carpathia for the main project, I think I’ll do that in tutorial form
Cool!
Cowgirlchloe would be proud

Hahah thanks!
Its better than i can do so to me that looks like a masterpiece
Haha thanks!
Hey man the ship may not be the best of the best but it’s good and the singing was cool good video man
Thanks!
Nice the ship looks good 👍
you need to give your self more self credit this is amazing and like you said it was just a proof of concept

That is just ✨🔥👌
0:14 bro got that Tiny sailor’s world ahh sound
I just go it from another RUclips video, I never even played that game 😂
That sound originated from roblox titanic not tiny sailors world

RAHHHH IVE BEEN WAITING FOR 7 MONTHS PLEASE RELEASE THE SINKING VIDEO IM DYING FOR IT 😭😭😭
The stern isn’t even sunk yet and there’s still SOOOOO much more to do
@@Mr.401_Official 😭

GUYS NOV. 9TH IS 3 DAYS AWAY SOMETHING ABOUT THE CARBOARD TITANIC HAPPENS THAT DAY
YES! (hopefully)
good video, but why did you not paint the ship? the ship was detailed and it looked good. Ive also had that problem with the stern not rising.

Will we ever see images of the wrecks of these? Or are we only going to see the titanic?
Unfortunately I don’t live anywhere near that lake and the water is way too muddy to see anything
VERY GOOD
Pls make a Tutorial how to make the ship pls

I wanna know HOW YOU MAKE IT it’s sooooo good better then MINE I get even make a bow or stern

Hello brother (figuratively), could you give me the dimensions of your carboard titanic If it's not a problem, then in cm, thanks :)
Sure!
Length: 269cm
Width: 30cm for A deck and above, 28cm for the hull
Height: 30cm to boat deck, ~52cm to funnel tops
Hope that helps!
@Mr.401_Official thanks so much! Its gonna help me :D

Broooo! I’ve tried building 10 cardboard ships…..it has takes weeks in total! But mine all look like total rubbish! Especially compared to this!
What kind of glue are you using?
4:07 the first funnel is tipping
Yeah it actually fell off completely a short while after that
