The kid has James White's feet, Montee's break tackle ability, Melvin's stiff arm, can catch the ball like White and Dare did and has better speed than all of them. He's got a real chance at some hardware at the end of 2018.

We are fortunate. Montee Ball, James White, PJ Hill, Ron Dayne,, and Jonathan Taylor are certainly all recruits that we didn't expect to do as well as they did. It has been a fun ride and I think things are only getting better. (Melvin was way better than estimated too but he was a bigger recruit)

Love him, but he fumbles WAAAAYYYY too much. He runs often with the ball open instead of high and tight. Have to correct that bad habit.

I think Taylor's NFL comp (if he continues developing) is Emmitt Smith. No one attribute about him really stands out at first. But he's just a complete running back. Above average speed, quickness, vision, and strength. I'm not saying he'll go on to get as many yards as Emmitt or anything, but if everything goes right and he stays healthy he could be special.
Peter Ignatowski He's a better athlete than Smith and no disrespect to Emmitt but he was largely a product of that monster Oline and playing longer than other backs similar to Marcus Allen and Frank Gore. Taylor looks more like Ezekiel Elliott if anyone.
