Two quadrant operation of the N6785A 80W source measure unit means that it can function both as a source and a load. In this video the source measure unit is used as a load. This is very useful for testing the actual capacity of the battery. In this demonstration the SMU is configured as a constant current source. The battery voltage and current is measured over time.
